Its a beautiful park and the trail is lovely. My only problem was a big one. My kids were playing and they came across a dirty syringe and it shouldnt be like that. I know the only person to blame is the person to left it but it definitely takes away safe zone. This park is close to the schools and fields. Honestly sad to see something disgusting almost hidden but open enough to see it.

I was born an razed in Sanford. Bowen park brings a lot of old good memories as a child. Playing there, sliding, having picnics.

Great place to have a picnic and watch the LARPers on a Sunday morning.

It was beautiful for the wedding we attended.

This park was well maintained when I visited there 3 years ago, plenty of shaded and sunny areas, the Gazibo has electricity, maybe they can add a few solar panels on its roof go a little green.

Beautiful spot,especially if your looking to get married or renew your vows.

Located on Main Street in Sanford. There have been many of Weddings here over the years. Places to have picnics, trails to walk. A hill for kids to play on and enjoy rolling down in the winter sledding on go and enjoy bring a lunch or book to read

I love Gowen Park. It was a great place to have the 1st annual Sanford Pride Day. My aunt for married there at the gazebo and it was beautiful. I love the little festivals and public events they have there sometimes.

Beautiful place to come to think, walk the dog, fish, or just sit and ponder.

This is the place We just look at the moment and I am getting very loved by the way my husband and I am getting a one in life time experience over and over again ETERNITY

We visited here for family pictures. I didnt get to explore the whole park, but the stone gazebo was a perfect picture spot!

Clean small spot to take a rest while walking or lunch break.

Nice place to relax, though the lawn mowing is way downhill from the past few years.

Got married at the gazebo here. They are currently working on fixing some of the stone on the property. Grass is always promptly mowed. Hill is great to bring the kiddos to in the winter to sled down. Two Pavilions for rent for picknicks, parties and birthdays.

One of the coziest places for an evening picnic with wine, candles and your own source of music. It was a most memorable date with kdrs :-)

Simple park - not much in the way of playground equipment, but there is a disc golf goal or two. Great place for sledding in the winter. There are tennis courts across the street.

Nice clean area and a beautiful gazebo. Used for concerts, family reunions etc. Great place for wedding pictures.

The baseball field was just okay. There isnt much in the way of spectator seating and the porta potty was in dire need of servicing.

No rubbish bins or flush toilets. The mosquitoes are like piranha.

Gowen Park is our familys go-to in the winter for sledding!

Great place to bring family or hold an outing. There is no playground but it has lots of open space for playing ball or frisbee. Also has a gazebo and picnic tables for gatherings, picnics and parties. There is plenty of off road parking and I have seen many weddings held here.In the winter it is a great hill to bring young children sledding.

A great little 9 hole course. Excellent for beginners other than the lack of course map. You can find a course map at the facebook page if its your first time.
