Beautiful day, great music, lots of dogs for my dogs to play with.. Grass was kinda wet & muddy.. we just sat on one of many benches.. nice day !

Beautiful, amazing, colorful, dazzling,exciting and all sorts of other words could be used to describe this amazing place on our planet. There are beaches and hiking trails and some breath taking world famous views.The park has so many wonderful things to see and do. You should go and explore. Its a great place to spend a day with nature.

Washington Square has a vibrant feel. The awesome Cathedral, the park + its sloping streets. Brilliant greenery, open spaces + a variety of shops offering Gelato + decadent pastries.Check out the many cafes and restaurants serve Pasta, Pizza and Seafood....Among SFs best spots for a leisurely stroll and a chance to browse City Lights Bookstore on Columbus Ave. If youre feeling energetic try a brisk walk to see city views fr a heavenly perch at Coit Tower.

Id have given 4 stars if they had longer and wider track as well as wider turns. Many cars hit me several times during the race. Otherwise, very good staff members, they take care of everything nicely & explain everything about race in the beginning very thoroughly. Parking is also free around gate. It was a fun.

Ran the Pirates Cove 20k race today and Ill tell you that its one hell of a wild ride! Great trails and the views are spectacular and breathtaking! Be it trail running or hiking this is a must visit for any one from out of town or hometown folks!!

Beautiful park in north beach. You can buy a pizza or a sandwich in one of the restaurants or deli in the neighborhood and come here to enjoy the sun.

Ah, The Italian District. Make sure you get some pizza by the slice at Tonys (its after Tonys Restaurant and skip the line.

I usually like visiting this park when I am in the area from time to time. However today, it was warm and the park was fairly crowded today. Also, many of the local restaurants were having outdoor dining so things seem almost business as usual, at least in that small area. Most people were wearing masks, although the few that werent, I did my best to avoid them. Expect this area to be very crowded, especially with the rise in temperatures that is supposed to happen over the next few days.

Awesome views of the bay, Alcatraz, Fort Baker, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Im so happy we made the time to trek up here, I would have really missed out if I had skipped it! A must visit!

Lovely Park. Some people allow their dog too much freedom, but nice overall.

The square looks much better after they completed the construction. A friend and I were able to sit and enjoy nature/view.

Small park but the view is amazing from there, you could see a good part of the city. Its also in a center area surrendered by italian restaurants and bars. There is also a kids area.

It is one of the first parks in the city and has been used for community gatherings and events like festivals and free movie nights. The park is also surrounded by sidewalk cafes and restaurants such as Mama’s, Park Tavern restaurant, and the Liguria Bakery. St. Peter and St. Paul’s church is a notable landmark in Washington Square Park. Great place to visit!

Fiesta Italiana 2019Only one block long but what a great time. Good music, great food, and excellent wine. Met and got to chat with Tony G for a few. Great down to earth guy.The festival was a lot of fun for being so small. The Italian Festival in Portland Oregon is a full city block downtown in NW but this was just as fun.It was also very cool that they opened up the Italian Athletic Club and had some very cool exhibits inside.There were also some very cool Italian cars and motorcycles on exhibit as well.All in all, a great time in North Beach.

Wonderful neighborhood, excellent food, clubs, and sights to take in & enjoy. Highly would recommend visiting this place as it is a great place for all around entertainment & memorable experiences. Worth the time if you have it...

Washington Square park is a lovely place to visit while at North Beach. Theres benches around the perimeter. Theres a childrens playground on the north west corner and bathrooms next to it. In the middle theres a lovely field surrounded with trees and a view of the financial district.

Amazed, how every person kept their 6ft, social distance. Keep it up folks!

Beautiful but with lots of characters to go with the character. Witnessed an intense verbal fight between two homeless women that was colorful to say the least.

Washington Squares renovation was worth the wait! People watching, having a slice of pie from Tonys Pizza or spending time in quiet reflection at St. Peters and Pauls, North Beach has it all.

Perfect place to go buy Golden Boy Pizza and have a wonderful picnic. Ambiance is filled with variety of people in general.

Washington Square is a nice little park close to St. Peter and Paul Cathedral. I would not think of this as a must see when visiting San Francisco, but it is a nice place to read, rest or just sit down for a minute. There are many good restaurants close to the park. A visit to the cathedral is also worth considering.

Nice little park if you want a place to eat and relax for a tad. Some amazing restaurants nearby and Coit Tower. It’s not a tourist destination as much as it is just a convenient place you may use to have a quick picnic or do Tai Chi with the older Chinese folks in the park.

There is very little parking, and its quite a busy block. Not very quiet, and there are a few sketchy people there. Aside from that, the cathedral across the street sets a nice atmosphere and there is plenty of space.

Beautiful sunny day. Love that they have circles painted for distancing. all the restaurants around open and serving cocktails and food. Great picnic spot!

Nicely renovated park and gathering place in the heart of San Franciscos Italian neighborhood, North Beach.

I like how American people rest. They can just lay on the grass and relax. And its awesome.Washington Square is definitely a great place to relax after work or and get some sun during the lunch time.I like the atmosphere + pizza place is really close so you can grab some slices of pizza and have lunch on the grass.

I think of the Park and North Beach as old school San Francisco - the Park being the living room . And it being quirky in an SF way - its not a square nor does a street named Washington run near it and thats not Washington on the temperance fountain, its Benjamin Franklin. A time capsule is buried under its base. The rare fountain was one of many the Temperance movement had installed around the Country - and here in SF - to encourage fresh water drinking instead of saloons.

Nice park by the church with a playground and acceptable public loos. Almost feels like youre not in SF somehow. Nice place to have a coffee and chat or watch children and dogs play. Or check out the very life-like parrot in the playground. I thought it might really move and fly off!

The church where Clint Eastood shot a scene from Dirty Harry. So beautiful inside and out. A must see in person. Pictures cannot do it enough justice.

We came to Washington square to have brunch at Mamas. People lined up at its door before it began. The food is realy yummy and so is the service. I shall come again if I go to San francisco.

St. Peters and Paul Church is a Wonder to see, and people were all doing a great job of social distancing, and there is a cute and quality restaurant on every corner.

If u need cozy area..go there~~

The meeting place in north beach everyone you missed during quarantine is there hanging out enjoying the weather and the company of good friends.

Great place to soak in the sun and get covid 19 its not funny...and then...it is what it is....

This is one of my favorite parks in the city. Located in the vibrant North Beach neighborhood, its a great place to grab some eat and drink and enjoy it while sitting on the lawn in front of St. Peter and Paul.

Excellent city public space, located at the Cross roads of several neighborhoods creates a great mix of cultures. On a sunny day this is top shelf people watching, lovely spot for a takeout lunch from the dozens of great restaurants nearby.

A nice small little Park, with some really cool scenery in the area like the giant church and lots of people hanging around. nice place to grab a coffee from one of the local shops and just hang out for 20 minutes.

The pandemic means smaller crowds but the light and the puppies in the park were lovely early in the morning

One of Americas beautiful parks. Central to many San Francisco attractions, this park is a nice place to take in the city. Great restaurants are within walking distance and a beautiful church to visit while visiting the park. I highly recommend anyone visiting San Francisco to visit this park.

A gem of small park very popular with tourists and local alike bring children and pets. The beautiful church adjacent to the park was the site of Joe DiMaggios marriage to Marilyn Monroe in 1954.

Beware - the grass was super wet all over the park in the middle of the day - there must be something wrong with their sprinklers. Soaked thru two blankets. Not the cutest look to walk home.

Such a beautiful place to visit. Any church people would love to attend here I think.. it makes you feel like your in Europe or something. But I gotta say thats most of San Francisco to me. You can find beauty anywhere! Just dont forget to tell everyone I sent You!

Beautiful building took a really nice walk around the neighborhood. Would suggest visiting here at night as it is lit up a very good tourist spot lots of old buildings to see in the area and to appreciate the fine architecture. A great photo opportunity place for travelers
