Great venue for the Suzuki 5 Piano Concert!

Beautiful theater with great acoustics. I hope to see more shows there! Its also nice that it has ample parking, unlike other downtown theaters.

I was here for Sundance 2020. It is a beautiful theater and quite large. Acoustics are really wonderful.

Im always surprised how good the production value is for the price. Weve seen four shows here and theyve all been done so well.

Just attended the BeatALS benefit concert at the Grand. An amazing venue for a very worth while cause. Lets hope they were able to raise a large amount of money for the battle against ALS.

The theater is very large and the decorum does indeed make it grand. The rows of seats are spaced out rather well for people to go in and out. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that the seats become fairly uncomfortable after a few showings (at Sundance)

Great venue to take in a few Sundance films with comfortable seating except for the upper gallery (too narrow for my 510 legs).

We attended a show at the Grand Theatre Back Stage which was cozy. The show Musical of Musicals was funny.

I just watched First Date at the Backstage at the Grand. The onstage seating makes it feel almost like you are part of the production. It was fun. Michael Johnson was stunning in the role of Aaron. Beautiful voice! The show was hilarious. Cant wait to go again.

The leg room is seriously amazing in this theater and the main reason to get yourself to a show here. Holy cannoli! My long-legged husband could stretch out and didnt even have to get up when we needed to let people get to their seats on the other side of us. Its a fun atmosphere and the remodel is pretty cool. We enjoyed our experience here!

Great building! Good acoustics. Was there formy middle school aged sons group. They could be heard! It was amazing! The stage is huge and the seating is ample yet intimate.

They have a very impressive institution and an array of classes that all seem extremely fun and made to make sure that you are well equipped with skills that meet the field that you are going into.

Saw the play Curtains and what a great show! Had a great time at a great venue! Highly recommend!

Went to see Tan France in the theater. It was fine, although we were unsure where we could park, and they opened the door much earlier than was stated in the invite. Probably the people running the show had more to do with that. The seats are comfortable, view is great.

Went to South High School and graduated from there. Both my Sons graduated from there also. Going to the shows brings back good memories. They do a good job with the shows they have. Enjoyed it very much.

Excellent experience. Only one complaint is we couldnt hear the speaking voices and singing very well until after intermission. The dancing and singing and staging was great.

I took my 9 year old to a play here. Great for grownups and kids. Very professional. Ticket sales were smooth and easy at the box office. Parking is kind of a pain. We parked behind the building and put money in a meter.

Seats are entirely too close together. The only comfortable seating position is with your feet on the seat in front of you. Other than that nice theater

Easter Sunday service there. Great venue, but leg room in the seats is very tight. If you are tall, it will not be comfortable for long stretches.

I was the last grade to graduate frm here b4 they closed. Came here to c some flamenco dancers they were great. The school brought back alot of memories.

To find this theater you must first find the Salt Lake Community College South Salt Lake Campus. Parking is on the east side of the building. When you are inside head west to the opposite side of the building where you will find the ticket office.The theater is nice. It has charm and seems to have kept its original design. The seats are uncomfortable though and there is little leg room (I am 511). However, the theater style seating has a pretty steep incline so the person in front of you doesnt block your view of the stage below (usually). I had 2nd level upper tier seating, so I dont have a review for the ground level seats.There seem to be plenty of options for their ticket sales. I purchased online and received tickets in the mail way in advance of the event. I ended up losing my tickets so I logged back on to the site (on my phone) and found a digital copy of the barcodes which worked great. Others had printed tickets from their home printers, so they are flexible in that way.

The Grand Theatre is a little hidden gem in Salt Lake. The fact that it resides inside a community college takes away more visibility too. It is quite bit and an excellent place to host mid size events. It could take a little TLC like new seats or a new coat of paint.

The theatre was beautiful. The actors all did a great job with their parts. I only wish I had truly known what the play was about. I dont consider myself a prude but I was offended by the subject matter. That is my problem, not the actors or the theatre itself. Like I said, They did a great job getting into their parts; never missed a line or cue, that I was aware of; and the temperature in the large room was comfortable. Not too hot or too cold.

Great movie. Be warned about how small the seats are on the balcony. I am 5 2 and my knees hit.

I love going to the Grand Theatre for the Sundance Film Festival each year and try to get films specifically at this venue. The volunteer staff are wonderful people, and super friendly.

This is our second play at the Grand Theater and again Im impressed by the quality of the production. The actors were talented and the play was well chosen. So much fun!

Such an amazing theater for movies, comedy hours, and plays. Sundance has showings for quite a few of their films at the Grand Theater during the festival for the Salt Lake crowd if you want to avoid Park City.Its really a hidden gem in the old Salt Lake Community College building.

Great intimate theater. We saw Dee Dee for a jazz standard night and it was amazing.

As someone who is chronically warm and even more chronically short, Im in love with this theater. The seats are low enough that I can lay both feet flat on the floor, and there are ventsbuilt into the floor that keep the place appropriately climate-controlled, even with a packed house. Larger people will appreciate this theater too, since the seats are wide enough that you arent packed shoulder to shoulder like sardines.

Great venue. Lots of parking. Easy in and out. Not a bad seat in the house.

Dont ever sit in the balcony section. Theres absolutely no leg room. Pure pain, never again.

Went to the SLCC campus to acquire tickets for the upcoming show, not knowing that the box office opened at noon and it was 11:20 AM. I opted to sit down and wait after speaking with an office personnel. At noon the box office did not open so I walked to the admin door and knocked. It was now nearing 12:10 PM when I was informed the person that was to man the box office would be late with no anticipated time of arrival. I asked him to call for more information which he did. Soon afterwards another lady opened the box office and while being instructed how to sell me the tickets using the computer, by telephone, I soon had my tickets. Kudos to that wonderful young lady who efficiently completed the transaction. She got it right on the first attempt. Not impressed that the box office did not open on time, but truly impressed with the corrective action.

We saw Eclipse and Loved it!!! It was very comfortable, lots of leg room and excellent sound.

Went to see Amahl and the Night Visitors and A Christmas Carol last evening. Both productions were beautifully presented by students from the U of Utah and the Salt Lake Symphony.

For the size of this theater, its incredible how easy it is to see the screen from anywhere and how good the sound is.

The theater is beautiful, and the performances of DeeDee Darby-Duffin, Brian Bennett, David Evanoff, Mark Maxson and Alicia Wrigley were outstanding. You have two more nights to catch this show!
