I went to this place. I went there with my family to show my little ones a little of bit of what the nature that have that is the awesome animal the compose the beautiful of the name nature. But I got the surprise the zoo was charging high charge to in alright I paid because I want to see this creature, which was my surprise the zoo doesnt have a lot of the animal they supposed to have in there. I feel in my opinion the zoo shouldnt charge the high price if they dont all the animal in there for the kids can see the animal, because we went there more for our kids for they learn more about animal and they can see in real life.

Sf zoo is a place worth to spend a day every once awhile work a family especially you have kids. At this time during pandemic, admission is limited so that the park has less people. Because of less people in the park, I feel very relax walking around slowly in a warm sunny day. I have been there many times before but this is the one I enjoy the most.

Awesome place to bring kids. All animals are well visible, fed, happy and joyful. Great variety of wildlife to look at. Staff is doing a great job with COVID related restrictions - reservations, masks, limited crowds, distancing. Everything is marked and clear.Parking is easy, especially if pre-purchase online. As a perk, they have free EV charging for Tesla and other EV.Bathrooms are super clean. Staff is very nice.Hope to come back soon again.

Wow... what a hidden gem. I think I would go here rather than the SF Zoo any day of the week! You get right up close with the animals, they have an incredible assortment of really cool animals, and its no more than a 300 foot walk around the entire property. Awesome! My kids loved it, and it wasnt a huge excursion where theyre ready to melt down by the end! Prices are great as well.

The Zoo of San Francisco reopened to the public on July. We made an online reservation in advance, one week ago. Only a limited number of reservations are available per day. At this time we hadnt the bad air quality through the wildfires in mind. Yesterday, we discussed our visit at the zoo and made a decision for a visit the next day, despite the not very healthy air quality. Only a couple of hours outside of our home would be good for our mental health. Outdoor animal areas are open. The air was smoky but we had a lot of fun in the zoo. The zoo is big with many wild areas for the animals. We had a nice time walking, watching and exploring. The Zoo has a physical distancing concept, at some some areas signs guiding visitors to proceed one way.

Went to the zoo during Covid-19 in September and it was really nice. The zoo limits the number of people who can come to the zoo through their reservation system online and the entrance fee is not expensive at all. There is only one cafe and a stand that sells food so either pack a lunch for your family or eat before going to the zoo. Any part of the zoo that is enclosed is closed. The animals seem to love it since its very quiet. We enjoyed it and spent about 2 1/2 hrs there. Plenty of areas with sanitizer stations.

The San Francisco zoo is a real conservation zoo. Walking around it is apparent that they select animals to live in the zoo and design their exhibits based on whether it would give them a better life or the world a better chance, not the excitement of their visitors. However this creates a truly enriching experience for any visitor young or old where you get to learn about these incredible creatures from people who love and respect them

SF Zoo and Botanical Garden makes a fantastic outing. They strive to educate and help people make a connection between themselves, the animals, and our shared environment. The thoughtfully planned gardens and landscaping are pleasurable. Locals with kids, I highly recommend a membership! It will pay off in a couple of visits. The grounds are large enough to make it difficult to see everything each time. Also, the Little Puffer is a real steam engine train over 100 years old!!

I really liked this zoo! Lots of great animals to see. The peacocks were so neat, calling to one another around the zoo! You need two hours or more to really enjoy it. I had soup at the Leaping Lemur cafe. It was rather tasty and rather expensive. Next time, Id bring my own drink, snacks, & pack a lunch. I wonder about the size of the enclosures, esp. for the larger animals: hippo, rhino, big cats, giraffe, zebras. I know theyre in captivity, but do they have enough space to roam, explore, stretch? Perhaps theyre more active earlier in the morning after the zookeepers have introduced new things in their pens? Glad this visit was on my to do list on my trip to SF, and just a hop-step from the beach!

Its been years since I came here last so I can see quite a bit of reorganization. The trails have had additional signage & plantings around enclousures have been added. The pens themselves have had enhancements in d form of structures & materials added. Programs centered on different themes, like holidays are evident. However, they havent been able to get around to structures that were built after the depression. I dont fault the keepers or the people in charge, it must be a Herculean task to get the funds to replace these.Still it was a nice evening & it was enjoyable to get out & walk around here. In light of these Covid times it was a good place for a social distanced outing.

By far the best zoo I have been to so far. The park is big so it takes a while to walk around. The animals were all really active for the most part. There was alot of shade there so it didnt feel hot outside. I went on Friday so it wasnt very busy. The parking lot was pretty big. If you get there when they open, theres a bunch of parking spots open. They have a big inside cafe with alot of seating and some seating outside the Cafe. Theres even another snack station near the bears. The employees were very friendly. They have a insect building which was really awesome to look at. There was also a tropical building which had birds, frogs, snakes and more. The animals have such a huge space which is really nice that they arent stuck in a small area.
