Absolutely love this park. Great scenery, theres a full equipped playground, stationary workout equipment. I mostly sit on the steps and enjoy the city view and its refreshing

A park from my childhood. It once was Princess Anne Park. My grandfathers cousin own a house there. It is always lovely and has great views. Very nice park to relax, workout or just have fun with friends and pets! I am biased though.

Beautiful view of the city! Great to take your kids for the playset. Great for running and working out as they have some jungle gym type stuff. And great for a picnic or date night for the sunset!

This is a fantastic park with one of the best cityscapes and one of my favorite places to watch the sunset. There is new playground equipment and the kids love it! Only reason for 4 is that the city often neglects the landscaping around the stairs, which also need some love and repair.

So much fun! Theres usually not very many people there at one time, when we have gone anyway. Its extremely clean for a playground in the city. My little boy is OBSESSED with trains and one of the pieces of equipment is a train! And it overlooks the city train station! It has bathrooms..not port-o-potties, which is nice (but hopefully you have napkins or wipes bc there was no toilet paper when I went).

If you have little people, come here for awesome traffic and city views (big picture) and a play area fashioned after a train as well as a play area that has one of the boat style features. 3 slides, swing set area and an open field (unfenced) nearby as well for olders.....or adults who want to relax with a 4-legged friend, picnic maybe or even throw/kick a ball or badminton.#pictureswouldbenice

A good place to run, socialize or just sit and watch, on top of the mountain, overlooking both downtown Richmond and across the James River to southside as you hear and watch the trains pass by going to the train yard, cars cross the train tracks headed to shockoe bottom. Very peaceful, safe and serenity place to visit.

Went at dusk. Lots of cars so parking was tough. Many folks just hanging out by their cars and playing music. After walking around a bit I can say that many people think this is a great place to come and smoke weed. The view of the skyline is nice.

Just happened to be working in the area and decided to take a stroll for old times sake. Wow! It has been many years since Ive been there but it is a completely different park from what I remember. Clean, safe, nice enjoyable walk. Keep it up Richmond!

Nice and peaceful during the day. Closer to the sunset it lays out a beautiful skyline of the south side and a bit of the west end.

Scenary overlooking the city was amazing

Nice park with a wide open space for playing football, soccer, frisbee, whatever (although its not particularly level). It seems like the bathrooms are locked and the water fountains are turned off in the winter.

Its like a healing garden for Church Hill. Everyone is welcome, theres a water fountain, and a playground for the little ones, theres a workout trail with special equipment, and one of the most breathtaking views of Richmond. You can see as far as you can see! Its just beautiful!

I love the view and the playground is perfect for my wild 2 year old; she especially loved the fountain to dip her feet in as she looked at the view. Tons of space for picnics, I had no trouble street parking, but the bathrooms were completely unusable! The smell alone kept me away and the trash cans in front of the bathrooms were so full they were spilling on to the ground(it was only 5 pm when we got there). Hopefully they can fix their bathroom-trash problem and I can give it 5 stars!

One of the best views of the city.

Guide books may lead you to nearby Libby Hill Park, but the views at Jefferson Park are just as beautiful. Situated on a hill in the Union Hill neighborhood close to historic Shockoe Bottom, its a medium-sized park surrounding by beautifully restored homes. Theres a path along the edge showing off the Richmond downtown skyline. There are also two playgrounds side-by-side that our daughter loved. One is shaped like a train for smaller kids. The other is pretty big for toddler+ kids. If you get hungry, walk five minutes to nearby Union Market for a great sandwich and craft beer.

Fun little park. Two playground areas and a great view of downtown Richmond. Near Union Market where you can go for a great meal. Easy access to Shockoe Bottom. There are homeless and intoxicated people on occasion. Typically during the summer, but they are friendly and harmless. One of Richmonds best kept secrets

Great park to take your kids to with the playground there. And it is alos good for some exercise. They have several stations where you can do some stretching and body weight resistance exercises. The sidewalk that goes around the park is roughly 0.4 miles

Its a small park with some big views. In the spring and fall, the views are especially good, but beyond just looking out on the city, the playground is just the right size. Ive got little kids and theyre neither overwhelmed nor bored.Theres a fountain which is pretty in the warmer months, almost always visited by birds. A short jogging trail with workout stations circles the park. Ive also seen people exercise by just running up and down the steep stairs leading up from the bottom of the hill.Theres a fair amount of on-street parking both at the playground area and at the bottom of the hill. Its not a lot of parking, but its sufficient for a park this size.

I grew up on Princess Anne Ave. Right in front of the park. As a matter of fact we still own our house. Its a place where family can always come back to our family roots. Its always will be HOME TO ME.

My kids love the views of the city from here. one of the best in the city, would love to see the Confederate statue disappear though, they could put something more universal in its place

Another great place. Huge field for dogs to play around OR for a picnic OR for you to just lay in the grass. Its clean EXCEPT sometimes the bathrooms are gross. The water fountain water is lukewarm. But those are all the bad. The playground is fun for the kids. Ive seen people tie hammocks to the trees here. Its a beautiful area. Def visit here

A very nice & undiscovered city park. New playground equipment with a drinking fountain, restrooms, a fountain, & a good view of the Richmond skyline. It sits at the top of a hill and has park benches. A paved path around the outside middle of the hill has different workout equipment along the path. Lots of trees for shade & grass for lounging or picnics.
