This building sings of a time when jazz was played and recorded by the greats. Today, it is completely open inside and the brick exterior brings charm to events and the new winter farmers market. It is also a great place to do some family photos or senior pictures.
Take my 2 yr old grandson daily just walk, loves looking at every thing.
Good history building I think its an old piano shop
Its so beautiful to look at. The whole property just to walk on the trail is truly amazing!
Beautifully historic and trails a plenty for nice strolls or jogs or pictures with the beastie with some awesome backdrops to make you even more gorgeous
Gathered for a protest. Beautiful grounds though. Well set up for community use
Nice piece of history within a beautiful park.
Its a nice place to learn history and see nature
Nice, quiet place. This nice little historical site is marked by info plaques and some artistic works, highlighting some of the most well-known artists who recorded at Gennett. Whats left of the building can now be used for events. Theres also a quiet, paved trail nearby that crosses the creek and follows along the road above.
Nice place to walk around and learn about history
Beautiful park with historical landmarks and rich history of early record recordings of famous artists that travelled up the river. Paved walking trail along the river about 1.7 miles long. Saw an eagle last January.
My granddaughters wedding was outside with the reception inside. Very large, open, clean facility with wheelchair accessible entry, nice bathrooms. Pleasantly surprised. Large parking area. A great place for large gatherings.
Nice place honoring the history of recorded jazz in Richmond, IN.
Good area for exercise!
My family and friends attended the free concert that was held here over the weekend and it was awesome the Sean Lamb band played they had a projector setup that was playing old photos and video of richmond and its deep history. The building here are very old and the medallions that are embedded in the walk are amazing to see.
Neat place Take a walk on the trail south of the building, offers a lot more history to the building and area.
Beautiful area! Have local theatre productions that go on here, as well as live music! Loads of fun.
Still an amazing piece of history
The pioneers of jazz recorded on these very grounds!
Nice history lesson and place to relax and walk
Good scenery. Nice and quiet
Wonderful place to stop, take in the scenery, and dream of the amount of dollars that could be brought to the city. In the right hands a piece of Richmonds history could give back in so many ways. I personally love to visit this area.
Great place for a walk or a picnic. Theres benches as well. Need some cameras installed for the low lifes destroying the tributes to the artists due to the copper in them.
Cool deal they did down there with the walk of fame in place it is a nice spot to visit some history of Richmond IN
History wish there was more on site
What potential this place has because of all the magical history it has. I wish someone would add music to it and really good, captivating signage! If it were Disneyfied it would be packed!
A awesome fireworks show and great entertainment and food
Great band. Awesome fireworks!
Interesting history. Not too much left to see. Too much had been torn down. Thanks to our wonderful guide we got all the neat information about the place. He actually brought it alive again with his enthusiasm and knowledge.
Very nice venue for weddings or partys.
We stumbled upon this while driving from Illinois to Ohio. What an unexpected and exciting find! For piano and music lovers alike, this one of a kind tribute was a quaint step back into yesteryear. I hope the city does more with this park in the future-music venues, piano shows...next time I am in the area, I will stop by again. Thanks for the adventure.
Love it awsome place of history back when Richmond was a city...booming city
The Walk of Fame is such a beautiful collection of portraits! I had no idea some of these jazz greats actually recorded right here in Richmond.
We love it here. Whether were taking a walk or spending some time fishing, its one of our favorite places.
Nicely preserved what was left of this old building and historic part of Richmond
Beautiful trail. Love the Starr Gennett medallions.
Beautiful space and park! Was here for Richmond Shakesphere Festival, quality performances. Will be back next summer!
Love the music history! Great place to rent for a wedding or party. The records and historical markers are wonderful. Perfect place for a picnic.
Haunted but in a pleasant way. Would love to have gay picnic here. 10/10 as abandoned piano factories go
The amphitheatre is a recycled historical building but it has developed a wonderful place for entertainment and for nature lovers as well
We went for a wedding it was chilly due to the weather, but is was beautiful.
This is a great space. Its used in the summer as a location for Richmond Shakespeare Festival but can be rented for events. Theres also a walk with spaces to show the history of the recording greats who recorded at the Gennett Record Label.
This is a really neat place. If you are in town, I suggest you go and check it out.
