The trails are great..they have public bathrooms..and an amazing playground and exercise area with pull up bars

Great park. Grandson loved the play ground. Lots to do. The play area has a rubber floor.

Had a Sunday picnic. Great well kept area just make sure to bring bug spray! Lots of areas to walk and play.

OVERVIEW: Nice medium sized park with a few miles of various gravel trails. Currently (Feb 2019) under construction at the park’s entrance, so we’re excited for what’s coming!PROS:-2 parking areas of either side (Wicker Street=50 spaces, Carbonton Road=10), handicap spaces at both-2 open field areas for picnics/kids/games, could be more after construction in done!-a body workout station in the middle with push-up/dips/pull-up/etc stations-lots of neat bridges throughout (see pic for the coolest one)CONS:-after rain it gets pretty flooded (see pics) with standing water on all of the low ground (60% of the park). Gravel trails are mainly unaffected though-benches and some manmade items are broken/worn and need repair-not the prettiest wildlife, but decent for being right out side the downtown, see pics for some of the prettier growth we sawWe live a mile away, so for what it’s worth we know we’ll be back! I’d love to come to an event when the construction is over, enjoy

The splash park was just in time for the end of the season last year oh, and what a great addition to the area it is. Unfortunately on account of people not having much sense at all oh, I doubt it will safely be able to reopen anytime soon.

Great place, but would be nice if was kept a bit cleaner.

Please just do yourself a favor and go for a walk here, its especially a nice place for younger kids, and also they keep everything up very well.

Fabulous upgrade with so many new and neat playground pieces. The splash pad looks awesome too, but we went past the closing date sadly. My daughter and nephew had a blast on the new equipment. Love it!

My grandkids had a wonderful time! Plenty of space for many children. Love having security at the entrance, with one way in and out. The hit was the bucket spraying! It was a really good day.

Im actually quite impressed! Splash Zone was more than I (or my daughter) anticipated it to be (yes Im a kid at heart). The playground is actually really nice, as well! Love that they put down the spongey matting down. 2 downsides would be the slippery concrete flooring in the restrooms. Honestly, that is a total hazard waiting to happen especially with excited wet children. Also, there seems to be no ventilation in the restrooms either. Those are honestly my only complaints, thus far. It did just open, although. Hopefully Sanford will maintain it!

Its absolutely amazing how much fun we have here.And you walk and dont realize you have walked 3 miles until you have done it.

We love Kiwanis Family Park, and we play there every week. The playground area is in good shape, albeit the swings definitely need to be updated. Also, the parking lot is small and street side, so watch your kids when they get out!

It was a beautiful day to walk the park., Some areas were flooded due to the weather we have been having, but I do think the city could do more for drainage in the areas with standing water.

The park has been fully renovated. City of Sanford put in a heck of an effort to make this park a great family destination.

I had my wedding here under the gazebo it was very nice loved how the gazebo was off by itself .

Its a great place to excerise. They are building a kids water area. Looks really nice. If youre going walking bring a flashlight, its no light poles.

Fabulous new park and splash pad. Clean facilities, lots of things to keep the kids busy and wear them out so you can binge watch Handmaids tale later.

Sanfords hidden gem. Decent walking trails, and a solid Greenway that goes out to the movie theater. The only downside is you have to cross 2 streets.

My nephew has his birthday here and even though he had a good time others tend to not respect the reserved post. It was the weekend and it wasnt a number to call. Other than that the park was well maintained

I enjoyed the cancer awareness event in all the speakers and all the vendors contributing to the experience of all the cancer survivors. There are so many people experiencing different types of cancer amongst their families and loved ones and Im grateful for all the vendors tributing now the local community coming together.

Very nice, shady, peaceful, trails are level and nicely surfaced. Multiple covered benches to relax.

Great playground and trails, though the sewer pipes along the trails stink. Otherwise, great place to walk, run, bike, and play.

Thereare 2 one has walking trails and a small play ground the other 1 has no trails but a bigger play section. Fun for the kids great 4 picnics or partiesor a family outing it exercising...because Ive alsohas a nice little section off the trails part for doing pull ups and the like.

Beautiful for a morning jog!!! Tho I wish there was security watching the park all the time as there are many suspicious people...DAY AND NIGHT! One night a friend of mines car broke down and she called me to come pick her up at the front and I see like 5 cars parked in the far corner being loud and I see a beer cooler on the floor while they smoke and yell being a public nuisance. I told her she could wait in the back BUT when I went to the back there were 2 cars and a guy screaming at his girlfriend maybe a domestic dispute and I told her we can get her car help in the morning because of how dangerous it was. Please do something about this. All kinds of people come here especially at night, keep our park safe!!!

Beautiful and amazing playground.

Be sure to bring your own chair if visiting the splash pad or a towel to use on the grass....also in the bathhouse there is no place to change a baby

This place has been under construction all summer

Love walking here on the trails for fresh air and relaxing scenery. Also hanger picnic tables under a shelter for get togethers and a small park with a slide and swings and jungle gym. Modest but fun for these kids. Also it has water fountains and restrooms. UPDATE depending on which kiwanis park you go to, the 1 beside the gas station or the 1 beside the apartments, the one beside apartments is now equipped with a splash pad and AWESOME NEW PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT, WELL A WHOLE NEW PLAY GROUND! WITH AMAZING FANTASTERIFICAL THINGS FOR KIDS AND ADULTS ALIKE TO PLAY ON STIFF IVE NEVER SEEN ANY WHERE ELSE BEFORE AND ITS SO COLORFUL, ITS WHERE ALL 4 OF MY KIDS WANNA HANG OUT AT BUT I GUESS EBERYINE ELSES KIDS DO TOO BC THERES ALWAYS A LINE TO PLAY ON ANYTHING THERE, ITS JUST TO POPULAR. BUT AMAZATASTIC

We held our annual Trinity in the Park service today (June 3, 2018) at the pavilion at Kiwanis Family Park. On behalf of Trinity Lutheran Church, thanks to Parks and Recreation for such a nice facility.

Best 24/7 hour park around the area. The place has two playgrounds, calisthenics workout area, trails, yes its equipped with servailence cameras and emergency buttons for help if needed.
