What a great place! Its my first time ever going there but how fun! This time was for a movie in the park but I can completely imagine a fun little amateur play or a musical concert happening on that stage. Easy to find. Lots of parking. Beautiful river! Its just a really fun place!

This is a fantastic community theatre and program for the arts and a theater located in Murray Park. This is a great venue that was recently fully upgraded and modernized, and they do a wonderful job with the performances and makes for a great summer evening.

Fantastic venue with good acoustics and exceptional talent. Went to see Little Women and was blown away by the talent show by all of the performers. We will definitely be returning in the near future. It was a wonderful way to spend a summer night.

Good place for a small concert or play, stadium-style seats with back support. You can bring your own food in. Very nice.

Really enjoyed Beauty and the Beast here. The actors and musicians were fantastic. Enjoyed the outdoor setting by the creek. Impressed they have a pit for the live orchestra.

Nice amphitheater, being tall the seating isnt terrible, but not great either. Hard metal benches so bring a cushion. The sound system needs work as it would always make noises during the play. But not a bad play to enjoy a show

Review №13

I have only seen one show here but I was so impressed for being a community theater. They have a pit for live orchestra!!!! That is not a common thing with community theaters. The Grand doesnt even have that. I love the tucked away nature by a bunch of trees. The show had excellent performers and wonderful set and costumes. They updated/remodeled the theater and facilities a fee years ago. Such a little gem.

It is a family friendly area for picnics or community activities. The river nearby sets a nice atmosphere, but not good for very small children. Great place to walk around.

I know its outdoors so there only so much they can do, but there was a show I went too and there was a large part roped off due to a wasp nest. I feel like thats something they should clean up before a show. Again, I understand its nature so theres only so much power someone has.

A very fun place to watch a community theater play. The performers are all pretty good and without exception pour their hearts and souls into their performances!

My wife and I have come here a few times to see musicals performed and each time it has been a blast. My wife does reviews for a non profit theater reviewing company and thats why we went this most recent time. We saw Beauty and the Beast and it was far above the quality youd expect from a local city performance. The set, live pit orchestra, and actors/actresses were all quite good. The amphitheater itself has quite a bit of seating but tends to sell out so make sure you arrive a bit early so you can actually find a seat. The seating are metal bleachers with closed backs so bring something soft to sit on if your butt gets tired easily. Both times Ive gone the performances have started at 8 so the whole amphitheater was shaded for seating (sun sets behind the seating) and it got a bit chilly late into the performance (even though its late July) so consider a blanket or jacket. The amphitheater is a high quality local structure and has nice bathrooms as well. Youll enjoy your experience here.

Really nice theater. However, it is outside and on bleachers, if you bring something to cushion the the bleachers then you should be fine.

Great theater! They recently remodeled the place, making it nicer for both audiences and production teams. Great dressing rooms, green room, bathrooms, and stage space. Seats for the audience are as good as theyll get for an outdoor theater that has to endure rain and snow. The tech crew that works there are amazing as well--all of them are kind, helpful, friendly, and supportive.

My favorite park in Salt Lake area! My wife wishes wed moved to Murray just to be closer to it. My sons only complaint - had to walk all the way across the park to find a place that sells Mountain Dew. (Thats a plus in my book.) The park is large, with a lot of different things to do. Amphitheatre, pool and rec center, splash pad, hills, walking paths, playgrounds, pavilions. Its been around long enough to have mature landscaping, and is well maintained.
