Beautiful and inspiring quilts, great gift shop and friendly/helpful staff. Whats not to love? The day I went there was a wonderful exhibit of quilts made by elementary school students. Very cool!

Twelve members’ challenge quilts decorate the design wall by my sewing machine. If I don’t make one, I buy one to support VAM.

Free Quilt and Textile museum in Liberty Station. Showing amazing art by Ruth B. McDonald, and others. Different shows throughout the year. This one goes till April 5th, 2020. I highly recommend!

Super fun museum with great fiber art and terrific knowledgeable staff! Best gift shop in San Diego with lots of great locally made artsy gifts! Free admission !

This place is amazing to see art in the form of story telling. I think everyone should do something like this to tell a snippet of your past displaying facts and feeling. Genius!

Loved the current exhibits and the gallery overall. I have admired Jane Sassman since her book came out and getting to see her works in person was even more inspiring. I loved Betty Busby as well, having just worked several online jigsaw puzzles of her works, it was so delightful to see them in person. I picked up some of Judy Robertsons hand dyed fabrics in the shop to top off the visit.

Do not miss visiting this gem of a museum in the heart of the Arts District at Liberty Station. All of the contemporary quilts are a feast for the eyes.
