My first experience with Cristom Vineyards was not that great. I heard about their pinots and wanted to try. I called for reservation and got there on time. I walked in and saw this lady at the counter, told her that I have a 1pm and she directed me to sit at the patio. I waited for 30 minutes and nobody came to serve me. I walked back to the counter and saw a guy and that same lady who checked me in earlier. I told them that I waited for 30 mins and no server and no service. This lady did not say a word and that guy said he will serve me. I find it hard to believe if there is no discrimination. I tried to call on her several times when she walked by my table. She ignored me several times until I walked up to her face and ask for customer service. This guy, Tim, tried his best to serve us and their pinots are great. BUT, with this type of service, I do not think I will ever return. Im sure I can find other great pinots in Oregon. If anyone who is Asian and have a different experience, a positive one, let me know. This is unacceptable!
Loved this wine tasting Eco Tour with Tim. Well worth the $75. We spent more than 2 hours touring the entire estate tasting the wines ( and grapes)at each block of grapes. We look learned so much about the vineyard, Pinot noir and their production process. Tasting each grape and related wine in the actual vineyard were the highlight of our tour.
This was so disappointing, especially for the cost. Cost is $70 for a wine tasting of 6 for two. In general this is extremely pricey. We were forced to pay before we even arrived. Our server was only able to give us facts and was not able to hold a stable conversation, unlike the other server. The wine itself was utterly disappointing and none of them came directly from the vineyard. It was all mixed from different vineyards. Also, you “get your wine tasting cost back” if you buy 3 bottles PER person but the cost of their wine is outrageous.Go to Redhawks vineyards, the wine is delicious and it’s only $15 each for a taste of 8 and the wine is fantastic. We walked away with a case and couldn’t be happier.
Beautiful setting with a very knowledgeable crew! And the wine was absolutely beautiful. Would absolutely go again.
I visited this Vineyard for business on behalf of 20 Twenty Sustainable Manufacturing, and I will be back. Tom & Christines property has an amazing view and great seating!
I was told by Cristom when making our reservation for four persons that the total tasting fee of $140 or $35 per person would be returned with the purchase of three bottles. We purchased three bottles and only one tasting fee was returned after we had left in an email. This means we paid $105 for extremely small tastings of six of their wines. The six could not have equaled more than one glass of wine per person. Not only did Cristom not honor their word of returning the full fee but the value of the tasting was a complete rip-off. We did enjoy ourselves but this was ruined later to find in an email from them that only one tasting fee was to be returned. Wineries used to provide tastings for free, then a fee was imposed which was returned with purchase to sort out those who were there to drink for free. This was fair. Cristom did not treat us fair with their outrageous tasting fee and their not honoring their word of returning this.
Great staff, decent wine. Nice view.
Good view, tasty wine and friendly people. Well worth a visit.
The wine was great, the service was great, but a $35 tasting fee (returned with three bottle purchases). Might be different if I was tasting $100 bottles, but their bottles are all $20-$50. Overboard.
World class wine. Amazing views. Excellent service.
Love the wines at Cristom and are a good value for the quality.
This was our very first winery during our trip to Oregon, and it was an amazing introduction to Oregon wines. Holly was a fantastic person to take us through our wine tasting, and she was so personable and friendly. She is very knowledgeable about wine, and we learned so much about Oregon wines and Cristom. We enjoyed the wines at Cristom so much that we left with several bottles to enjoy back home. This winery was still our favorite even after visiting several others in the area.
Its always so beautiful out there.
I can highly recommend a visit to Cristom, known for its whole clusterfermentation, low staff turnover rate and outstanding wine/winemaker, Steve. Many people have been there for over 25 years!Julie and Darcy love working there, and it shows. They speak veryhighly of Steve, and his old world style. Both ladies were very knowledgable, yet down to Earth and engaging. Julie was a lot offun and made the entire experience a blast. The views are lovely andyou will have a wonderful experience too. Thanks, ladies! Elizabeth
This review is a little late, but my wife and I went there as part of a wine-tasting tour for our anniversary. This was easily our favorite of the day, so much so that it was the only one we bought wine at. They were well-staffed with friendly, knowledgeable people. It was nice to be able to have a good discussion with the staff without feeling like I was distracting them from other guests. The wine was very good and I enjoyed talking and learning about the owners. The setting was typical Oregon winery: gorgeous and elegant.
Very nice people!
Our first visit to Oregon vinyards and this was our absolute favorite for the selections. Not a spectacular view unless you enjoy a view of the beautiful vinyards. But are you looking for a special view or fabelous wine? We cant just visit the vinyard from over here in Florida but we have ordered 5 cases of Rose and Pinot Gris and have thoroughly enjoyed them.. very knowledgable staff and everyone is super friendly. If youre out this way definatly one not to miss.
Carter was great!! He was very knowledgeable about the wine process and the vineyards. We loved him. Plus it was great wine! We will definitely stop again.
Just 15 minutes away from Salem is hidden this Willamette gem. We stopped by for a wine tasting and selected the seasonal flight (5 wines for $15) that we shared for 2.We got to taste a very delicate and fruity Viognier, a Pinot Noir rosé (I am not much of a rosé girl but something happened there!) and 3 beautiful Pinot Noir (we both had a crush on Eileen, so different and surprising!).I highly recommend to visit for:- the very warm welcome we got from the whole team and especially the young lady who guided our flight.- obviously the wine quality, you are among the really good ones.- the charming tasting house, patio and beautiful views that made the whole experience truly enticing.- the very reasonable price point.Bravo!
Great wines!
We had a lovely time at our tasting. We learned a lot about the areas wines and the different philosophies of wine making. Christoms practice of controlling all facets of the process turns out very good wine. We ended up ordering a case of Pinot Gris that beats any other Ive tasted. Merry Christmas to those of you receiving a bottle! Famous for its Pinot Noirs (as is the entire Eola Hills region), this winery impresses with its tasting cellar layout, friendly staff and beautiful vineyard. A $15.00 tasting fee, nearly A$40 for two, was a little steep, considering Pinot Noir is not high on our preferred list of wines, so we toured the impressive vineyard instead.
Lovely tasting with lunch. Beautiful view. Wonderful staff who are very knowledgeable and attentive. Great wine! Must Visit!
We had a great time at Cristom Vineyards. Jeri gave us a warm welcome, and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We enjoyed our conversation, our tasting, the beautiful scenery, and the complimentary local cheese very much. Well definitely come back the next time we visit!
Recommended by Jack at Back Road Tours. Its one of his favorites and now its one of ours. Staff friendly and knowledgeable and pours are generous.
Breathtaking views of Mt. Jefferson. Nice patio and grassy sitting area. Walkways through peaceful flower gardens. Delicious wines.
Really enjoyed the tasting and history of the winery!
Great place to taste wine. My very favorite pinots.
Had a beautiful view! And a great, modern-looking tasting room with good wines.
Amazing wine and view! Nice treat from Willamette Valley Cheese Company too.
Cristom was amazing. Great wines and customer service!
Our visit far exceeded expectations. We had visited another winery in the area and enjoyed the visit. Christom, however, was heads above for atmosphere, hosting, and most importantly wine taste and quality. Sipping some fantastic pinot noir while sitting out side soaking in the sun and enjoying an expansive view of the Willamette Valley could not have been better. The sales pitch was low key, but effective, and the tasting fee was waived with the purchase of a bottle of wine. We look forward to a return visit.
The Mt Jefferson Cuvée is my favorite, but they have many fine wines. Dont miss on you tour.
I saw this place to her cellphone
A wonderful producer of premium Pinot noir in the Eola-Amity Hills. Its a beautiful property and a must visit!
Very friendly staff, lovely wine selection and quality!
Beautiful wines, view and nice tasting room
Ok
