This is a great park. We enjoyed looking out over the lake - or is it a pond? - The Rose garden was exceptional - lots of color variety, healthy roses, no weeds - a lovely walk looking and smelling the wonderful roses.
Wonderful Family Park, lots of things to do. Plan some time if you are visiting the area. Frisbee golf, kids play area, golf, lake and hiking. Concert area, tennis courts, many places to picnic. And stunning Rose Garden.
There is a sign on the restroom door that says the restrooms are open from 9 am to 8 pm weather permitting. I arrived at 9:10 and the restroom wasnt unlocked. It was 48 out at 9:17.I called the city building and was told the building to my left was the park building and they may let me use their restroom. When I arrived I was told someone was coming and that they received the call. As nobody had arrived swifly, I went back to the window at 9:22. I asked if I could use their restroom. I was told no due to COVID. But they said someone was on their way.I called the city building back at 9:23 complain. The individual who answered was uninterested in allowing me to file a complaint. She stated that they didnt know which restrooms they started with. I asked if they told them I was at the ones at the playground. They said they did.Someone came looking annoyed and taking their precious time around 9:25. I told her I would just do a Google review since they didnt want to take my complaint and basically make excuses. The park itself is very nice. Ive come several times over rthe course of my 30 plus years of life. Ive enjoyed walking and swinging on the swings the past three days. But the customer service and following the signs posted by the park were lacking today.
Beautiful fun place safe and makes me feel comfortable bringing my kids to play.
One of the main attractions and parks in Richmond. I do tennis there. Theres a playground for kids. I tried part of the disc-golf course yesterday and loved it, would definitely do again. Theres a small lake with a fountain, picnic areas, a rose garden, golf course, and much more.
Fun, clean, and full of trees and flowers to enjoy hiking with the family. Great for picnics and feeding ducks. Bathrooms are clean and Rose Garden is tiny and beautiful.
There is a LOT of jacked up people in Richmond. This is the only place I dont see freaky deaky people. So its nice.
Some things need fixed but overall the kids love the park
Good disc golf course. Stays a bit wet with the springs there. Grass needs maintained a bit more but not bad by any means. Havent didnt time at the kids park but it looked like a nice place to take my son to
I have joy Glen Miller Park and resent I have been a child my mother used to take me there all the time to play and through the years I have took my children there too Glen Miller Park in the wonderful place 2 visit and have family get-togethers and I have enjoyed the Gatherings concerts in fireworks Etc
Great playground for the kids, a good sized lake/pond where you can feed dozens of ducks and geese, and a couple of places to walk around and enjoy nature. 9/10
Nice relaxation spot. But need to clean by the picnic table up the hill to the left by the spring... Do what you do peep, but pick up your messes. Some of us come through there with our kids....
Nice place to take the kiddos to play or just take a leisurely walk. There are always ducks and geese around or in the pond and you can take bread to feed them. Plenty of squirrels and birds to watch. They have a huge playground also for kids young and old. There are 2 springs where you can take plastic jugs and get fresh water and frisbee golf.
If you are looking for a quaint grassy knoll, look no further. My wife Judy and I came here in the golden hour for some outdoor yoga (Judy has been introducing me to more spiritual practices) and we found nothing short of the most picturesque hill that was being kissed by the sunset. Whether you are walking your dog or looking for a romantic picnic, Glen Miller Park is the spot for you.
Nice park, next time Ill have to bring my disks for the disk golf course.
Beautiful as always. Met at a shelter house, because several cousins were there. Driving through, many childhood memories came back.
I love the water fountain nice day and night !
Very nice park for the little ones! Even has a baby side! Lots of stuff to do PLUS A WATER PARK! cant get no better than that.
Glen Miller Park is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, municipal parks I know of anywhere. And I have traveled extensively. There are many quite places, a wonderful playground, a lake with fountain, picnicking galore, shelter houses, amphitheater, and I could go on and on.
Nice November day to eat in park.
A beautiful place to be with your family, my wife, kids and I actually play PokemonGo there.
Where I work rented a shelter it was half price because it was week day. We were by the pond and in the shade it was very nice
Its a good place to get close to nature and has a nice playground that kids can play on
Play ground needs attention with wood chips and table tops and benches worked on
Lots of trash scattered around places that need attention to. Would be beautiful if everyone took care of it
Loved the spring water by the bridge refreshing on a nice hot day
What a great park, spacious yet secluded. Can do anything and everything there, plus one of the best disk golf corses I have ever played. Every town should have a Glenn Miller Park
Very nice place to take the family out. Fiancé and I had our engagement party at the Charles House. It was charming yet simple. The rose garden was beautiful even with the gazebo in the center. Definitely will be visiting again soon
Love running my RCs at the skatepark
Park is always beautiful any time of year
I love this place! Very nice place to take the kids to play.
Glen Miller Park has a nice playground for children to play. There are many picnic and shelter areas for family gatherings. The pond is lovely and families like to feed the ducks and fish there. Glen Miller Park is a nice place to jog or take relaxing walks. I always enjoy my visits to Glen Miller Park.
Park is beautiful and many trees to share walking areas. A pond is centralized with ducks and geese for feeding and enjoying views.. a very large playground is available for children with a spray zone to stay cool. Outdoor barbecue areas available and some under a roofed open side area that you can reserve for parties. Hiking areas in woods, roads for biking and hiking. A pavilion where shows and concerts are held at times. Fireworks held in park on fourth of July. I have only a four star review because they no longer allow any dogs in the park.
Very well-kept. This is a wonderful park!
Peaceful wonderful place and I loved it was quiet and it was and it was perfect there
Surprising good little park. A nice little pond. Some fun play ground things for kid (and adults to play with them)
Such a nice playground. Lots for the littles to do.
A nice place to walk and take in the park.
Always well maintained and the parks department always works hard to keep everything looking nice. Great fireworks display every Fourth of July and other events in the summer.
Great for kids and family time
Nice place for a picknic lunch!
Always a nice park
We came to this park for the playground and splash pad. The playground was awesome. There was a great very little kid area (under 2) besides the bucket swings but for kids 2-12 it is great. A bunch of slides, things to climb, and lots of opportunities to run. The playground could use some more wood chips. The splash pad is pretty simple but my kids still loved it.
Its a Great place for our children and gchildren and ggchildren to go and play it would be nice if they could add more equipment for kids to play on and im sure they do they just dont want to at this time
Some of the best water ever tasted here out of the spring. They do a nice 4th of July show here also.
I love the park
Lots of playground to play on. Clean.
Its the largest, and nicest, park in Richmond.
Really let things go away here, no buffalo, monkeys and only stocked the fishing with catfish for last five years
Its a great park
Usually well maintained. Good drinking water also.
Nice place to have a get together
There is always so much to do here. The park is big and there is a splash pad several shelters to have a gathering or party at. You can go fishing here and make a fun family or date spending the day here.
Great place for a leisurely walk.
Still one of the best parks ive ever been too across the country.
Faborite place to walk. Drivers need reminding about speed limit and passing too close to walkers and runners.
Had a good visit at the park. I grew up going to the park. Some good changes I saw. Lots of places for a picnic.
This was a wonderful little park! And the kids loved the splash pad
Its a well put together place. Great for a day out with the family
For a park in a town that has its problems like any other they do a pretty good job of keeping it up. I love this park. It has changed so much over time, but its still a nice place to take your kids or take a walk. Relax on a summer day.
Great park !!
Great place to take the kids to play. They have a huge playground, a smaller playground for smaller children and a splash pad for the kids to play on. Plenty of are to take the kids or dogs for a walk too!
Quiet, peaceful good place to get a
There for a picnic with classmates
August movies awesome
Its a very nice park. Well kept, clean and quiet for the most part. Have restroom facilities, one next to the kids playground and splashpad. Disc golf, grills available, pavillons to rent, park office on location, spring water, etc. Nice park to relax and enjoy
Great place!
This is the park I grew up in and take my kids too as well. It is always very clean and well maintained.
Great playground structures, neat sound playground, pretty pond.
Great place to pray
Great water supply
Beautiful park. Disc golf course is excellent. Fresh spring water, bring jugs to fill.
Great place for a family outing especially if you have small children
Shady and family filled. Great place to walk the dogs or enjoy a quiet lunch.
This is a nice park, lots to do here. There is a playground for the little kids (age 1-5) with small slides and baby swings. In the same area there is a playground for the older kids to enjoy. In the summer they have a splash pad and concession stand. They also have a pond where we like to feed the ducks.
Good times
Great place to walk your pets and I had totally forgotten about the natural springs there. Going to be going there more often to get the spring water.
Nice park, great playground. My kids really loved the playground.
Visited the CityFit by Meridian Health Services event. For the areas I visited it was very clean and well maintained. Plenty of shade along the trails!
Very nice place, especially for the kids. Fresh water springs in the park, delicious water!!
This is a beautiful Park the nature is stunning the lake is gorgeous Ive lived in Richmond my entire life and this is still my favorite part I wish that the park services would pay more attention to it and do a little more with it but they only have time for so much its still absolutely beautiful the hiking trails are nice the the rentable structures are very nice and well-kept apart from the graffiti the toys are so much fun my favorite is the swings if you do visit this part please follow the signs please enjoy dont destroy and for the love of the Gods do not ever be in the park after 11 p.m. the police monitor regularly and will not hesitate to write you a trespassing ticket.
Great place to walk your
We enjoy the splash pad area of the playground. Lots of families taking part in the summer fun! The splash pad had a few non-working water features, but hopefully theyll be fixed quickly. The playground is quite large with lots to do for young ones (my kids are ages 4 and 2).
Overall a very nice place to bring your kids.People feed the racoons though and so they are almost tame and will come up to you looking for food. (Found that out on a picnic.
Gorgeous area, lots of places to walk to. Plenty of ducks and geese to feed or watch for amusement. My only complaint is that the park visitors themselves could do a better job of cleaning up after they throw a party.
Great place to walk, walk your dogs, it just get some sun. Also, there are 3 golf greens that are still kept up from the old course. They are perfect to practice your pitching and chipping. Also, theres a driving range that you can hit onto and then go out and shag your balls. Included pluses of the old course includes a green with surrounding Bunkers and a practice green to putt on. Also, the park has a natural spring where locals bottle water, tennis courts are also available. Along with a new play zone for children. In addition to the play zone, theres a water play land thats perfect for your kids and you to enjoy during the hot summer months. I practice my short game almost 3 days a week at Glen Miller. During summer break for your kids, Bo Van Pelt has put the old course to good use, being the home of The First Tee, a golf program designed by the PGA to help build the game in children. Giving them a safe and fun refuge to learn the fundamentals and rules of one of the oldest games played today! With Bos instruction, these kids are taught the correct ways to play golf. From the swing to golf etiquette, he is there to help kids have fun playing a game they can play the rest if their lives.
