Super cloudy this day. Great place to relax. Stores were open and some restaurants. Pool is awesome and is open with restrictions in place for Covid. The pool has daily and monthly passes.

Came on a weekday at noon. Was very clean and not too crowded. The waves were fun to jump in but not the best if you wanted to body board. There was only one wash area and I mean the bathrooms are just beach bathrooms.. terrible.After having fun at the beach and washing up we walked a bit on the beach walk. Found a hotdog vender Alpha Dogz and got the Flamin Dog. Not bad!

Had a great time! A little packed than I liked to see, but we kept our distance and had a great time! Weather was perfect!

Good place to check out the view of the water and also be outdoors. The spicy edamame was decent and had like a cajun flavour to it. The passion fruit drink was also good, but better when added a bit more soda water to it. Overall, a cool vibe and place to grab a drink and enjoy the peaceful views

First time at Mission Beach and we had a Blast! The beach is so beautiful the park was a lot of fun. Rides, shops and food, rentals for everything from bikes to surf boards. Good food and free parking, mini golf, bumper cars, roller coasters & more. Definitely my new fav spot to hit in San Diego!!

Our family loves to go to Mission Beach. Sometimes there seems to be more kelp and seaweed than we prefer, but all in all, its our go to beach.

Great place to get away from the city. Calm steady waters. Perfect for a nice stroll, bike ride or even go out sail with several rentals to choose from. Great bars and restos around open late.

Will always come back here, low crowds, some crack heads begging in the parking lot but just throw them a water and a bag of cookies and they will move on. Water felt good and the view is always so beautiful. Trash was non existent on the beach, at least where I was.

Despite the fog it was a beautiful day at Mission Beach. Especially after the fog rolled out. We saw to Dolphins swimming in the bay.

Hey, if you want a beach thats family and leisure related, this one works. Had fun. A tad busy depending on the time you go. Late afternoon is busy. Timing is everything. Beautiful sunset.

Ive lived in SD for 38 years and used the park and the board walk since I was 15 years old. My enjoyment has been greatly reduced by the city and the mayor allowing street venders to line every open space available to sent up stands of cheap trinkets. Thus blocking site lines to the ocean, narrowing all walk ways to the rest rooms, and creating a dangerous hazard for people using the boardwalk.

The owner is always very friendly and hospitable to all. fair prices (and believe me, i have been around the block once or twice), good service, and stellar product. if you need something and he doesn’t have it on hand, he will make an order and let you know when it will be in stock.

Perfect day at the beach a few days ago. Though everyone was not wearing a mask, everyones parties/groups in my visible view were maintaining social distance. Lovely beach (our first visit) but parking was a little difficult to find. It took us about 15 minutes to get one but did! I love SD!!

Nice large beach to spread out on and enjoy but it can get very touristy and gets very crowded. Hard to relax when surrounded by Zonies!Overall, a great beach to explore and hang but not the best for a relaxing day soaking up the sun. You can also explore Belmont Pier and the surrounding stores and restaurants nearby.

Nice place to visit at night where you can have a beer and chill with your friends. There are many beach rentals if you plan to stay longer.

This used to be a very nice place to walk on the beach in the evening and enjoy the sights however, my most recent visit there, was absolutely the opposite.The overpowering smell of marijuana was everywhere in the parking lot, on the boardwalk and where the picnic tables are.With the covid-19 pandemic & the face covering requireds to be worn in San Diego, I personally observed a number of people NOT wearing face coverings & not maintaining 6 feet apart at all timesAlso, I observed absolutely NO type of law enforcement present throughout the parking lot twice observing, did not notice any presence of law enforcement***

LOVE MISSION BEACH!! Its a busy place but such an easy fun sandy beach to go. We had to round the parking lot a few minutes to catch someone leaving to park on a Tuesday afternoon (3ish) but I figure without nothing much else going on right now, thats to be expected.

Food,people,vibe,drinks was just *chefs kiss* I loved it here definitely going back! the waves were so fun.

I grew up going to Mission Beach! Best place for skateboarding, seshing, swimming, and overall positive atmosphere! Highly recommend this local FAVORITE

When in San Diego, go to the Beach. Mission Beach. We had a great afternoon there with the grand kids. The weather was a bit overcast, it was warm at times and chilly. But being from Arizona, who is going to complain about a chill. Lots of people to people watch, every type imaginable and making their own day of it. The sand was clean and the facilities were decent. Parking,,, well its a beach in San Diego, not easy, but not impossible... enjoy it,

Mission Beach is always a great place to visit and take a stroll or sit on Beach and jam out to the waves.

Good place to walk around but nothing to special. Places seemed slightly rundown. To bad the people and city don’t take much care of it.

Always a great time at this beach. The only problem and has been for a while now is the parking. Get here early if you want a spot, if not expect to look for up to an hour.

Its a huge Park so lots of people can have picnics the beach is right there Belmont Park with all the amusement rides and shops and food places are all right theyre perfect location

I love this beach. There is a long concrete path so you can just walk forever. The life guards always seem to live thier jobs (who wouldnt like working on the beach) they are very well educated when it comes to the random few jelly fish or sting ray stings. I have been going to this beach/bay area my whole life and only gotten 1 sting ray poke.Also very well kept up bathrooms and showers. Great place to swim and tan .

Clean beach, warm sand with parking located close by. Fire pits @ beach but must arrive early as they are popular, go fast.

A popular local and tourist attraction for obvious reasons. Nice beaches, boardwalk, recreational areas, Sea World, and Belmont Park among others. Plenty to eat and drink. Plenty of parking except on holidays. Tip. Bring your own toilet paper cause the public restrooms usually dont have any.

Beautiful beach on a sunny day. Kid friendly with plenty to do. You can eat drink and be happy around here. You can rent electric scooters or bikes to see the whole beach. Great vibe with everyone I interacted with. Sun bathing was going on with high 60s temp. Water was a little bit chilly but its still March. I recommend visiting fun a fun day with friends or family.

We were surprised at how many people were there and not very many people had masks on but they were doing a pretty good job of social distancing

One of our favorite places to see the ocean. The wide boardwalk is great for strolling. Belmont Park is at the center of all the action with plenty of shops and restaurants. A family friendly place to enjoy the ocean and relax. Get there early or you will be circling for a parking place at this popular destination.

I love mission beach...even when there are tons of people...its clean. There are plenty of lifeguards and other things to do there. Plenty of houses to rent on the beach also. Its a great place to take the family to relax.

Was alright. Would have been better if police wasnt patrolling it making sure no problem be was sitting or just standing still. Lifeguards constantly playing a health and safety recording over the beach. Im sure it would have been nicer without all the drama. Cant even sit and watch the ocean...

We had a blast on the beach. There are so many things to enjoy. The views, the people, and the activities. It was a perfect stop on our vacation.

Mission Beach isna safe fun beach area for all groups of people. Brings your kids, go on a date, or just run solo for the day. Well maintained beach area, mobile ice cream vendors, and plenty of shopping as well.

Freaking badass beach and beautiful and gorgeous views and awesome vacation rentals. Super cool souvenir stands and great stuff to buy along the shore. Awesome little amusement park.

Very sketchy parking lot & very large crowds... decided to leave since my vehicle was clearly an out of town vehicle (& didnt want my vehicle broken into)... witnessed guy taking Bird scooter (it was screaming) & stuffed it into his trunk & drove away while his girlfriend started conversation to distract from it lol

The beach is very nice. I have to admit, I didnt go into the water, but I just explored the surrounding areas. There are small shops every where. You can grab some trinkets or some food from so many different places. Best thing to do is grab a scooter and enjoy driving it down the board walk.

Peaceful family friendly good days at the beach

We took our two toddlers here on our trip. Easily spent 4 hrs there. We loved the vibe of this place. We got some elote en vaso from the elote man walking across yue beach and it was sooo bomb! Wish we had taken more cash to buy another! Oh and sunscreen! So much to enjoy.

One of my favorite beaches! This beach has a full boardwalk with food, drinks, treats, and souvenirs. Tons of things to do including the amusement park Belmont Park. There are rentable scooters and bikes all up and down the boardwalk. You do have to be a little careful as it can get congested on the beach and walkways. Between the joggers, skateboarders, bikers, and scooter riders, there are plenty of near misses. So if you want to watch some crashing or nearly crashing this could be a good spot.

Theres a lot of people here especially summer times. So I advise you to go here early so that you can park right away and find the best spot. There is also a pigeon inside the comfort room.

One of the best beach in San Diego. Pristine while sands, great waves, parks for picnic (grass area). Plenty of restrooms. Restaurants,ice cream and stores along the walkway. There are lifeguards and police patrolling the beach with atv. Lots of Scooter rental (lime and bird). The best part, parking are FREE (if you can find it). That itself worth at least $10-$20. But if you don’t find one and want convenient, there is valley service for $20

Clean nice beach! Lots of parking. Bummed about no dogs from 9-4 during winter months but seems to be common around California. Not packed and touristy like some places along the coast. Closes to shops and restaurants.

Mission beach is one of my favorite beaches in San Diego. So many fun things to do. I highly recommend going to Cannonball at sunset and going to Draft after for a beer. Wonderful place to go for a bike ride.

I love mission beach! Such a fun area to walk around at. Brought my girlfriend here when she was visiting San Diego and she loved it. Belmont park and the board walk with so much to see. You can walk from here to pacific beach in about 10-15 mins and they’re both so full of activities. Definitely a go to spot for anyone visiting and wants to see the beach but doesn’t want to just sit at the beach

One of the best beaches for calm, gentle waves, with a big area for sun tanners. Plus it is right next to Belmont park... There are two great restaurants overlooking the beach, and lots of awesome beach activity to view. South Mission beach closer to tower 10 is quieter, but has a much smaller parking lot.

Grew up coming to Belmont Park! Mission Beach is nice & clean! Great atomsphere, and lots to do. Its been pretty cool to come back to a place that is taken csre of & hasnt changed much like everywhere else in San Diego. The boardwalk is definitely one of my favorite parts! Close to PB & OB which is pretty cool!

By far one of my favorite beaches! So much to do here. There are plenty of restaurants and ice cream stores just a few feet away from the boardwalk; theres a rental place for rollerblades, bikes, skates, etc. Near the boardwalk, there are vacation rentals and a few feet away theres Belmont Park!. I enjoy coming here to rollerblade, enjoy the scenery and the sunset, and of course my trip wouldnt be complete without some ice cream!

Loved it, love it and will go back anytime. Had a lot to eat and buy back to Colorado. Clean beach with lots of fun.

My favorite beach here in San Diego. Always cleaned up in the morning, San Diegans are trying to clean up the trash of others, its just great...the beach is usually busy in summer but youll still find a good spot. Rentals all along the boardwalk for bikes and surfboards and whatever you need. The boardwalk is great for a run or for skating - dont forget to stop by for amazing sunsets!
