Very pleasant walk around a pretty lake. A good paved alternative to our usual wooded trail hikes when theres melting snow and mucky conditions.

Beautiful park for the kids. Great place to swim. Huge beach. Definitely recommend a visit. Even if you dont wanna hang at the beach there are awesome walking trails. All paved.

Busy, but a great park and beach! The water was amazingly warm and clear. Had a great time with the family. The only unattractive part was the goose poop on the sand. Not an attractive aspect. Plenty of parking and a lovely location.

We had never been here before, and I believe its Rochesters newest playground park. Theres a bigger playground thats like an obstacle course for the oldest kids and limber adults, as well as an accessible slide, a musical trail, rain garden, and even a play river with gates and dams downstream from a kid-friendly pump. This place is great, and may become our favorite park for kids ages two to teen. The too cool for the park 12-year-old is probably going to be jealous they didnt come.

Walking by the lake is the best part. In October the colors are spectacular all around the path. We enjoyed it a lot.

The park is a lovely idea! Theres a fun and unique playground, several resting areas and a big sand beach. It should have been a terrific place to swim and cool off. Instead we found it to be infested with geese and their droppings and contaminated with bacteria from the geese! The place smelled and the water was disgusting! There was a sign warning people not to swim. Im not sure what the point of building the lake was. Did we just build another havan for the geese in this town? This is our third trip to the beach. The first time was nice. The second time was so-so and this time with disgusting!

Love this park! The walking paths are wonderful. My grand kids love the equipment.

The park is excellent. Beautifully landscaped and there are fun toys for kids. The beach was pretty bad. It seems like an industrial dump lake and then the geese are pooping all over it. Probably was never a good idea to put a beach here. First the drowning, then the high bacteria levels. Maybe they should just close it for good.

Very family orientated facility! Has a park with a nice fountain, a place to lock up your bike securely, and a water spout to wash off your feet. The beach is nice and well maintained.

Nice little spot, free parking, nice beach. Could use a changing station and a real bathroom. Dont trust google maps to get you there. From hwy 52 headed down 2nd street, turn right on 23rd ave.

Went there for the first time today. Allong with offering trails, fishing, picnicking, and the swimming beach, theres a cool landscaped area for a short walk. They just put in some locally made artwork. One thing concerns me though, a girl sliced her foot badly today. Some idiot thought it would be ok to throw broken glass in the swimming water.

I can had fun going around the lake on one of those electric scooters. There was almost nobody else there around noon. I tried fishing for a little while, but no luck. I see some finger size minnows swimming about. Most of the shoreline is unreachable because of brush. Theres goose and duck poop everywhere. The water is gross looking. Theres zero shade. The beach area is currently fenced off.

Decent walking and running path but parking is a real pain and this was supposed to be more developed years ago. Seems like real Rochester boondoggle and some city officials got swindled by whoever was supposed to develop it. Been hearing for years that its going to be this great place.

Hidden little gem in Rochester, MN. The trail around the lake is always busy with dog walkers, bikers, runners and people just enjoying the scenery. They have areas for easy access fishing. Its 3 miles around the entire lake. Very well kept.
