It was great to see the community provide a safe way for kids to still have a Halloween experience. The people were all dressed up and extremely friendly, handing out candy and treats and complimenting the kids costumes and taking pictures! Lots of fun and smiles. Many nearby communities had similar events. We all have been hit hard with problems created from the virus, children more so in some ways than others. All our lives have been turned upside down! Between school and playgrounds closing, no visits with family and friends etc. there is the age factor in that the level of understanding and confusion varies. There is no way to console a two - ? year old.

Used to be my library growing up. They have turned it into a great space for families to use.

This is one of my new favorite go-to places for me and my kids. Theres a giant space inside for all kinds of activities, tables for school work if you homeschool, pool table, shuffle board, an area for dance, couches with a TV, and most of all - a large play area with giant mats, play houses, toys everywhere, huge foam blocks to build structures, small roller coaster tracks and cars that kids can ride, and Im sure much more that didnt even notice. Its totally FREE to the public and I here that its really inexpensive to rent for a larger party - which I would highly recommend.

We come here often, its a great place to socialize your young ones. The only thing is the toys dont look like they are cleaned daily or lysoled. It is a free place to take your kids under 5 so its nice d in that aspect but would like it if they replace batteries and cleaned them daily to avoid illnesses amongst the young ones. We have donated before and still havent seen our items circulated in the play area, found it odd because our items were brand new. There is also a nice eatting space and they do birthdays.

I loved this center for the kids. And moms can create groups for children to hang out with thier friends and moms can make new friends. Also this place was great to plan a birthday party

Wonderful place. Great place for kids of all ages. Free! They have a bathroom with a changing area and tables to eat at.

The town of Gates does a wonderful job with their recreation department.

The staff is amazing. The Gates town parks are very nice and reasonably priced.

The Gates Rec Dept offers classes, tours, day trips, Euchre Tournaments, Family Fun Events, Park and Shelter rentals. The list is endless. Great staff. They enrich the Gates Community! We are lucky to have them!

Very nice moms play group

The people here are so awesome. Very sweet. They are great with my little one.

I was there last Saturday for the housing fair and had a good time. It was a great event. I received good information to help me find a house.

Participant since 2013. Excellent play area for preschoolers!Fun programs to get the youngsters involved in. Thanks gates rec for all the family friendly activities.

Great summer camp for kids

Nice place in my own backyard. Never even knew it existed.

Ive been here a few times dont know a lot about it but the section Ive been Ive helped with community service and its a great place for what I had to do.

Very helpful. Signed up for garage sale. Played pool and fuss ball.

Clean and fun for the kids

Its a nice little park with a couple pavilions and a building you can rent. Normal playground features as well as tennis and basketball courts.

Nice, new facility. Old library area has been converted to a recreation center.
