Beautiful place. Two flat penny machines, passport cancel, and lighthouse stamps available. However, due to COVID-19, park rangers will give you a stamped piece of paper instead of stamping your book/postcards. I dont know how they will catch a virus for stamping a book page/postcard. Doesnt make sense to me. Collecting cancel/stamp is fun for people, it motivates them to go places, parks specially, because theyre looking forward to getting the stamp (Not to tape a piece of paper with stamp) on their book/postcards. If theyre so scared of interacting with people, why dont they just leave the stamp on the table for people to use? Just watch them and make sure they dont do stupid stuff.

The Cabrillo monument visitor center is a wonderful place to get good views of the San Diego and Coronado areas. The view of ships going across the Pacific is just priceless. The auditorium also shows 2-3 movies over the day, which are informational. There is plenty of parking available here. The light house close by is also completely worth visiting. They have a museum showing the history of the place. Good place to spend the afternoon. This is a National park, so if you have an annual pass for national parks,, it will work here.

Staff was very friendly and explained all that we could see and do there. Such a great vantage point to look back at San Diego from across the harbor. We will definitely come back and watch for whales when they are migrating. The lighthouse had nice displays of the time when it was in operation. The lighthouse itself is not very big and you cant walk around the very top except for three times out of the year.

Great view of the San Diego bay and also almost the entire San Diego City. You can see all the way to the Mexico border in the distance. Perfect place to shoot a panoramic photo of the entire San Diego bay area. We visited in December, so it was windy and chilly but we could still get a good view of the whole bay. There is a USD 20 entry fee per vehicle to get to the place.

They have several buildings (visitor center, old Point Loma lighthouse) to view - some of them are still closed as of October 2020 due to COVID-19 but most of the park area is outside. You can also take a 2 mile round trip hike from the main building down to the water.

A good place to start your visit by speaking with the friendly park staff, but be sure to stop by on your way out as well to pick up a souvenir (with proceeds that support the park). There are great views of San Diego, Coronado, and North Island from the visitor center. But head to the tide pools instead if you want to feel a sense of isolation. And while it isn’t part of the park, take a detour through the national cemetery on your drive back.

My husband and I ride our bikes up there fairly regularly. The view from the top of the peninsula is unbeatable, especially at sunset. My favorite attraction is the old lighthouse, which has been beautifully restored. The park was extremely busy today with vehicle and pedestrian traffic, due I suspect to it being the Christmas holiday season. As we were leaving at 4:45, cars were still backed up coming into the entrance. Info tips for first time visitors: a) theres an entry fee (even for bicyclists) because its a national park (annual passes are available); b) the park closes at 5pm daily year round, so plan your trip there accordingly.

If you have a NP pass in advance youll beat the line and make it in the park through the express line much quicker at the entry. If you visit the Cabrillo tide pools at high tide youll see some impressive wave crashing up close and personal! If you go at low tide there is more opportunity for exploring the tide pools.
