Great place to hike. The trails are not steep, and there are some of them in shaded areas. Parking is limited on the weekend. There is a subdivision next door. It is essential to be careful and not infringe on the driveway approach
Awesome wild trail that somebody decided to build houses around. Plenty of deer and fun terrain/elevation changes for beginners and casual hikers. Great shade over the main trails to keep you from getting your energy zapped by the sun. Came across a few people and their dogs (leash only) throughout the hike, but everyone was super friendly, courteous and kept a responsible distance when passing. Just the one trash can and port-a-potty at the very front of the trail, but no where else (plan to pick up your trash accordingly). Some red, wooded benches throughout the main trails. Trail not well marked, but that wasnt an issue since this trek was more of a loop-type trail vs a down-and-back. Parking lot needs a bit of an expansion though.
Went on a walk with my friend and our dogs. I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and loved the trail! It was just enough of an up and down hill go keep me active, but not too much to be a deterrent. Its a very nice, short, nature walk/easy hike. Not stroller or wheelchair friendly. Has a few benches on the trail. No water fountain. Has a port-a-potty at trailhead.
Nice trail to go out for a walk. You must be wearing good sneakers, there is a lot of gravel on the road.
There is a lot of construction going on in the small parking lot. I recommend you wait to go there.
A great place to walk I enjoyed it me and my so call
A nice bare bones park for a quick hike or trail run. The park itself is small but the trails connect at multiple spots to vary your route. Only one portable restroom that is kept clean often. No water or other amenities so be prepared. Elevation on trails can get steep and rocky, proper footwear is a must. There is a little caged of cave for a quick picture opportunity or landmark to rest at. Theres also benches along the trails for a shaded rest.
Great place to take your dog for a walk and hike. Very pleasant.
Beware there are no signs. I got lost following a greenway towards the back of the park.
Nice little wilderness park. Feels like it is still undergoing different ideas as to what it wants to look like. That idea might be enhanced by the construction of homes at its entrance and farther across the fence (commercial building perhaps?) be careful with older dogs or people who have difficulty with rocky terrain, some of the path ways can be a little challenging for them.
Good park for walking and a short bike ride.
Enjoyed hiking the area. Lots to see when its not flooding!!
One of the few places in San Antonio to hike away from concrete and asphalt. Just grass and dirt trails. It is a lot bigger than you expect. You can hike around back there for several hours. Lots of shade once you get into the park.
Just a park with trails. but go early in the morning and you may see a deer!
This park is nice on a natural level.. There isnt much in terms of standard park amenities. parking has 10 Spaces, and 1 Portable restroom at the entrance. The trails themselves are absolutely lovely with many serene and tranquil areas, but the terrain is tougher than other parks in the area. There is much in the way of roots, larger rocks and steep, bumpy areas. its best not to run here unless youre paying close attention to where youre stepping in my opinion. Theres no trail markers either, so it is very easy to get lost. lastly, If you do get lost and it gets dark, youre in for a really bad time. Make sure you bring your phone and flashlight, you ought to be fine.
Nice serene place to enjoy the outdoors. The park appeared clean. They have out houses at the park head. Dogs on leashes are allowed, but please pick up after your pet no one wants to walk or ride their bike through their poo.
Really good small trail system. ~4 miles of rocky singletrack w/ jeep roads, several very technical sections. Trailhead parking lot very small. Also can connect to McAllister Park w/ short sidewalk route then navigate south a couple miles down to Thousand Oaks Rd. by ditch underpass.
Out weekly visit!
Saw deer, nothing else special. Dont ride a bike cuz on half of the length of the trails every square inch is rocks and pebbles.
I like to walk and see the deer and other wildlife what I dont like are the people who dont have there dogs on a leash and let them chase the deer the trails are awesome
Ideal for gravel bike riding and long walks
We enjoyed our walk.
Good hiking trails with nice views of cliffs
I loved this little walking trail, you really cant see it from the main road but worth the time to stop and take a little walk through nature. I want to come back with some friends next time. This place is a diamond in the rough.
I loved how beautiful the foliage was and I saw so many deer! However, I only intended to run the trail depicted online. I expected it to be rough and unmarked, but I ended up so far off trail that I ended up at 1604 and the gate to what appeared to be private property. Id like to give this park another try and hopefully find the actual trail next time. :)
No map that I could see. Bathroom there but didnt use. Not much shade too hotnicer in eve I would think. Saw deer and big ol snake.
Great place for a quick and quiet hike on a lunch break.
Nice walkin trails..
Live here for 29 years love this place great park and love the neighborhoods
The park is good but the company better.
No water but there is a toilet at the start remember to use it because its just trail and bush up the hill which leads you to the base of a earthen damm.I believe its 15 miles of trails.Watch your footing on the trek up to park.Parking lot has max space of ten with no give.If your party is larger park at the Baptist church down the street and carpool. There is two Pokemon Go Pokey stops in parking lot and one in the far back of the park.
In the middle of town here is a little bit of wild. Trails that go over rocks and threw some nice Woods. My dog and I regularly do three to five miles at Mud Creek Park
Great place for a short hike or quick mountain bike pass. Well maintained with new updated paved parking lot. Always seems to have vehicles in parking lot.
Quiet park with a hidden cave. Deer are bountiful. Keep going past the dam to discover more of the park, including a pretty wooded area.
Nice, quiet hiking area. Cant wait to go back with my my fun scouts. Four bucks and two does.
Nice place for walking your dog and enjoying the outdoors.
Awesome place to walk your dog
Great place to hike for any level of hiker. Lots of wildflowers and deer.
Not a trail for off road vehicles, hiking only
Trails are not marked, so its easy to get lost, but its a beautiful park. Never seems to be crowded.
This little trail park is excellent for a long distance walk or rough jog. Id recommend the evening when it gets cooler.
A nice little park for walking, 2 to 4 mile loops, best kept secret
Not much to see here, its too damn hot anyway.
Great park to hike and walk the dogs. Very quiet. Not many parking spots available.
Super cool biking routes for off-road fun.
Great place to run the dogs. Being your mosquito spray.
A good hike, starts with an uphill push, Good terrain, not for beginning hikers. Bring water!
Nice little hike, many deer :)In spring there are many wildflowers. Though, at night it feels very eerie. The parking lot is very unsafe! My dads truck has been broken into twice!
Great park, unsafe parkinglot. Someone broke into my car and the two other cars next to me today. The park itself is wonderful, Just be careful what you leave in the car.
At the end off the trail there is some sweet graffiti
I went to Mud Creek Park for the first time yesterday evening to hike the 1.4-mile loop trail depicted on the online trail map. While I admired the lush foliage and was pleased to see a few deer, those positives were outweighed by the disturbing experience of wandering far off-track due to the complete lack of trail markers or signage enabling hikers to remain on the actual loop trail. Although I used the benches (depicted on the map) as markers, once I got to the area by the dam, where there is a sign saying no weapons are allowed and a grate over what appears to be a little garden, the trail seemed to get more rugged (i.e., two indentations running on either side of a completely untamed grassy median), which leads me to think it wasnt the actual trail anymore but just the remains of some off-roading by cyclists. Still, I didnt see any other trail, so I kept going down that path. However, when I found myself almost at Loop 1604, I knew for sure that I wasnt on the trail and turned around. On the way back, I tried going down another cyclist-type trail branching off of the faux trail I was on, and it ultimately led to complete untamed wilderness. When I got back to the dam area and the bench, I tried walking up what appeared to be another, inclined trail by the bench, but ultimately ended up at a field with some utility lines after getting stuck in (and scraped up by) brushy wilderness. I finally made my way back to that area by the weapons sign and just walked and ran back down the trail Id started on to the parking lot. Thankfully, it was still light (I got to my car around 8:10; Id arrived at 6:30 planning to hike for no more than 45 minutes or so, given the length of the mapped trail), as I can only imagine how much more disturbing that experience would have been in the dark. I strongly urge the SA Parks Department to place signs (and, perhaps, do a bit more trail maintenance) to enable visitors to follow the route depicted on the online map.Another flaw that seriously detracts from the natural experience at Mud Creek Park is the excessive graffiti, particularly on this abandoned stadium area (which might not be part of the park itself) that the actual trail takes you by and also on the few signs in the park and parking lot and, perhaps, on some rocks or fences throughout the park. I havent seen so much (if any) graffiti at any other park in San Antonio, so Im sure theres something that can be done about it at Mud Creek.I shared these concerns with the Parks Department, so hopefully they will be addressed at some point in the near future.
Great for biking. The park itself is quite natural and wild which I like.
Small park, but good out and back trail.
Great for hike enthusiasts that dont want to travel too far
My favorite little hiking spot. Wears me and my dog out pretty easily.
Peaceful place for a walk
Not a real park. Tiny parking area surrounded by fencing and gates to keep people out.Probably should be tagged as a conservation area or something else.
Mudd Creek was very nice
Great little spot for an easy hike
2 pokestops at entrance
Great hidden gem!
Natural part of hill country geology
My favorite to ride bikes
Cool hiking trails for the area.
Small park
This park does not exist anymore. It was replaced with a new house development.
Noice hiking trail

My favorite park. No paved trails.
