Fresh air & sunshine, a warm lake breeze, bird watchers paradise, and some pretty awesome fishing. A marina for boater enjoyment and a park with indoor/outdoor pavillion. Hiking trails for nature lovers have much to offer. Great area all in all!

They could use more restroom placement but other than that, its great!

I was in Rochester for the Clothesline Festival and before I went home I went exploring the Braddock Bay Wildlife Management Area. Part of this area is actually a state park which does not show up on Google Maps. I did not see any wildlife. No birds or butterflies. The swampy areas were, of course, muddy so dress accordingly. Parking was free. Watch your speed along the Parkway because the troopers were taking pictures. After being at Braddock Bay I drove up Edgemere Road and took some pictures along the lake shore. Braddock Bay also has a boat launch. I did not see any restaurants nearby. I doubt I would visit again on my next visit to Rochester.

We were blessed with witnessing the process for capturing, banding and releasing a hawk! The volunteers took great care to not harm the birds. They took time to teach us about the various birds of prey in the area and help better identify where to find them. Highly recommend!

Loved it here... a little wild and rough, but thats the fun of the place. Plus being hidden away means its never crowded.

Beautiful wild area for hiking and exploring. The raptor banding and birdsong banding areas are a great resource, as are the specialty hikes they offer throughout the year. Its near the lake and marshlands, so it can get quite swampy, but worth a visit if you like hiking in areas less frequented.

Great place to bring your dogs. Has a nice scenic over look out Braddocks Bay. The best time in my opinion to go here is in the fall when the leaves start changing colors

Gorgeous place. Worth noting there are multiple park/destinations here. My first two times were at Burger Park which is also part of the management area. So be aware there are at least two separate adventures at Braddock Bay!

Amazing beautiful place to see.....

I enjoy this place and visit frequently. Its a good place to relax and take my dog for a walk.

The excavator that was digging potholes and channels to them could have done a better job. U can NOT get to them . Buck pond they did good but Braddocks is a joke what a wasted of money on that project. Cant do it right dont do it at all. Lots of acres of cattails still would be nice to see bigger potholes.

Always enjoyable and a great place to be during bird migration.

Decent fishing in the right conditions. A little loud with the parkway but otherwise, okay.

Love this area, it seems to improve in water quality every year. Great for kayaking, putting your boat in at the newly renovated boat launch( not extremely deep in the bay), and for its small beaches outside of the bay. Construction is going on and this makes parking a little more cumbersome due to the longer walk, but its worth it!!!

Easy trail, dirt road. If you follow the road its 2.1 mile loop with side trails for longer options. Got to watch for Coyotes at night.

I love nature, and these wildlife protected areas are very important to our environment. They bring much to those who enjoy, hobby and study wildlife and nature preserve areas.

Nice boat launch although the parking for the boat launch is is not very good

This is a really fun place to kayak if you like variety. There are two creeks running off the bay with numerous little trails into the marsh...you can explore for hours. Fairly calm water. The bay itself has some quiet spots but also more open water with movement and swells near the mouth, depending on wind conditions. The breakwalls make some interesting and sheltered spots to paddle, with a few sandy areas where you can pull up and enjoy the shallows. If wind and water are fairly calm and you are confident with your kayak, its a blast to go out on the lake and ride the waves along the shoreline! Always be mindful of weather conditions and very cautious about going out, especially when kayaking solo. Stay near shore.

Stopped by to do a little fishing. Nice place to relax.

Need more trail management in the back wood area. Nothing has been done to these areas in several years. It is a shame to see them over grown.

Its quite and peaceful most of the time and theres usually not a lot of people which make it good for relaxing.

Lake level has flooded the shore making it a muddy mess launching your kayak.
