Came out here for a corporate event and had a great time. Wasnt too crowded at the time but they were able to get us in 3 races within the time we allotted and our group really enjoyed ourselves. One recommendation would be to have a map of the track more visible so we can study it a bit beforehand. 5/5 would recommend

Very nice coaster!Awesome even to present day roller coaster standards. Nice dives, high speed (55 mph) and a long ride (2 minutes). The ratteling wood really adds to the sensation. The bounces when cornering are thrilling as well. We went in the morning when the row was still short.

Its rough but worth the coaster credit as this is a classic! Love the layout but this thing is ROUGH! You may need a pain reliever after riding but definitely worth the ride at-least once.https://youtube.com/watch?v=sCfcouResCc

If you come to San Diego you MUST go to Belmont park for the beach and boardwalk experience. And if you like roller coasters the Giant Dipper is fun for all ages. Not too crazy. Belmont Park in general is a fun place for families to go for a day out.

Ok ride, it is fun for younger people but it is a little rough, it has one great airtime pop at the end, definitely not the best coaster but I like the history behind it.

The roller coaster is soooo fun! It is one of my favorite roller coasters. It’s an older wooden one that doesn’t look very daunting at first. It is a little jarring and legit scary! I don’t recommend riding it if you have any injuries or don’t enjoy being tossed around. If you are really tall, (my brother is 6’4”) sometimes your knees will hit the front of the cart, but it’s still one of my brothers favorite activities when he’s had a bad day - and mine too.

This is one of the last old school wooden rails still operating. It’s a short ride, it’s Bucky, it’s not crazy wild, but it’s old and wiry and fun. Two thumbs up for the fun!

This was actually more fun than I was expecting. The boys enjoyed the old wooden coaster and then hit the rock wall before walking over to the beach. It was a fun afternoon.

Belmont Park’s Giant Dipper Roller Coaster is a wild fun ride. It was restored and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1978. Its fast, twisted, and full of surprises. Don’t miss out on this adrenaline rush!

Overall a fun and quick adrenaline rush delivering coaster. Knocking off one star because it’s a bit rickety but what do you expect from a wooden coaster. Watch your neck, keep it loose not stiff (same advice as a car accident). Nevertheless a good time.

The giant dipper is surprisingly fun for tame it seems when youre standing next to it. The kids love it, and we do too. Its also just a neat piece of history. Inside the ticket office they have one of the original cars on display. It has no seatbelts or restraints whatsoever! I asked if they were removed for the display and was told that is how the car originally was. Amazing.

The kids love this more than Sea World. We always buy our passes at Costco to get the discount. The Costco pass gets unlimited rides plus all the extras. Remember to wear close toe shoes.

So much fun. A San Diego must go and do. This wooden coaster has a twin in santa Cruz. Great views from the top, right before you drop. Its a small coaster but it still scares little kids. Your butt will lift off the seat dont worry you wont fall out. Great fun experience, historical too.

Clickety clack, itll take you back. This wooden behemoth boasts great scenery and is historically endearing, if youre into that. My 8 yr old son, the 10 yr old cousin and this middle aged man all had a blast. Lines were short and we got 2 runs in quickly. The attendant was very nice. This park and this attraction made our staycation more fun.

The Giant Dipper, built in 1925, is an old school wooden coaster. Safety was not a big concern then like it is today. Im saying that it isnt safe. It is. Im saying it is a fast, rough, slightly scary ride. It doesnt go upside down or anything. But you will experience high Gs, weightlessness and sharp turns. There are two signs warning you to keep your arms inside. You can keep your hands in the air untill the second sign, then you are best to lower them, it gets really tight. If you are a coaster fan, this is one you dont want to miss!

I had a blast at this place and Im 27. The rollercoaster is really cool and cost $6 a person. I reccomend going at night because it is more thrilling. There are rides for little kids, a bunch of little shops and little places to get snacks and ice cream, ziplining, laser tag, and a pretty nice arcade. Its a perfect spot for a date in my opinion. A+
