All the beautiful brick walls were wonderful for the photos. I am so happy that I those this beautiful park to get my maternity photos taken at. It isn’t a hard walk to get down to the river especially being 8 months pregnant. I would highly recommend this gorgeous spot if you are looking for rustic backdrops for photos.

Wow excellent place to hike. There’s so many different trails. Really cool waterfalls and hiking trail along river. A lot of up and down hills. I did get lost at the end lol and had to go out on street and put in Google how to get back to my car but will worth it. On the other side of the river there’s swing benches. ️

Old Mill Park was one of the parks that were close without having to drive approximately 2 hours. We came on a Sunday morning before noon. Parking was easy, with plenty of parking spots. Certainly come early! It gets packed around 1 - 2 pm.Park has a covered bridge to start, you would hike up and continue on the trail. We had looped around the park and eventually came to waterfall. Wow, what a view. When you come up close, theres a natural stairway that would lead you down to a set of rocks close to the waterfall. Someone was even bold enough to walk atop the dam regardless of the signs to stay off the dam. If you want a faster route to the waterfall, take the walkway downhill for easy access. Old Mill is a dog-friendly and kid-friendly park.

A nice park in a wonderful location! This park is very straight forward with the trails. If you just want to see the waterfall then take the trail on the left side. It will lead you to the waterfall. I enjoy finding a rock to sit on and read or take pictures. Many venture down to the base of waterfall but I am not as daring. If you take the path to the right you will walk through the covered bridge. This leads to all the trails. The trails are nice for trail running as they are for the most part pretty flat. There is a trail that leads to the waterfall where you can look down at it or venture to the bottom. Caution: it is very slippery and I have seen many fall. Overall, it is a good park and I like that you can choose how strenuous you want to make it. My only reason for taking a star away is the amount of trash that is now on the trail for it becoming more popular.

Great park. When you can access it. When I went here for the second time, there was a private event so we had to leave. Why not post private events dates on the website so we can know to not show up on those days? Other then that, when you can access it, its a very beautiful park with a nice water fall. And scenery. I would recommend this park. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because We had to leave after noticing a sign that said no public parking, private event.

This is definitely in my Top 5 local parks. The history is so fascinating, its well-maintained and respected, and a practicing photographers dream. Not to mention, the variety of having seven miles of different trails to hike gives it great revisitation value; Ive even seen weddings held on the bridge, and they look exquisite. Absolutely beautiful.

This is hands down the most beautiful park I have ever been to! But Parking is terrible on Saturday. There is a parking lot up the street at the visitors center which is where I parked. I highly recommend parking there as it is difficult to turn around in the small triangular parking lot actually at the park and it is too crowded with people trying to find non-existent parking spaces. Even with all that mess its still five stars because the scenery is just breathtaking especially in the fall. Theres lots of informational plaques telling about the rich history of the old mill during Civil the War. Well worth the trouble in the parking lot. I would definitely bring my friends and family back here for hikes or dog walks.

Theres a proliferation of signs with arbitrary rules and a Disney-fication of what used to be some semi-dangerous fun for the mischievous but once you get past the gentrified facade of the park, into the forest, and away from the people, the locale is quite spectacular with an extensive system of trails. Watch out for snakes near the water and dogs off the leash.

I have been recently to Old Mill park (June 2019 ) . Trash, garbage spread all over the river shore, even pieces of clothes. Good improvements on those steps by the bridge. It seems someone added more pipelines crossing the river and it smelled horrible near those pipes. Took way the idea of perfect paradise - Anyways, it is a gorgeous river and a wonderful park. Folks please pick up your own trash.

Nice trails, well shaded and sunny. Somewhat accessible for those with mobility issues. Restroom in the brick building below the hill (had to find it ourselves). The signage for trail routes, boundaries and facilities could be improved or updated, pretty basic. A bit crowded but plenty of trail options to get away from the attraction of the falls. Beware of the photo shoots happening along the bridge and near the old brick building near the entrance.
