This chapel is a memento of Richmond and the space it occupies in the history of this nation, though it will probably be understood in a manner that misappropriates a direction that the Confederate states had occupied at the time of its inception; no doubt the challenges of considering its reputation in a different age is likely to upset many. If talking about museums it is likely an important foundation of the culture. Ive noticed many of the stain glass windows have (likely been broken out) and replaced with regular glass. No matter what it represents to an individual, it is still an important representation of a time and place lost in time.
Very beautiful, solemn place.
A beautiful piece of history in Richmond. Only wish they would restore the flags they once had on the portico.
Anyone who goes here, check yoself

Very interesting and pretty chapel, all that remains of the Confederate soldier retirement home grounds that the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts now occupies.
