I went to see RENT, one of my favorite musicals. I had some tickets given to me so I cant complain, but the seats were literally on the last row in the top section and while we were able to hear the great score, we couldnt see much as far as the action. The Eccles is a great venue and other than this (which has nothing to do with them) this was a great experience.

What an awesome time to support Jenis niece Dexonna Talbot when she won Miss Utah 2019!!!We cheered her on as she did a flawless performance in Ballet. Nice theatre-great showThis was my first time attending a performance (Wicked) at this theatre which still has a new appeal to it as it was built in 2016.The parking garage just west of the building was a perfect location, reasonable cost and easy walking distance to City Creek for dining prior to.Staff was friendly and lobby was clean. Behind the Will Call window they posted timing during the performance for those with sensitivity concerns such as flashing lights orloud noises. There are concessions, which I could not locate on their website, which even included beer, and sweet treats. Note the tiny bag of the sugar fix will run you $4 a bag and the candy (Roc) quality was not worth the price. The “sour” stars tasted like the jelled orange slices you get at the grocery store.Feel free to take the stairs, all the way up for the top tier if you would like, or the elevator.View from tier 1, second row, was great. I really can’t imagine being higher than that and still being able to see details. The seats themselves regarding comfort—not. They had no give and were extremely firm. For long theatre performances not ideal. The lobby was hot as if they brought summer inside but inside the theatre the air conditioning was flowing freely. But I have to admit for someone who usually doesn’t get cold I have to admit I got chilled. Plan accordingly. It was nice to see they have accommodations for kids as they offer an extra seat cushion that they can stack on the one set in the chair and giving kids an extra boost in height for viewing purposes.

This was my first time at the Eccles Theater so I didnt know what to expect. The theater was absolutely gorgeous and you could tell they take good care of it. We went there for Paw Patrol Live and sat in the third row of the upper section. When we first got there I was concerned that we wouldnt be able to see so much because I did not realize our tickets were so far back however I really dont think theres a bad seat in the place. The acoustics were wonderful you could really see everything and the seats were comfortable. I would definitely go there again for an event, I was really impressed.

I went to the Eccles theater to see Wicked. First if all it was amazing! Seriously just as good as when I saw it in New York. The acoustics were great and I felt like I was right next to the stage (even though I wasn’t). Also, I was expecting the old theater cramped seats where my knees hit the chair in front of me but this new theater is excellent! Plenty of space between me and my seat mates as well. Overall a really great experience!

Went two hours before the show started and put my name in the raffle for the lottery tickets. And luck was in my favor. Only $25 dollars for Box A seats right up front. Amazing!!! the seats we got from the lottery pick were so good. The theatre is amazing clean and modern, during the intermission the ceiling looks like stars. The only downside was being up close and in the box the speakers on the side of the stage blocked some of your view. So you could not get a full view of the stage. But overall enjoyable afternoon show

We have been here twice now and its a great theater. Weve sat up in the very top of the balcony and at the back of the main floor. One complaint is that the higher up you go you feel like you are bending your neck down to look down on the stage. I will never sit in the top again. But every seat on the floor is good enough. Also, eat and drink before you come because the concession prices are expensive! The staff is always friendly and helpful, the theater and lobby are beautiful and the whole place is always clean.

Awesome place to catch a concert or a play/musical. Ushers are helpful. They need to let.people know that there can be a bottle-neck at the security check points as you are entering the lobby. If you dont arrive early you may not get to your seat in time. Parking is also not ideal. It took 45 minutes to get out because everyone is leaving at once. I recommend parking at City Creek or on the street if possible.

I attended a performance at the Eccles Theater of Come From Away, and it was a wonderful experience. I have attended similar shows in Dallas, London and NYC, but I have to say this was comparable. One of the unusual things about the Eccles is that the seats are unusually large for a theater. In many of the theaters in other cities, I often felt cramped, as I have large shoulders. I felt much more relaxed here. I was up in the highest level of the theater, but had a great view of the stage and was very happy with it, especially at the 30 dollar price point. Some productions here can cost $200 or more, so it was a really great value. All in all, a gorgeous venue in a gorgeous city.

The Eccles Theater was beyond amazing! I saw The Lion King there and it was phenomenal. I have seen plays in other theaters before, including The Lion King in the popular Minkoffs theater in NYC. The Eccles Theater was top notch: amazing sound and great seats on all the tiers. It was beautiful! Ushers were nice (and the majority of them are all volunteers). I would suggest getting there plenty early, that is probably the only down side. There is limited parking and the elevators are not set up the in most efficient way. Also food is semi limited for grab and go - a few sandwiches, drinks, etc.If you are coming with a handicap need like I was a few tips to look out for. The bottom of the tier is accessible from the floor of the tier below. For example: If you are on Tier 3 row A, you could access it easier from the floor; Tier 2, allowing you to walk less stair or pull up a wheel chair. Also, an usher will take your wheelchair out and may give you a call tag.Protip: Park in City Creek if you can, right below Lush, it will be the best available.

Beautiful theater! No matter which seat you are in you have a good view of the stage. The sounds is also pretty great. It is not a good place for a “dinner” though. Eccles Theater is a really great venue for plays and musicals. The theater is massive and can seat hundreds if not thousands. It has three levels of seating. We attended the theater for the book of mormon Broadway show which was incredible. We sat row 11 in the center which was a $150 ticket but well worth it. The kids got cushions that acted as booster seats (free) from customer service too, so that helped a lot. We could still see facial expressions and didn’t miss a beat. I really like this theater for theatrical productions. The lobby is modern - it is nothing amazing, but a good place to stretch your legs. The balcony on the third level is worth visiting if you have time. It has a great view. The concessions are mediocre. I dont expect movie theater level concessions, but I dont enjoy paying $7 for a small box of candy. The drinks were $3 for a bottle, which is reasonable for this type of setting. But, the most important part is the theater. It is a large stage with pretty good acoustics. The seats are comfortable enough. I saw one show in a box seat, which was fabulous. I love that you can position your seat for the best viewing.I saw the second show on the 3rd tier. I was worried that I wouldnt be able to see the show well from that high up. But to my surprise, I felt fairly close to the stage. They built the tiers at a steep vertical angle. So even being on the third to last row, I still felt close. And the steep angle helped me see over the tall guy in front of me. The attached photo shows the view from the third tier. I was pleasantly surprised for the inexpensive tickets I purchased. Also - there were reviews saying how hot it was on the third tier. They must have fixed that problem because it was a good temperature on a hot August evening.I also love the location of the theater. You can park, pick up dinner, then see the show. There are many eating options nearby as well as the mall.

Went for my birthday and wanted to go there for the variety of the menu. When I went it was with the theme of the play going on that evening, Book of Mormon so the main course dishes were bland for me and not very surprising for me. I mean it was your simple dinner of choosing either pot roast, breaded chicken, trout, or regular tomato soup. It wasnt exciting my taste buds but then again it was themed to the back drop of Mormons and theyre taste buds are fairly boring to begin with. Im sure if it were themed to another play the menu would be more spiced up for your taste buds
