My kids and I love coming here to give seed to the ducks and geese. They also enjoy the park. The park could use some better landscaping, but we still enjoy the park as it is. The water is nice to look at and I like the path that goes around.

We came across this looking for somewhere for my toddler to play while my mom booked a hotel. We got there and i didnt even realize until a good half hour later there was a playground. We were greeted by all the ducks and geese, so i grabbed some food we had, my daughter who had to have surgery the next day had so much fun feeding them and chasing them, then i finally saw the playground, which she did like 30 rounds on the slides, and then we went back to the birds for a good while. The playground is away from the birds, so i would highly recommend this place as a playground or to go feed the critters. Im really happy we found it.

Great place, just dont like the ban on feeding geese. But, if you do feed the geese, dont feed them bread!! It kills them and is very unhealthy. Birdseed and corn is good. And they love mealworms!

Nice place, fun to be with the family. There are ton of Canada geese, but please dont feed them. There is a huge sign asking people to do not feed the birds and some people still do it Also be respectful and keep it clean. Beautiful park next to the river with trails to run, ride your bike or simply enjoy a walk, free parking and you can also find some picnic tables.

Very nice park, well kept but would have given it 5 stars but Bathrooms were very dirty and stalls had no doors, then family restroom had no lock on door, then the walk was full of geese poop. But otherwise beautiful views and nice shrubbery / Flowers

Great 1.7 mile hike with beautiful places to take pictures. Close to home and easy walking/ biking paths.

Love this park and the trail around it. I had back surgery at Mayo and Im using it to rehab on. Were from Alaska.

Rented bikes and biked around the lake, it was a lot of fun though the bike trails could use some repair.

We rented a paddle boat there and went on the river. The prices were reasonable and we had a good time. Beware of geese! They are pests.

Its still just as nice as it was 25 years ago

The park is pretty fun I hung out there with a few friends, and took my kid cousin there.

Love going here. We bring a bag of bread and it is like the geese and ducks know. They swarm you. They are fun to feed. Plus there is a nice little park. Like how you can rent paddle boats and canoes. Something to do with kids or with ur love one.

We werent expecting the ducks and geese, 22 month old was wowed so much she didnt even notice the playground!

My son loved seeing all the geese. The play area is in a more shaded area. Its clean and people were all friendly

Ive been coming here since I was a little girl. There used to be machines with healthy corn and Grains for the public to feed the geese but for some reason they took it out and now people are feeding the geese and Ducks food that is not healthy for them. But this is a wonderful place to bring your kiddos and your family very relaxing and a great place to take a nice walk

It is a great park that brings me back to my childhood. It has beautiful trails all year round and the childrens park is good for a wide range of ages. Wear your play shoes because theres LOTS of goose poop !!!

Great park in the middle of the city, close to almost everything. Connected very well to the trail system, awesome for running and viking. Has some nice spots for picnics and BBQs.

Beware of goose poop everywhere! Your not allowed to feed the geese here anymore, this was one of the things my kids loved to do now its not allowed. The playground is still in good condition, but currently they are working on a Bridge nearby which causes a lot of construction background noise which is pretty annoying if your coming here to relax. Great place for biking, but like I said earlier there is a lot of geese poop so just have to accept the fact that you might be flinging geese poop on your back while riding through here.

I didn’t visit the entire park, but the space we did see was not a great site. I’m sure it’s because of the geese, but all of the grass areas are covered with weeds. Meanwhile, the mess the geese leave behind is ALL over...and makes walking very difficult. It would be nice if the excrement could be cleaned more often than it is.

Theres a playground, bathrooms and a walking/running path that goes around the small lake. There were a lot of Canada geese, which meant the grassy areas were full of s*** and unpleasant. There are better parks in Rochester to visit. I suggest ya let that one marinate.

This park is really nice and alot to do for fun.

Its a pleasant, attractive outdoors environment with an easy-to-navigate, nearly-two-mile walking/jogging path around it. Yes, theres goose poo there, and beautiful geese and ducks to watch and observe as you walk that nice, relaxing path.

Its a beautiful park for everyone. They have paddle boats and a childrens park. And plenty of geese. Beautiful place!!!

The paved walk around the lake is about 3 miles. There are plenty of places to take a rest and for being in the city the scenery is pleasant. Canada geese are frequent in a few places so the pavement can sometimes have some slick spots but it is still a pleasant place in a city to take a stroll.

The silver lake has walkways, cute little bridges, a couple great spots to sit and see the lake,. Biking, walking, and running doiuromg day light as the sun sets it can have a spectacular view.

It is a great place to walk and meet people, only complaint is the goose poop that’s literally about everywhere, but hey, it’s nature and you can’t blame them!

One of my favorite places to walk because it goes all the way around the lake. Youll love it too!

I was bitten by a goose and I saw an alligator in the water, I love this pond, it is very inclusive.

Once round this place I think is about 2 miles nice walk under an hour

I have always liked this park. Lot of water and running/walking trails. When I worked in rochester, I would go and eat by the lake. I have also went there to run, walk; After a very long time I returned to rochester, and went for a walk around the trail Yesterday. I saw something that really spooked me. There was an ethnic guy that had a huge beard, He took my video as I was walking by. Specifically pointed the camera at me and took my video. Very strange. Then there was another guy just very aggressively walking toward people. Another old guy was just standing there as people just walked by. I hope these weird guys dont threaten and spook people that are going about their business. I give 5 stars for the trail itself but not sure about those weirdos.

Long walking trail, and nature. Has access to rest areas along the path for those who are little and cant complete the path, or anyone else who struggles with long walks.

Peaceful but was a lot better when the geese were there year round and you could feed them. The geese that are there year round would eat right out of your hand.

Rented a paddle boat, fed the geese, played at the park. Kids loved it. Reasonable price on the boats. Brought our own bread for the geese, playground is always free.

Just a peaceful place to commune with gods creatures

This man made lake just gets prettier as the seasons go on. Its a little muddy in the spring, but once the wild flowers start coming in, the beauty explodes. Wildlife is everywhere, from Canada geese to mallards to herons to turtles to song birds and more. Walking and bike paths surround the lake and continue for miles, to take you all around the city of Rochester.

Reasons to enjoy this area of Roch #1 a 1.1 mile path #2 relatively scenic and family friendly #3 water fowl. Similarly there is bird stool everywhere. As Roch grows this place will need renovations and addititonal attractions.

Lovely park with plenty of options. Walking and bike path, paddle boats, a couple of parks, park pavilions, picnic areas, and the geese!Do be prepared for messy sidewalks and some greenspaces as geese gotta do their thing. Lake water isnt the cleanest, but still a lovely place to go and spend the day, or a few hours, in Rochester.

Ducks geese ducks geese ducks geese....quack!!!! We bought a loaf of bread for a buck...for a duck...and fed the poor deprived flocks. It was kinda fun. Probably would be good for the town to cut down to about a hundred fowl, they were in the thousands!

Silver Lake Park is an excellent place to bring the whole family for a fun filled day with lots to do! They have a huge park for all ages, plenty of space for barbecuing, picnicking, running around and the pool is awesome too, with a kitty pool and a full size pool with slide not to mention bike ramps! You could spend the whole day there with the family!
