Lovely city park with a wide breath of lawn. Has a great view toward the south side. Perfect for a run out walking the dog through. There are many locals that do entertain their off leash dogs here but there is also a dog park hiding just down the hill. Highly recommended.

With access to great views of the city, arguably some of the best actually in terms of fast landscape, this park really does offer a whole lot. Theres exploration trails, lawns, and enough space to feel amongst people but still safe during these uncertain times. Theres definitely a spirit in the air in this park! You can probably catch it towards dusk. Id highly recommend this as a after dinner walk from millies, pose, or the tobacco company.

Chimborazo park is great! And it has a statue of liberty that is almost the exact same size as the statue of liberty if you take into account that on the spectrum of size going from like the whole entire universe down the the subatomic, almost everthing in the universe is relatively farther from the size of the statue of liberty than the statue of liberty at Chimborazo park.

Great park to walk your dog, get in some yoga stretching or just enjoying the panoramic view down into the ridges below. In season, birding can be good as well.

Whilst I was on holiday here, I did not realise how close my accommodation was to this surprisingly important piece of history regards to the American civil war. The park is fairly large and overlooks the valley with some perfect spots to get some great photos. I would recommend anyone who is planning on doing the history of the area to visit the park. Especially the hospital. Which sadly was closed when I arrived at the park.

Large park with lots of gazebos and semi-hidden paths that take you up, down, and around. For older kids, this is a pretty cool park to explore because there are trails going down to other green spaces. For younger kids, there are no playgrounds (there are two nearby, but not in the park) and not much to do. Great for strolling around or walking the pets. Plenty of nice views from on high. After a good rain, bring your mud boots!

What a place to wake up your Civil War history! Incredible pictures and artifacts have been collected. We are very glad to have seen the place in which the Chimborazo hospital lay to help those who were wounded in the terrible war. Youll leave there with heart- felt admiration for the soldiers, doctors, nurses, and orderlies who served. Many homes in Richmond itself were opened up to the wounded.

It could get an easy 4th and 5th stars if they would concentrate on the road. Perhaps the nearby residents like it that way but the park should serve all patrons. The city of Richmond should rethink the sunset curfews. They make the parks friendly only to the nearby residents. You see them using the park at all hours.

Having seen the strongly positive reviews this park gets, I wonder what sort of dog parks those owners have had to tolerate! This is indeed a dog park, but it offers very little. Its small and theres nary a blade of grass surviving. Its on a very sloped lot and since its all dirt, I can only imagine the mud bath it must be after a rain storm. The only amenity it offers is one shaded picnic bench and a hose. Its quite difficult to find and there are only a few parking spots. I noticed many dogs being walked on the trail system and by-passing the dog park - I can see why. We just needed to run our mutt enough to put him in the car for the next leg of our trip, so the park worked for our purposes, but thats all I can say for it. Sorry, Richmond, hope you can get your officials to give you a bigger, better park some day.
