Weve always loved coming here, a very nice area with restrooms and picnic areas. Unfortunately the area is flooded due to the high levels of the Chattahoochee. But we were still able to have a nice walk that included hooking up with the Roswell Riverwalk. Wonderful views of the river. The boardwalk is very nice and well maintained.
Beautiful gem of Roswell. Parking is limited, so plan accordingly. If parking across the road from river, (yes you can) pull off the road completely so as not to obstruct bike lane; cops are known to give ticket frequently if not parked correctly. There is a beautiful playground as well as a picnic shelter. 2 grilling stations (byo stuff). Easy walking trail (wide) all the way across hwy 9 as well as other side to just b4 Cobb county line.
Beautiful walk. Started at Azalea Park and walked the boardwalk over the river. So pretty. About 3.5 miles round trip
Great park. Great for walking jogging bike riding rafting canoeing. Great place to bring the kids to play and on top of all of that I work in this park.
Great river view and a nice walking path bordering the road. Im guessing it can be hard to find a place to park during peak times though. I wish there was more park area on the river.
Park along the river with a playground and picnic pavilion. We attended a library story time under the pavilion this summer. It was a nice venue for my kiddos. We played on the playground for a bit, especially enjoying the bucket swings. The playground equipment seems newer and the ground surface was wood chips. Then we walked along the riverside. Theres a Little Free Library at one side of the parking lot. At the next parking lot over there was what looked like a rental place for canoes/kayaks and another pavillion. Theres a paved sidewalk connecting the areas together. Beautiful area to come visit.
A wonderful place to go to ! Be it for a quiet evening walk or to sit by the river and look at world go by or to spend some fun family time barbecuing in the picnic area, this place provides that fun yet calm oasis... Parking is ample but tends to get busy especially on the weekends & holidays when the young, old and everyone in between come to spend their day - rowing and boating on the river....
Great spot for outdoors right on the edge of the water. Rent canoes, watch canoeing, kayaking, fishing boats, and fish right off the edge of the water. Nice small park for kids. Picnic tables, a covered shed and a few grills. Very nice open view of the river and nature. Watch the geese. Love this place!
The park was nice and the tubing was great. My issue is parking. You must arrive early if you want to park and get a picnic table.
Park is in rough shape. Needs heavy maintenance/renovation, BUT its a great stop on the trail for kids to stop at the playground. Especially good for kids ages 3 to 8. Park also features excellent river views and good fishing or put in spots.
Great place for the family and small gatherings.
Great place to relax and picnic.
Fantastic place to spend a weekend. Be prepared to park on the road side, get stuck in the mud or git ticketted if you are a bit on the pavement.
Another lovely place for quick relax, fun under sun, walk, trails, row, run, tubing, kayaking, barbeque, volley ball, cycling, fishing, picnic, foodtrucks.. wat not...
Well shaded during the day, amazing views, great access
Small park, good playground & park area. Enjoying some swing tome with my granddaughter.
Ive been at Azalea Park for almost a year and a half, although moving to Ga was different, I feel Im at peace when Im at home. The leasing staff is amazing Eric, Glowin, Tara and Shavon. The customer service here has improved tremendously with this team. They give you callbacks when maintenance cant get to your maintenance orders. I love it here I highly recommend.
Parking is a fair distance from the boardwalk, but the sidewalks leading to the boardwalk are tree covered and wide. Fairly busy, plenty of picnic tables, a few birds and some grassy areas along the water.
Nice park but finding a parking spot can be challenging.
Always a great place to be.
Play structure is a bit old. Looked dirty. But, the park is by the river ...
Nice for tubing and walking
So beautiful and the weather was cloudy and nice
Beautiful. And when on the river, you can see the bottom. In up to, about 5 feet deep. Very small rapids. Cool party spot along the way!
Nice place to go for a walk!!!
Park is more for bigger kids however, my little man had a blast!
Beautiful spot. Has covered and non-covered picnic tables. Small but cool playground. Its on the Roswell Riverwalk, which is great. Needs restrooms!
Cutest walk next to the Chattahoochee River. It has a nice book bank as well.
Very nice place...
Really dirty and unsafe park. Lots of uneven sidewalks and unkempt areas. If the was a private business the city would shut it down in a heartbeat.
Best wash and fold around. Have used off and on for 20 yrs. Great job, polite and efficient owners. They take any request and will get pounds of dirty laundry, clean, folded and back to you in just a couple hours.
Great place to go Kayaking
I just want to say that Azalea Park apartments was probably my smoothest, most nicest apartments I ever stayed in. Eric who works in the office was very kind and helpful(I do refer him to any future residence). He really made us feel at home and made the process happen within a week!!! I love this place and can really see my self growing here!! Thanks Eric again for all your help!!!
Parking can be difficult during peak season. If you park on Azaela street on the opposite side from the river, make sure to park completely in the grass and not a tire on the pavement. Police will (and should) ticket cars parked on the bike lane. Recommend a small SUV or Jeep as some areas have steep banks to park on.
Nice place for nature walk, kids playground, bird watching, and paddle boat rental
Nice walking trail. Good view to the river. The playground is very old though.
Just an incredibly beautiful walk/run.
Great place to exercise, have fun and bring the kids.
Great for the morning walk
Love the new walk over the swamp to the rivers edge. Nicely populated, conveniently located & very well maintained
Beautiful place for walking around, picnic, kayaking or boating.
Good place to do outdoor activities. Walk, bike, row boats, barbeque, ect.
It’s a beautiful park!!! So nice. The trails are great, the park is good for kids and the view is so nice. I’m glad it’s so close to home!
Beautiful Park nice scenery.
Love coming here to this gem of nature in Atlanta. But fair warning, Roswell cops use this area to generate revenue from parking tickets.
We enjoyed our visit here and the ducks
Great for putting in to go tubing or kayaking because they have a small ramp, a dock and restrooms.
Best outdoor layout for family fun, physical activities including walking trails, rowing and more.
If you love the chattahoochee, then youll enjoy this section.
Roswell has great parks and this one is right by the river.
Great to spend time with kids and have fun
Very relaxing fall walk near the water.
A place to cool off a hot day. You can row, sail and do your barbecue
A great park to visit if you have children. They have jungle gyms and swing sets, and they also have open picnic tables. If you want to spend a beautiful afternoon outside and having fun, this is the place to check out!
My experience with azalea park office staff was great. I told Eric that I had a time frame to be moved in and he made sure I met my deadline. His customer service blew me. He treated me like I was important. My apartment was clean, nice carpets and appliances. I would recommend my family and friends to live here. Thank you so much Eric.
4 shots in 2 hours, sunny, fog on the river after beautiful rain, rainbow and sunset. Amazing!
Floods pretty heavily during rain but otherwise its a decent area to relax with friends.
Peaceful. Clean. Great walk, jog, bike, meditate.
Beautiful park. For a family outing
Part of the Roswell Riverwalk Trail System, this park is awesome. I feel safe going here, as there are so many frequent and familiar faces, including the workers who really work hard to keep the park clean after people come and trash it all up (despite there being a million trash cans all over). The Chattahoochee River brings it all together and makes it a peaceful walk where different varieties of birds can be seen as well as wildlife. Ive seen chipmunks, raccoons, opossums, and even deer while walking along in this park. There are nice, clean restrooms and a private restroom with a changing table for mom ; or dad, and baby. There are 3 different sized water fountains. Two are people sized and one is a doggy water fountain. This park is also right in the vicinity of Atlanta Rowing Club, Shoot the Hooch, and only a few minutes away from the Chattahoochee Nature Center. There is a playground for children that also has a Little Free Library that is usually decently full of books.
It was extremeley fun: even though my soccer kept going the water it was fun!
Just a Nice place to Bring the Kids .... Place needs some updating but I like river !
Small park, pavilion and boat dock. We came here for a short outside religious gathering, so what could be near the river. Pretty - we fed the ducks.
Great experience! Great location and even greater staff! Affordable family fun. Parking is extremely limited so car pool if you have a large group.
Great place to spend time with tee h Family
Beautiful place to visit
The pavilion seemed to be a nice location to host a rehearsal BBQ the night before our wedding, but there were gnats (some other small flying insect) everywhere and on everything. I called the office number on my contract for assistance, but all they stated was that the lawn maintenance staff had gone home for the day and I could check out another pavilion and move. At that point we were already cooking and had sent out exact location for guests. I sent a follow-up email a week later and no one ever followed-up with me about my concerns. I would just caution anyone who plans to pay to rent to keep in mind that it may not be ideal for hosting an event if the gnats are a constant problem. I expected to have some flies and insects because we were outside, but this was a serious infestation.
It is mot clean like other parks, not recommended for kids
Best weekend go to place!
Beautiful walking trail
Great place to launch water crafts, picnic, or go for a walk or run.
Nice place for kids and for Photography..
Great park love it
The place is great but there are several parts of Azalea Park and so it might be a good idea for people to be able to know which Pavilions or parts of Azalea Park for people to pick up or drop off at the areas. Otherwise I had a great first time. The bathrooms are sanitary although they do lack a coat hanger or stuff like that but then again this is a park not a business building so I dont believe thats to be expected so that does not in any way affect my positive review of the place. And speaking of views, The View is terrific. Definitely was cloning and therapeutic watching the geese and ducks you could definitely do yoga or meditation, even at Pavilion 1.
Beautiful boardwalk! So clean!
Amazing park, river front, picnic spot and play ground for kids. Perfect spot for an evening getaway for kids.
Gorgeous walk beside the river
Great place to put in the kayak
Peaceful. River. Birds. Go!
Love walking here
Try not to park on the street. Even if you are all the way off of the pavement, you may get ticketed. Its a terrible parking situation.
Bring a boat or enjoy the Greenway. Not a whole lot else going on here
Went here for a grilling picnic. Nice shady spots and a beautiful view of the lake. Our only complaint is that the trash was overflowing.
Miles of walking paths along the river and free parking. The view is outstanding with Geese, rowers and kayaks passing by on the river. Peaceful and pet friendly.
Staff was friendly but the location is meh
Very nice place for all ages
Beautiful venue for family fun, right on the Chattahoochee River, with access to boat ramp, restrooms, playground, grills and more.
An amazing Roswell River walk place alongside Chattahuchi river.
Love this park! Great walking/running, biking plus has a playground for the kids. Right on the river. Only downside is it can get some what crowded
