They allow some really awesome programs to use there location. I dont go to church here but they are really awesome in helping the community

This review deserves best beyond words. Ive made this my home church. Im the type of person who church hops if I dont feel comfortable. I feel a church is not supposed to judge, but only talk about Jesus, God, and how to better ourselves. Not only do they do that, they also have programs to help anyway they can (PTO, Feed SA, KID City/daycare during services, etc.). If your like me and just want to get to know God and feel his presence again, come to a service. THEY HAVE A COFFEE CAFE! Let there be no excuse not to come... we love you, GOD LOVES YOU! Please, let us help you find God again.

God speaks to me through every sermon and I love the music. It is a large church and you can get lost in the crowd on Sunday morning. So to remedy that I joined a mens circle group and it has been fantastic fellowship and learning and encouragement!

Id been looking for a new church for a while, and then I remembered my friend attends CCBR and asked if I could join her. I LOVED it!! The songs are beautiful and you can feel the love for our God and Jesus. Wow!! The pastor was amazing! He tells his sermons in a way to make you understand. I found my church.

Nice place. Sermons by some pastors have gotten to mainstream. Including talking about rap artists as if they were good role models. Other preachers not bad. Sticking to the scripture would be better.

Excellent service. Praise & Worship outstanding! The pastors message was down to earth yet uplifting and inspiring. Wonderful, if you didnt know Jesus loves you, you know now!

Came here to the 11pm vigilant service for Christmas. It was wonderful and peaceful. Beautiful music.

First time I went to city community Church it was awesome I loved when you have the church people in front of the stage to pray for you and after the services is done they still have people up there to pray for you I love that. The music to praise God it was awesome. I loved it when the music was over they said a prayer before they start the services. And then later the pastor gave everybody a few minutes also and said a prayer for everyone. The only thing that I would love was for the pastor to recognize the new people or the first time people that come to the services to recognize them . If he would of talked or meet w us as a new member to the church

Amazing place of worship and sound teachings. Bible based and truthful. No dress code as some would probably expect coming from other traditional churches. No church look is seen here. Only very different people, from all nationalities, all races, and from every walk of life, worshipping and learning together, because they feel the acceptance, the unconditional love, and the hope of Jesus Christ reflected in Bandera Road City Church.

Love this church when U am visiting San Antonio! They have day care & make their own coffee & pastrys. Everyone is friendly & laid back. You can wear jeans & t-shirt & feel comfy there. Pastors word was right on & it felt like it was just for me. Im glad I got to visit them & will keep going back.

My wife and I were both raised Catholic. Everything was always so ritualistic and we got burned out. My wife found city church and I have to say going to church seemed like a chore before but now I look forward to Sundays! Everybody is so great here, kind, accepting and understanding! If you feel like youre somewhere you are welcomed or made to feel like you dont belong, swing by and catch a service. You will be surprised.

My first impression was the friendly staffs and greeters at the entrances. The worship team was also amazing and sang the song with all their heart and soul. I came in with my family and we enjoyed the great experience. The lead pastor delivered a great sermon that day about Christianity. After the congregation over, there is in house Cafe place where you can enjoy a cup of hot coffee, and nice cold tea or cappuccino. They have a great cafe staffs and delicious drinks. I wish to get the name of one of the gals there who made my drink every time. I enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended for any new visitor or new family moved to Bandera/Leon Valley areas. This is a great place to visit and make your local family church and community. ️

I myself am Catholic but am seeking guidance in an possible way so I decided to go to City Church today for Sunday mass alone. Can I say I am so happy I did. Plenty of parking, volunteers all over he place willing to help you with any questions. For example I walked into the first building which I noticed had a cafe shop so I went to sit down and wait for service to begin but the youth pastor came to the front and welcomed everyone and said if this is your first time you wanna go to the other building. So I got up and went to the auditorium. In there was the service, service began with a few songs that you could sing along with then a pray. Then the pastor came up and did Sunday service. He was funny, and made the verses easier to understand by references to everyday. I will most likely go again. I was invited to join this Tuesday community circles. Im glad I went.

I love this church

We really enjoyed this church, especially the no pressure approach to giving. They don’t pass around a donation plate but rather have giving stations located outside the auditorium. Much more focused on fellowship. Also a great church if you have kids.

You know youre in the right place when your first trip to the church is accompanied by a bulls eye message from the pastor. Todays sermon about purpose, struggle and joy summarized my last 24 hours. Thank you pastor! The church is laid back, contemporary, and inviting. My daughter loved KidsCity and requested we go back next week.

This is home away from home. City church you saved my life, my spirit and regained my faith. The pastors delivery of Gods word is inspirational. The staff is always pleasant, smiling and the firm hand shakes when you’re greeted is like energy. Oh the music and the voices wow! This church is amazing it’s a blessing to anyone who attends for their first time. Must check out the cafe, the coffee is delicious, most times I attend service at the cafe. It’s a welcoming place and diverse...I love this place.

This church is wonderful. My husband and I were looking for a place we could call home and City Church Bandera is definitely it! Such a welcoming place for ANYONE who is wanting spiritual guidance, acceptance and a safe caring place to worship.You have a choice of how you would like to experience each service... go into the main church where you can sit and watch the service live, or go to their video cafe which is a large coffee shop with tables and a large viewing screen to watch a live broadcast of what is going on in the main church. On days where you dont want to leave home or are unable to go, you can watch it live online.The pastors and music here are unbelievable. Every time I go Im brought to tears because the way they celebrate through music and the message.It truly is a very special place. I encourage everyone to go and give City Church a chance.

The pastors message last week was exactly what I needed to hear. We are all messy - we all have baggage of some kind. Therefore, we should be more like Jesus and accept people as they are. The service I attended was apart from the sanctuary, and there was a screen where the music and sermon were projected. There was coffee and food available for purchase, and it tasted really good. I sang along with the music, and it was a very worshipful experience.

City Church is where I go it hits home for me I feel at peace and welcomed. All the pastors are wonderful. My favorite pastors are Brent Saathoff, John Pyle, John Witte, and Johnny D. The signing is amazing and wonderful.

Nice church but there is always single mothers looking to find new man so it makes service uncomfortable.The church always welcome new people but dont appreciate their old members.

Awesome church with practical messaging, a great kids area for all ages including diverse abilities. There is a coffe shop Ethos Cafe in the lounge media area if you perfer a more laid back atmosphere. The sanctuary is wonderful also and the staff is consistently friendly and so willing to assist whether you have directional challenges or your life needs some attention. The church considers itself a messy church meaning it is there for anyone without judgement to be what is needed for you or yours at the particular time of your life. I love this church and the place it has become in my familys life.

Today was the first day my family and i visited Bandera City Church. I must say, I was moved with the glory of God and his Holy Spirit. I had such an amazing experience today. I can say I have found my church. The songs for worship hit me right in my heart. I was moved with the Holy Spirit. Tears of joy and happiness where running down my face. This church is the real deal.You can come as you are, no one will look at the clothes you are wearing and make a judgment. Instead of judgment, you will find love, truth and new friends. If you are uncomfortable with being in the main auditorium during service then you can relax with a cup of coffee on a couch or at a table in the Video Cafe. Besides the many different options to attend church services, City Church offers several other options to get engaged with the community. The church offers free childcare during service. You can also go online and check out prior weekend services, use this tool it might save you some time. Everyone is welcome at this church. Most people go dressed very casual to the weekend services.

Been going here for a few months now and I really love the worship team. Thats one of the big things that drew me toward the church right off the bat. The pastors are very knowledgeable and definitely teach with passion. Love hearing the word of God spoken here and I really like the video cafe as an option for viewing the service. The greeters are amazing and are always smiling and shaking your hand as you walk in the doors. The cafe personnel do a great job making sure we get our morning snacks so that we can enjoy the service even more. Worship team is always doing an awesome song list to get me pumped for the message to come. It often seems like Im at a Christian music concert (which is probably one of the things I liked about it). Pastors do a great job keeping the audience engaged in their message. I always take something away from each service. I was very critical while trying to find a new church here in San Antonio ( last church was Calvary Monterey: If youre near the area in CA please go check out pastor Nate, he is an amazing man of God) and many other services in the area for whatever reason werent the ones for me. Ultimately God speaks to everyone differently and will lead you to the church you should be at, but I think that City Church is definitely a great place to look.

Our family has gone here for several years now. We were first attracted by their amazing youth program. The live music is fantastic and you have options of the main hall or coffee bar. The word is welcoming and accepting of all people.We appreciate the various programs and activities put on by City Church, from movie nights, the petting zoo that came during volunteer fest, summer activities for children, and classes for adults, there are many chances for involvement.

I love this place. I have met some wonderful ppl here and I always feel accepted and not judged

Attended 830am service this past Sunday. Im from out of state on vacation and looked for a church similar to my home church. God gave Pastor Brent words for a great sermon although a bit short then what Im used too. Worship music was great and up to date. A little loud for the size of the auditorium, but great nonetheless. I did initiate conversations as we do at my home church regardless if we know them or not, however I did feel a little out of place as no one came up to me for conversation/fellowship. All in all.. Gods word is Gods word and I would still attend here. Fellowship is encouraged

I love the live music and every service is a message. Come as you are no matter race, color, gender, culture, likes or dislikes, age, back ground, married, single, divorce, common law, rich, poor, short, tall, skinny, over weight, disabled or not . Jesus loves you for who you are. Amen. Its my birthday and i am spending it with God. Amen

When I say this church is awesome it, it is awesome! I been church hopping these last few Sundays because I needed a new church to get me to the next level and I believe this is it. This is only my second time attending, but the worship band was amazing both times and I love that their worship is so real and freeing. When one of the singers from the band paused in between the songs and spoke briefly about his life experience and how he never felt connected to God growing up and because he never felt connected, like many of us that felt the same emptiness and tried to fill that hole with anything and everything but only God can fill, this led him to using drugs, alcohol, partying. I started tearing up because I also went down that same road for years. He then said it was in that moment 4 years ago he finally heard from God for the first time in his life and God told him he was His child and He loved him and his life changed from that moment on. Thats when I started crying. We went on to sing Im no longer a slave to fear and because he shared his testimony with me I was so moved when singing that song. I walked out that church with a new heart and I felt like I actually belonged there. The past two pastors had incredible messages and even gave us homework!!!! Lol. I felt welcomed the moment I stepped in. The pastors and some from the worship band are full of tattoos so trust theres no judging going on. The best thing about this church is they love Jesus. You will feel the same.

This church remembers the main point behind all of Jesus teachings. God is love. Christians today get lost in semantics and sometimes forget the main message. City Church keeps love as the focal point. They also give real life advice for real life issues. They offer support groups and have the Beautiful Feet initiative to reach beyond the walls of the church. I cant tell you how many times the message that was preached that week was EXACTLY what we were going through in our lives. Pertinent and heartfelt messages. These people love God and you can feel it when they worship, and when they preach. They welcome those who need Gods love the most just like Jesus did- the lost and hurting. Because like the Pastor Dave says, We are all in need of recovery in some level. I love my church.
