We had an awesome day! The gentlemen were there working today and shared information with us about the equipment and buildings! It was a beautiful, crips fall day. We enjoyed hiking and exploring the park. We hope to go back next year on the first weekend after Mother’s for their mill festival. Here’s some pictures we took today.
Was unique experience that my hubby especially enjoyed, seeing all the old equipment. The pond and trails were beautiful in fall. There was even a wedding about to start. Good times.
Nice place for fall photography... parking is on the other side of the road next to the covered bridge...
Great part of history looking at the covered bridge and wind mill
A very picturesque location for special events
This is a great location to walk and to take pictures, very great location for a western themed party as well, was very impressed
We found this park by accident. When I saw the covered bridge, I had to stop. Parts were closed because of the hour we were there. It would be worth the short drive for anyone living in Randolph, Moore, Chatham or any of the other surrounding counties.
Amazing private park with lots of old farming equipment that you can walk around. Worth the slight jog off 15-501 if you need a chance to stretch your legs.
Went when they had reenactors, was very fun and learned new things
We went down there to just look around we had a blast just walking around its truly amazing and beautiful ️ really enjoyed it
Wonderful setting for an event. Very peaceful, with shade. The old Mill is great to explore. Weddings are beautiful here. We have also gone to weekend concerts and pottery festivals here. Always a pleasure.
I loved exploring this place! I had it all to myself. Great place for photography buffs and history buffs alike.
Beautiful spot to walk and take pictures. I especially love it in the fall! I love the pottery shop when it is open as well. I wish there were more public events, like concerts and vendor fairs, etc that we could attend here. I would also love more information on the site and buildings, like plaques with years and other details.
If you want to see something from the past, go here its awesome
Wonderful place to walk around with the family.
Its a very educational place with a lot of history in the area.
A quiet place with many historic buildings. The grounds can be walked but the buildings were not open.
Ole Gilliam Mill was the perfect venue for our quaint wedding ceremony. Jimmy was hospitable, nice, and easy to coordinate with. The setting and photos were amazing, we couldnt have asked for anything more perfect.
Fun day.
Wonderful place to learn and take photos
Beautiful area that you can book for an event, I am renting it at 600 for 3 days. By far the best deal around, and the staff there are super polite and helpful.
Awesome step back in time!
Awesome old time feel
I love the Ole Gilliam Mill. Sure did miss it this year.
