This was A very fantastic place had a great time in San Antonio with my family. We Enjoyed our Time !!!
It is so awesome there! Especially the haunted house! It scared me! But fun! So worth it. I plan to visit again!!
Went today, 11/27...super disappointed that President Trumps wax statue was removed.
Plenty of fun for the whole family. Get package deal for other attractions will be a lot cheaper. Lots of fun around that whole area. Have your camera ready.
A little bit pricey for what you get...BUT...it was super fun...We got the all access pass and it turned out to be a great bargain...
Cool figurines 4D movies were really cool.
I am really glad we bought the combo tickets, I would have been really annoyed had I paid full price to your. With that being said I do appreciate the skills it take to create the displays. Some are so life like we totally expected them to blink or talk.
Great celebrities like a statue. Full of superheroes including the 3-D movie theater when the seats starts moving in.
Extremely disappointed it was a short pass through and most of the wax figures didnt look like the celebrities they looked more like a group of kids created and dressed them. Dont waste your time or money when there is so much to do downtown SA.....
It was probably the worst craftsmanship Ive seen out of any wax museum Ive been too. The likeliness to the real people was not even close. I would not visit again or recommend. Stick with Madam Tussauds to get your money worth.
Very fun for the kids to learn about,,dont rush through,,,take your time,,,have fun,,once you get to the end go backwards,,,have fun,,,Dont forget the horror section,,go more than once very fun,(Scary)
Neat display of wax characters! Be cautious when taking little ones into the horror section though. It could be a little much for them.
It really is time for some updates and upgrades. Alot of things out dated. Its a disappointment. Born and raised here in SA and still have the same things since my elementary field trips and im 35 years old smh. San Antonio we need to do better
My family has visited this wax museum a few times and we always enjoy it. It is not huge but it is a fun way to spend a couple hours. I think it is good for familys with kids or just adults alone. There are plenty of photo opportunities to pose with the wax models. It is located right across the street from the Alamo. There is a place to get snacks and drinks that are fairly priced. The T-rex at the very beginning is one of my kids favorite spots to have their picture taken. There is a haunted house area you can walk down to that would be good for teenagers and adults. I did not go in because my little kids were afraid. My husband said it was cool but there are lots of flashing lights. You can bundle your tickets with the Ripleys Believe It or Not and 4D moving theater.
Wax detail was good. It wasnt scary. The ac was cold. Nice relief when it was 95 degrees outside. Take a break and get a refreshing beverage and look around
Im not too big of a movie buff but this was included as a 3 way combo. I figured it would be all movie based and although there were a few pop culture references, I got through this museum okay.Donald Trump, Lady Gaga, Will Smith, Barrack Obama and Jimmy Kimmel are a few you can expect to see.My kiddo tried to take advantage of photo ops where she could but some of the displays were not working, or badly damaged. My group laughed about the horror section leading to a Mexican revolutionary section then Jesus last meal. Some displays just seemed like fillers. The kids fairytales section seemed dated and out of place as well. But I guess thats how you.can say theres over 200 wax figures inside.I paid about $55 for my daughter and I as part of a 3 way combo between Ripleys BION, the 4D theater and the Wax Museum.Wouldnt do it again.
Definitely cool for kids, a bit chessy for adults. If you are in the military or a veteran, they offer a SERIOUS discount on tickets. Call to make sure the offer still stands before you go. The figures were cool, not exactly life size-presidents, superheroes, scary movie villains-dont worry, they let you bypass the scary stuff if you arent into it. Overall, I would say visit for yourself, you may love it.
Really neat wax museum. I really enjoyed the haunted house in the basement! It was definitely worth visiting and fun. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed taking pics with the wax sculptures!
This place is completely amazing. I think i had more fun with my children in here than you could even hope for.. You must go...
Pricey to get in ($47 for 2 people) and it took us about 10 minutes to walk through. Most of the wax figures dont look like the person. Wouldnt recommend and wont be going back.
To crowded
Although some dont look EXACTLY like the real life person its still fun to explore and take photos. The new superheroes exibit is great and we LOVED the scary section was like a spooky haunted house!
If you love cheesy attractions and poorly done wax figurines this is THE place for you.Passion of the christ and a actual Crucifixion in wax.Horrific and tastelessHad great laughs
I remember coming here as a child, and more recent for me as an adult in 2006. I was disappointed in the horror section. Using TV screens to replace what was once wax look a likes of horror movie characters behind the pick a door doors. Some of the doors had no door knobs, and dated horror characters (how ever they are classic villians). The addition of comic characters were a welcomed change, but I feel the museum has been cut down to size, it doesnt take as long to walk through like I remember, and the exhibits bounce around. You go from comic characters to fairy land, to colonial to horror to Spanish. I still had a good time dont get me wrong it just seemed too expensive for the wonky-ness and lack of exhibits. Kids will LOVE this place.
Fun to check out all the wax people. Some of them are pretty realistic, but others look kind of cheap. Really enjoyed the haunted exhibit
Enjoyable. The wax figures are not the best, but still a lot of fun to look at. The scary dungeon was unexpected but really good. Good size place to see. Nice and cool inside for when the mid day sun is out.
These wax museums are fun to see, I visited about 10 years ago and they keep updating their waxes .Avengers big hit with grandson. Thanks for having a place to sit and snacks.
Pleasantly surprised. Better than I expected.
Interesting place.
Great place! Front counter person at the time told us we couldnt buy a duo package for wax museum and Ripleys that we had to buy everything, so I bought my tickets online for the package we wanted.
It was ok, we have been to better sister stores like Nashville & Las Vegas. 50% were not look alikes. I wont go again.Staff not friendly.
Some of the figures did not look right. But it was nicely set up.
Ive gone to the Wax Museum since I was a child. Ive probably been 7-10 times. They tend to change the layout everytime Ive visited which is a nice change. I wish they would add more people though but, Im sure that will come in time.I agree with some of the reviewers that some of the figures dont look a whole lot like there human counter parts. But, for the most part they look good.It brings back the nostalgia of going here when I was younger when I visit now. I probably go more than people would normally do but, its just an enjoyable experience. The horror section downstairs is fun to visit. To enter you have to open a series of doors to find which one is the entrance all but one have a monster figure behind the door. It gives off a scary vibe which is cool. Once inside it is VERY dark. It is way more enjoyable walking through with a crowd. Different pressure mats trigger things to happen when you walk through which is cool.I would definitely recommend going here at least once when you venture to San Antonio.
Awesome place. They have new exhibit and new wax figures. Love it
Ive visited other Wax museum before and this one is a bit short.. Was expecting more folks (missing former presidents, and former first lady), missing lot of Asian actors including Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, missing lot of famous politicians but had President Trump on the main entrance and missing lot of famous sports figures. But if youre in the area you might as well get the two for one or three for one pass and visit all three; its less than a block apart.
Really fun place to go too very different but bring a jacket!
I usually enjoy a wax museum but this one seemed subpar to others
Making wax hands is fun and they are a really cool keepsake.
Interesting enough. Standard wax museum. Nothing awe inspiring. A little pricey, but to be expected.
We had a blast! Our son just graduated from Airforce Basic Training and we decided to take him here. It was fun to see him laughing and smiling.
My family and I visited for the first time about a week ago. We had an amazing good time. The wax figures we so life like, we took hundreds of pictures and posed with all the figures. If you looking for something different this is the spot. Concession stand is great too...
Must visit, and stand next to wax lifelike figures of famous people.
The wax figures were more or less accurate. Some people I couldnt tell who they were. The new Donald Trump figure at the front was hilariously accurate, and the Predator figure in the window as well. pretty cool, keep adding more to keep it up.
The wax figures were not accurate at all and this museum is extremely small! I would advise anyone to not waste your money on this! Go to Ripleys Believe it or Not!!! Its pretty Awesome and right next door to this museum!
They have Donald Trump posted outside of the entrance when I was there. I remembered movie stars and celebraties. This scary dungeon is well executed. I love this museum.
Horrible. Great disappointment with the wax sculptures. Most appeared to be done by sculpting learners. The price of admission far exceeded the entertainment value. You will waste your money if you go here. It is a small museum if you can call it that and not worth your time nor your cash. Save your money for Sea World. Never going back.
It was fun and statues resemble a lot the real person
Great memories, well worth the effort to visit!!!
Very interesting. Some of the wax sculptures didnt look like who they were supposed to be. Some were spot on. Husband says the scary part is a must see if you like to be scared. I, however, cried.
It was a small walk through i felt like. I went over ten years ago and they still had some of the same wax art from then. They do offer a snack bar that serves only things youd get at a movie theater. And they have a 4D show.
Eh save your money we paid 100$for our family of 6 one infant and one 2 year old .. for about 10 min of time we got pushed through the whole thing by a large group and my kids were scared to death by the downstairs portion.. so maybe 5 min .. all and all spend your money to do something else!!
It was fun the only thing Id change is the amount of people at a time they let do the wax hands. I wasted 45 min while one family got wax hands done and they were still adding kids when we left.
This place was super cool!!! Loved the bottom floor with the horror movie characters!!!
It was just ok. Figures were about 60% but kids had fun anyways. Maybe not so much for adults
Great place to spend time with family
So much time and details in the displays make this a must see for a trip in this area.
Fun for the family if you are super into pictures, selfies, etc. As a 20-something couple, the figures in the lobby from Avengers were the most fun for us.
Figures are not very realistic.. they really pale in comparison to Madame Tussauds. Some I didnt even recognize until I saw the name. Like Madonna. Not like her at all. But, the horror part was fun.
JESUS i love wax muesems they are Sick!!!!!!!
It was really interesting!
Ok. I have seen photos of the wax museum in Vegas. Those look lifelike. These are a cheap knockoff. Some are close. Some are similar to the people they are supposed to resemble. Most are crappy.
The place should more than just looking at wax figures overall pretty decent place to go.
OMG..... This was so BAD, smh!!! The price was WAY too expensive, thats the 1st problem. Almost $80 for 4 people, two kids and two adults!? Ok, we paid and now we are in. We are looking around and we are literally shaking our heads, lol. Thank God yall put the names by these wax figures because some of them would have been an unsolved mystery! Are yall kidding with this..... this was NOT worth the money we spent. This was a mess, a HOT mess and a waste of money!
Not the best wax figures but still a fun place to visit..
Some are spot on, but others look nothing like who they should. I loved the horror section. I would do it again.
Loved it! It was so much fun!
Its no Madaam Tussauds. The wax figures were uh. Some looked like the people but most didnt, to me.
Pretty poor customer service. Ordered a wax hand and they took almost two hours because the staff was messing around instead of working. Two girls were doing nothing, just watching and fooling around.
Nice and fun
Cool place, but pretty pricey. The themes changing with each figure makes you feel more like in the time of that person.
Very neat place to see in San Antonio tx
For being in this location its a fun place to go for a weekend! We enjoyed it. I do have one or two major complaint. The girl that helped us with our wax hands, her name is Marie I believe, was a total and complete unfriendly employee with the worst attitude. She didnt smile once and acted like she HATED her job. Didnt acknowledge when someone was standing there and when she did she acted like it was a burden to actually do her job. WORST customer service I have EVER gotten. Oh not to mention the guy working the museum desk (cant remember his name but he has piercings) was talking very loudly about his opinion about abortions and Im pretty sure Im not the only one who didnt wanna hear his opinions! Def not the best experience we had there.
Some figures were better than others, but do not mistake this place for Madame Tussauds, as the quality is no where near.
WHAT A RIPOFF!!! The Louis Tussauds waxworks museum was a total ripoff. I have been to other museums and this one is the worst by far. It is extremely neglected. Some figures were missing ears many others were missing fingers, eye lashes, hair, etc and it wasnt any of the heroes of the Alamo. On top of it all the figures did not even resembled the real people the slightest. For $21 per ticket it is definitely NOT WORTH IT. Do yourself a favor and stay away and save your money.
Very neat place, but the horror house was the best part! Also did the Wax Hands while waiting on the 4D Theater showing.
The wax figures couldve been a little better modeled but it was fun to explore with friends.
Very nice wax-works museum
The wax figures looked nothing like the real people. The selection was very slim and out dated. Definitely not worth the money. The line was very long.
Awesome history
Love this place havent been in a while but know it never lets me down
A must visit when in the area
Great place to visit, very interesting.
None of the figures looked realistic.
Nice Place
Dont waste your time and money. The wax figures look nothing like the ones in New York City. Poor quality of work. Stay far away!!!!
Thanks for being so attentive!
Worst museum I have ever been to. There no history, nothing to learn, just cheesy sculpires of celebrities to take selfies with.
Excellent place I like this place
Its cool and all but not worth the piece of admission
Disappointing - this was not near as good as Madame Tussauds in Vegas. The Wax figures did not look like the real people - not even close. Also, at Madame Tussauds, you can touch take lots of pictures with the wax figures. Here, at Louis Tussauds - there were people around telling you not to touch and such. It was a real bummer.
Loved it! Came with the family.
Some of the wax figures were terrible, but overall it was a great experience for my daughter
Thank you for attending the publics needs!
Awesome place we all loved it
Very disappointed with most of the celebrities. The haunted portion was better, but still did not make up for the lack of detail and quality of the celebrities.
It was nice to see and walk around but way over priced
Not worth the money.Wax sculptures were generally only barely similar enough to celebrities to distinguish, and often had disproportionate fingers, feet, or heads.
