The playground offered everything me and my 2 kids could have needed. Shade to sit in when we needed to relax, plenty of play space and different things to occupy small ones and a clean area to enjoy. Trash cans were emptied and not gross from normal use. Overall an amazing place to spend a few hours enjoying.

I understand we are now in different times, however, I was saddened to see the entire play area closed off. There has got to be something that can be done to ensure that our community parks and recreations can remain active parts of our communities. While at the same time maintaining CDC recommended guidelines for safe social distancing. At any rate, we ALWAYS ALWAYS enjoy sitting by the water when we come home for visits

This is one of the best public children park around Sanford area. There is a very nice walk area next to lake. Splash pad ad is great fun during summer l.

We took a bike ride and wanted to end at the splash pad. The $2/person was a shock to us. Everything else was free but for my two year old to run in water for 10 minutes was going to cost us $6. We will still return to the trail and playground but we have a free wonderful splash pad near us in Deltona. Love Sanford not stoked about random pricing. Also, please put on website and post signs of pricing.

Great place! Has Museum and a. Park for kids and adults! Pavilions. And veterans memorial park. Love the sculpture of the Eagle.The views of Lake Monroe are gorgeous ! Downtown Sanford is the place to be . even during this Pandemic .

Always able to reflect on my days and woosaa. Everytime I think its going to get over crowded it does not. The area is a lil seedy but the park is Super Clean and nice parks and rec people working; I just love coming here.

Who doesnt love a great view of expansive water? Wonderful place to stroll along the lakefront of Lake Monroe. Trendy downtown Sanford hotspots within walking distance. Nice place to fish from or just take in a peaceful afternoon lunch or evening sunset walk.

Beautiful park with plenty of room to roam or sit and read or just simply relax. We found some friendly birds the day we were there by the pond and museum. We spotted a small gator in the lake just across the street. Beautiful large trees to lounge under and lots of tables with grills. Definitely enjoy this park. Theres playground equipment and a splash zone for the kiddos.

This is an amazing location to take your kids for an afternoon of fun. $1 entry fee for splash pad they take card. Playground is quite amazing.

I went there for a picnic lunch with my friend. Its nice to sit outside under one of the pavillions and look out on the lake. We went on a Monday. Hardly anyone was there.

Plenty of seating so you can social distance. Rest rooms are well kept, though I wish they had paper towels. Grills for cookouts. Lighting in the covered areas. Cant wait to try the water park!

This is the best park in Sanford. The Park feels like a beach. lake manroe is big and water front looks good. It has a lot of seating place to watch and relax the lake.

The place is very well designed, built, and maintained. We hope to return here next time we come through.

Nice area for the kids in this park. Theres a separate area for the small kids as well as a three story tall slide. One area is blocked off from use for the kids, but blocked well. Plenty of benches nearby for caregivers. Nearby bathrooms with a changing table in the wheelchair stall. Theres splash pad too that is open March through October for a nominal fee.

One of my favorite parks thats Ive been to in Central Florida!Its a nice, rubber play area with plenty to do!There is also a good sized splash pad. (It is concrete!)Plus, the view of the St. Johns River is very relaxing!I would have given this park 5 stars but there was some trash in the play area & the big slide was boarded up & could not be used.This park is also within walking distance of downtown Sandford! Making it a great play date + lunch place to visit!

Great place to bring the kids and grandchildren to play on the very modern playground. This park is so clean and well-kept. We love the free movies on the big screen once a month. They also have a nice Palladium where you can bring a picnic lunch or dinner basket for something fun to do with the family. I highly recommend this park and also love the water park feature as well!

My aunt, cousin and his kids came down from WV. We took them to this park for a picnic and playtime. The splash pad is awesome. The kids enjoyed playing in water. The cost is $2.00 a person. They have covered picnic areas. A great time was had by all.

Always one of my favorite parks while Im staying in Orlando. They keep up with the maintenance pretty well. Courts look like the were recently repainted. All the hoops have nets. Thats a plus. The lake view and breeze is another plus.

Beautiful playground and water park right across from the Saint John River. Theres public Exercise equipment available right outside of the park area and bench style swings to sit in and enjoy the view of the River alongside the Riverfront area. If you like to feed the ducks and other birds, then this is the place to visit. Theres also plenty of place and space to hold a cookout. I would However suggest that you bring your own tables and chairs. The tables available arent very clean, and neither are the bathrooms.

I go there to walk my dog or run or a simple pick nick.... Fun playground near downtown Sanford so u can walk around there too.... It is on the water Wich is awesome for some where to go on a hot day in Florida a Christmas parade takes place there and other cool events or parades or trick or treating.... Awesome place

Very nice park. Well laid out. Plenty of equipment for the children to play in. Some for bigger kids and some for smaller children. The equipment seemed to be well maintained. Beautiful view of the lake across the road. Very nice break from the parks in Orlando which are often in poor condition.

The most fun and impressive free park I have ever been to. Fun for all ages, shaded, water activities. Also very close proximity to take a walk down the side of the lake.

Great, clean park! They have multiple pavilions available for rental for parties and events, a splash pad (I think it’s $1 to get a wrist band for the whole day), and awesome, updated playground equipment! The lakefront views are gorgeous and there is always such a nice breeze. Can’t beat it.

Nice park with a nice view. Have been here for several birthday parties and my son plays basketball up here a lot too. Its clean and offers a variety of activities. The only negative I can think of is the parking. Its right on the main street with traffic that it would be very easy to have your car hit by a passing vehicle and it makes leaving the park difficult sometimes depending on the traffic.

Love this place, have splash pad for the kids. That cost $2 a person, but worth it on hot Florida days. There is a great play area for the kids to get dry on, and plenty of parking .

I was fortunate enough to visit the traveling Vietnam Veterans memorial wall on Sunday. It was only there for the Veterans Day weekend but what a humbling and emotional experience. This is a great park to visit even when there isnt a special occasion

My children asked if we could come here since I had never taken them before and I could not be happier with their choice! The playground is quite big with a lot of different obstacles for them to choose from. It seems as though they took all ages into consideration when designing this place, and that includes us parents. It was a hot day yet the metal all around wasnt hot enough to burn anyone, just warm to the touch. While the kids played on the enormous playground atop soft (looked like recycled rubber) floors, I walked around the perimeter (smooth concrete sidewalk) to get my own workout. There are many tables and benches all around the place and each of them have a pavilion or overhang to protect you from any harsh weather or extreme sunlight. A few more neat features include solar stations that provide you with electricity for any of your electronic charging needs, water fountains spread out throughout the perimeter, clean bathrooms that stay cool in the Florida heat, and all of this across the street from a beautiful lake.

Best kept playground in Sanford, hands down! Lots of stuff to play on, nice and clean, the kids love it. Its always several degrees hotter than all the other Parks, so avoid it on hot days unless youre also going to pay for the splash pad.

I had volunteered for the Vietnam Memorial Wall. On Sunday, there were literally hundreds of people there to view the Wall and enjoy the comradery. The City of Sanford and Seminole County put on the event and I heard folks say they were amazed at the turnout. Ft Mellon Park is a great place to come and spend the day, picnicking, bike riding and the children park.

Wonderful waterfront park for all age groups and abilities. Theres a huge fenced splashpad for the kids plus a nice playground. There are covered picnic tables and grills, restrooms, a ranger station, concrete and mulched walkways and benches.

One of my absolute favorite places in Sanford, the Riverwalk is a beautiful place to get outside with the whole family. From Veterans Memorial park and the Marina to Fort Mellon park splash pad and playground is a great place to walk, run, ride bikes, fish, or just sit and enjoy the lake views. My son has grown up going here, it is safe, scenic, and fun!
