As ever, good wine, pleasant outside environment and conscientious service. Jim Glendenin is a pioneer of the California wine industry and continues to produce excellent wines. Well worth a visit for anyone who appreciates good, interesting wine.

The wine tasted lovely. But the quality of service they deliver (and quantity of wine per tasting) depends on how much money they perceive you have - they CLEARLY pour different amounts for different people. Even Napa wasn’t as snobby.

I enjoy their wine and am member of their wine club. I am giving them only 2 stars because of poor customer service. In the last 90 days I have emailed them four times on two separate issues but received only one response. That response was late. Very frustrating.

We had a great tasting, really a step up in terms of quality from the most of the other wineries in downtown SB & the funk zone. Signed up for the club membership (which I dont do) and purchase a few bottles that day. Really nice range of wines that are an expressions of the terroir.

The best wine club in all of Santa Barbara county! Ive been a member for over 4 years and am still surprised with some of the wines that show up on the tasting list... Their wine library is so extensive that they can rotate things on the menu to always keep it interesting. We love to go wine tasting here because the wine is fantastic but we also really enjoy learning about wine with everyone who works there!

If I could give them no star, I would. Natalie was rude the moment we walked in. I went in with five other of my girlfriends (all professionals in our forties) and we barely got through the door when she immediately told us that she can not accommodate six as we needed reservation before noon (which is not on there website and they were not open before noon). We noted that only four of us wanted wine tasting and the other two friend was going to go for a walk. Then she continued to say that she couldnt take us because of the noise level policy in a rude manner even if we only had four. The tasting room had three other people in there and there was still plenty of space available. If she was afraid that we be noisy she could have asked us to be quiet rather than turning us away because of their noise level policy. If we have been to many wineries in CA and WA and have never been turned away like that.

Wines are disappointing. If you like simple sweet oaky stuff - ignore this.

Au Bon Climat is the best tasting room in Santa Barbara. Not only is the wine some of the best Ive ever had, its laid back and the employees are incredibly kind and knowledgable. When you go, ask for Nikki or Emily in particular. Theyre enthusiastic, funny, and will explain the different wines in a way that never makes you feel silly but instead makes you feel like its actually something you can learn about. My husband and I signed up for memberships on day 1 and despite living in Los Angeles, we go up and visit as often as we can. Definitely recommend!

Some of the best wines youll get to enjoy in SB. Especially, the Pinots. I was excited to see they have an entire flight of dedicated to them. All were delicious yet had their own distinct flavor. The staff was also very helpful and the room itself is very inviting and relaxing. Just a great place to sit back and enjoy some great wine.

At the testing I signed up for membership. Bought a bottle of wine.. to find out different wine when I got home. Changed my mind and call to the store with cancellation of my membership..got conformation, BUT, it actually never went through.. after numerous messages exchange with their office... the shipment is on its way against my wish and credit card was charged. Bad business.

If you are a pinot fan, you must come here. Their single vineyard pinots are balanced with the right amount of acidity to fruit. Beyond this, you can purchase other wines that Jim Clendenen has made in the past and the best part is that you pay the same price as when they were released. How many places do that!
