Visited last week with another mom and our 3 toddlers! This space is much nicer than the one in Chester/hopewell area and there are more bouncy house’s! We had a great time we went during the week and for most of our visit we were the only people there!!! Kids had a blast my only compliant is that parents can NOT jump/slide with their kids! I wanna interact jump and slide with my little. - not sure why it appeared to have a bad review at first! We had a great visit!!!
Originally, I went to visit Off The Wall to see about having my two year old sons birthday party there, from the time I met the owners and their family, I was SOLD on having the party there. I took my son 3 times before his actual party and each time was awesome. The staff and their children are so loving and open. Fast forward to the birthday party .. AMAZING! The staff was soooo helpful, literally they helped from the time we came rushing into the door at 5:43 (party scheduled for 6pm). WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! WILL BE BACK SOON.
We visited for the first time yesterday. When we arrived there was a young lady standing in front of a table with a thermometer and a clipboard. We were not greeted when we walked in the door. She asked if she could take our temperatures. I agreed. Then she asked us to sign the clipboard with a waiver and to take off our shoes. I informed her this was our first time here and asked where we could put our shoes looking for more direction from her, she just pointed to some shelfs off to the side. My kids were the only kids playing and had the whole building to themselves which was nice. The facility looked clean and well put together. I would like to see multiple signs clearly legible for children stating the rules of the facility as there arent any. My kids had fun and we are thankful this place was open during the pandemic so they could get some energy out.
The NASTIEST childrens indoor play area I have ever been. This place should be shut down, it is sad because it could be a lovely place but it is not taken care of. It looks like it is never cleaned, I didnt even want to take mine nor my child shoes off because the floors were disgusting, there was piles of built up dirt and dust bunnys everywhere, there was stick spills in so many places and they have the nerve to have a claw game that you pay for your child to try and win toys, and its full of dirty old toys. I couldnt believe I paid for my child to be allowed to play here, we stayed around 30 minutes, I took numerous pictures, picked up my very upset child for having to leave early and on my way out I asked what the cleaning procedure was and told the attendant I had never been in a childrens play area that gross. The floor is coming up in numerous areas which is a falling hazard to small children whom dont have the best balance, I wanted to bathe in sanitizer when I left. PARENTS DO NOT GO UNTIL THEY DECIDE TO CLEAN. I will never return, great idea but horrible upkeep. The attendant told me they sweep and mop daily, bull there was no one else there when we arrived, and this doesnt happen overnight!! I even offered to walk her around and show her areas that needed their attention, of course she declined and said shes not the owner. HORRIBLE BUSINESS. NOT WORTH THE MONEY the only reason I even gave one star is Im required in order to leave my review.
We visited for the first time this past week and were so impressed with the cleanliness of the entire facility, the friendliness of the staff, as well as the few families that were there. It was such a relief to see my daughter laughing, playing, and being able to enjoy being a kid during these challenging times.Thank you, OFF The WALL, for providing such a clean and FUN space for my kids to enjoy! ️️️️
We love this place for our 6 and 3 year old! Their new location is so clean, bright, spread out and gives kids lots of room to wiggle. We’ve visited during COVID and are always quickly greeted, checked for fever, offered hand sanitizer and signed in. It’s been been a nice place for me to sit still and have a total view of my kids playing. I’ve never been to a bouncy house place that is this clean. Bonus: it’s right next to Starbucks .
My Son Had His 3rd Birthday Party Here During COVID-19 Pandemic && It Was Wonderful! Safety Guidelines Was Met Down To Cleaning! It May Not Be Much For The Adults BUT The Kids Love It!
A fun place to bring the kids.
So Much Fun! Beautiful New Place with so much for Kids of all ages. Where else can you go and the kids play all day for $10.
Friendly staff..affordable
Had party here was great will go back my kids and party loved it even had characters come out and was all very helpful during party made sure we was satisfied
Very friendly staff and accommodating building was clean
They have changed names and run now under The Play RoomIt was a pleasant experience and great way to get the kids out of the house and but still be active on a rainy day. There were plenty of bounce houses, albeit showing their age with the amount of usage that some of then get. There are party rooms in back for booking and some small concessions up by the register if your feeling extra parched. It wasnt overly expensive but you can expect to in the region of 20 to 30 dollars for a family of five and pretty much let the kids have the run of the place. There is an area specifically for small children which is handy for little people not wanting to get bowled over by the older kids running around. The other toys and playthings are a bit dated and the three arcade style games they had were out of order at the time of our visit. Overall a good way to get the kids to let off some steam.
The place is well worth the money. The atmosphere is very warm. Family owned buisness. Offer nice discount for military family. Only problem Ive had both times I visited, is grown ups using the bounce houses. The staff always on seen seems to know whoever it is, allowing adults who are well over 100 pounds, into bounce house with children. Not safe. Other than that, a good way to spend a couple hrs!
This place is pretty run down. Definitely a hole in the wall. Looks like an indoor toddler playground filled with germs and bugs. Seen a stink bug. I havent seen a stink bug in forever. Staff was nice enough but this place is definitely a germ fest. Flooring is coming up. Trip hazard. Price is cheap though.
Its a 40 min drive from where I live but its worth it. My son really enjoys it. People that work there are ok.
Attended a birthday party here. Rips and tears in the mats everywhere! Management wouldnt allow you to bring your own pizza, you had to order through them so they could mark it up. All they did was call Pizza Hut, and they didnt even get the order right.
I planned a party this past Saturday at your location for this Saturday and a worker called me On Tuesday to tell me the news after Ive paid the full price. She tried to ask me to let you keep the money until August and have his party then but I said no and want a refund. She replied that I should be refunded within 24 hours but my bank had been saying you guys have not started the transaction. I want my money back because Ive already booked another place. Now your workers are not answering their phones. I am letting you know now that I am reporting this and claiming it with my bank as of today. I will not play about my hard earned money! If you guys knew you were having contract issues why even accept my full payment or even let me book the party.
Sadly this place is what I experienced 3 years ago celebrating my daughters birthday. THE SAME... Like no one actually cared to clean it for years. Today, after visiting this facility again, my daughter and I left this place feeling we were getting sick... Even with this gross environment to receive kids of all ages, they charged $8 per child! $2 higher than Bounce With Me in Colonial Heights, whose facility and environment has recently been upgraded and it feels and looks clean in every corner.
I have attended 3 birthday parties here. Im really not a fan. The toys are picked over, it just looks like its not well maintained and the staff is just there to exist. Kids however dont pay attention to any of this. My daughter is now 3 and has always had a great time. There are multiple bouncy houses and after a certain time they turn on music and disco light while the kids play.
Small place but great for parents with more than one child because you can see the entire space from wherever you are standing. My kids (ages 6 and 3) love it! They also have a space that is strictly for toddlers. They can jump in the bouncy houses or play with dinosaurs at the table or play video games... so many choices!
Please update this! This location is no longer open. I drove an hour to take my kids somewhere different just to arrive and see that it was no longer open and functioning. I had two very disappointed kids and we ended up going to Chuck E. Cheese so please update this incorrect information.
My kids love this place. It has everything. Bounce houses, slides, play kitchens, dolls, a puppet show set up, balls to bounce on, toys, and so much more.
Attention Google and Everyone else who sees this! This location is SHUT DOWN. I just drove my children here this morning and it has been CLOSED! This needs to be updated!
Its not the prettiest joint, but it is a cushioned enclosed place that is perfect for kids to go balls to the wall. They have a dedicated space for kids under 4, chairs for adults whose kids are ignoring them, 2 playhouses, 4 bounce houses, a table full of dinosaurs, some arcade games, 3 available rooms for birthday parties, AND... a massage chair for the adults. This place keeps the kids entertained and challenged (some of the bounce houses offer a steep climb). If they play too hard, the entire floor is cushioned. Also, the place may look a bit dingy, but its clean.
Please update your address and name. I found this place searching Google. I drove 20 minutes to take my kids somewhere different just to find out its closed down and its actually the place 10 minutes away from my house now..smh
Theres a lot of fun for kids; perfect for 5 year olds. The foam tiles on the floor need to be redone; its a tripping hazard. Otherwise, good. Bring socks!
Want to wear those kids out, so they can have the best sleep ever tonight? Then head here. Finally found something that works. They have sooo many toys and things that your kid will want to move into this place.
Great place for the kids to play.
So much fun for my 2 &5 year old daughters and 12 year old nephew alike! Hey, bring snacks! Or buy a 2.50 lunch able there.. games are all a quarter, but the center of attention is all the FUN. All humans must wear socks, yes even the grown ups (if you slack dont worry, theyll sell you a pair for a buck..)
The building itself Isn’t bad at all it’s the employees I had a private party here spent a pretty penny and they not once asked did I need anything just put my pizza in the room didn’t inform me it was there they sat up front and talked to each other all night and couldn’t even greet my party attendants to the point they didn’t feel welcome in the building and before my party every time I called someone answered now after they gave such poor service no one wants to answer to hear my complaints. Never book with this place
$6 per child. Kids loved it, clean, staffed and fun.
This place is dirty and I would not recommend it unless your toddler is acting up and youve run out of entertainment options. This place needs a facelift of monumental proportions.Floors are dirty, toys are sporadically thrown everywhere. Theme does not exist.Toddler area is filthy, to a point that you want to bathe your child after using it.On the good side, restrooms were clean and it was only $8.I will not take my family here again nor will I recommend this venue to anyone.
Nice, clean facility. We took 4 kids ages 2,4,7,and 7. They had a great time. The facility is a little older but well maintained.
Awesome owners
Terrible place had my daughter my first child and only birthday party there the manger was rudeans nasty refused to give us all the products we paid for it was just awful. The only good part was the woman who played with the kids .when i reached out to a supervisor the response was terrible i waa told they would look into never did.sadly my daughter has passed and i still have received nothing.my true words and feelings this place ia owned by scam artist and so is their manager.
This place is absolutely filthy, run down, and disgusting. Would never go back.
CLOSED AND COMPLETELY SHUTTERED.
Great place for kids and its way safer than the indoor bounce houses/trampoline places. This has toddler friendly areas. Staff is nice.
Not cheap and the whole room is kind of dirty. They have a lot of toys and bouncers which are great but the toys really need to be cleaned (the dolls are dirty honestly and I feel uncomfortable when my kids were holding them) and facilities need to be maintained and fixed better.
Fun, fairly priced but isnt open anymore
My daughter and son loved it soo much they want to go back and jump again with the kids.she only 3 years and my son is 9years with fun every where in the building.parents were nice and staff was very pleasant and helpful.definitely coming back!! Thank you off the wall for a great time.see yall soon!
My children enjoyed it. More for children 5 and under
It is a great place to have a playdate. My 4 yr old had a ball! There is a good variety of things to play with, climb on, ride on and slide down. The kids were all tuckered out after about an hour.
My granddaughter absolutely loved having her 4th birthday here!
Lots of different activities for kiddos, it could be better kept tho. Fair price and bring gripper socks.
My kids enjoyed it. Online it says $6 actually was $8 for both my 8 and 1 year old. 4 bouncy houses, a section for kids 4 and under. This section was ok not all that. Little play kitchens for kids like 1 or 2. A play castle and play house. It was enjoyable but the floors werent clean and they only had 1 bathroom working. Ok place to go at last minute.
Plenty of activities, not just blow up houses. The staff seemed disinterested in the patrons. But, to be fair, there were a few parties going on at once. They did keep them busy. And, it isnt really the establishments fault but, every kid in there, took their turn walking past me and openly coughing on me. Not a single one covered their mouth. Lol. Guess who was sick the next morning? Lol.
Great place for kids to burn some energy. The setup helps parents keep an eye on their kids without having to run after them. The staff is friendly and helpful for parties.
Very expensive for partys! Fun place for kids to play. Need to fix some tiles on floor, one of my party guests tripped. Other then that we had a great time.
Kids had a blast and so did I. There was so ugh for them to do other than bouncies. There ride bikes...Played house, and just literally and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We will definitely be returning...The birthday party was a blast!!!
This place is not really for children under two as there is really only one small area for them. Okay place for other ages but probably one of the best places in the Richmond area for kids play places.
I had my twins birthday party here with 12 of their friends and everyone had such a great time. Our party planner, Peyton, helped us bring all of the stuff and even helped us take everything to our car. It made my life so much easier than having to do everything at my house, then dealing with the clean up.
Fun and safe atmosphere for kids. Just remember to bring socks with you!
Great for the kids. Nice place... could use some upgrades, but no complaints here.
Kid loves the place, what else can I say. She screams everytime we have to leave. Its always clean. Toys have seen some better days, but hey, it comes with the territory, am I right?
My nephew had his 11th bday party here. Everyone had a enjoyable time.
My son had so much fun he didnt want to leave
Showed up at 1045 on Monday 15 July and it looks like the place is out of business.
I paid 60 dollars to take my child here with her cousins to jump after her birthday party. It was 7 children. A party was going on in the back and when it was over, someone approached my nephew and his mother and said her child(my nephew) had made a racial slur towards another child. My nephew is 9 years old and timid as can be. He would NEVER. Not to mention my other 2 nieces are of mixed race. We stayed for less than an hour bc of this. We will never go again
We LOVE the Playroom. This place is completely unique in that is has not only inflatables but an entire area devoted to pretend play, with kitchens and dress up stuff, giant legos, and toys. Its great for all ages of play we have been bringing our child since he was crawling. He never gets tired of going to the playroom. The staff is always professional. Its great to be able to sit and use their free wifi while my child plays and has a great time. Thanks so much for bringing this awesome playroom to Chester!
The playroom is an awesome place for children. From the inflatables to the toys they can play with. Not to mention that its only $6.00 to play all day. The little boy I watch and I come in twice a week and he has a blast.
My boys LOVE this place! They NEVER get tired of going and NEVER want to leave!!!!! I as a parent love it bc its not too big of a place that I lose my kids! Its just the right size that I can keep an eye on each child and I have 3 !!!Awesome place!
Used to be an okay place took my daughter all the time. We went this time and I met a couple of my mom friends there, two babies were the same age both cant walk, yet they charged one and not the other. When I told the worker she could not walk and on the website it stated that she didnt have to pay the fee to get in, says $6 online but they charge $8... she had been very rude to me stated that she was going to make every one of my friends pay, one was a mom with a 3 month old child. The site wasnt accurate and I shouldve called before coming in, stated that if her baby was in a carrier and she didnt put her on the ground she could come in for free, other friend was terrified to put her baby down because she was afraid they would toss us out. She however didnt want to cause an issue and paid the $8 for her child to crawl around and touch maybe a couple train tracks. It was one women not every employee, brown hair, glasses, medium height. Very upset and you all have lost my busines.
A great place to burn off energy...well organized. Nice.
Place needs some work, the lady Sara that works there is amazing. That helps.
Update after owners response. Someone did post the screenshots of responses from your son regarding the negative review. He must have gotten his opinions of your customers & employees from you! Everyone needs to read them. They appear under the photos tab. Sad and run-down. (Updated March 2018) Ownership is terrible. I see from a post to a local Facebook group that Im not the only one that thought this. Also the response from the owners family is horrendous! Im not sure how to add screenshots of it.
Great place to take young grand children on a cold day! Thanks for reasonable prices too.
I have to say that I was more than disappointed by my last visit to the Playroom TriCities, I was absolutely disgusted. My wife, children and I used to be frequent visitors of this facility but I assure you I will probably never return. The concept of Playroom Tricities is just that, a big playroom for children. There are inflatable bounce houses, slides, and numerous toys, games, legos, costumes etc. like you would find in any familys spare toy room, except on a much larger scale. The facilities I have never had an issue with, and that was not my issue this time. It was one single employee. My first interaction with this employee was when HE told me that I could not participate with my 5 year old son on one of the inflatable slides. This was new to me because on all other visits I was never told this, but there was a sign I had never noticed that said the same thing. I thought maybe it was new so i was fine with it. Then I noticed that the same male employee had taken a liking to my son and the other boy he was playing with. I normally dont have an issue with the faculty interacting with the children, in fact, I somewhat encourage it. However, this person was taking it a little over the top. Shortly after being told that I wasnt allowed on the particular inflatable, I saw the employee follow my son into the inflatable and out of site of my wife, other patrons/employees, and myself. This only angered me at first because I thought that it was a weight issue that prevented me from entering the slide, and this gentleman (and i use the term loosely) clearly outweighed me. After I noticed the employee follow my boys up the slide a few times I started to feel a little strange about his behavior. It was almost like he was looking around to make sure his supervisor and no other parents saw him following the boys into the inflatable. Before I had a chance to take my concerns up with management, my wife came to me very emotional and angered after she witnessed the employee laying down in a concealed area of the slide with my 5 year old and his friend just about on his lap. When she called out to my son, the employee jumped up like he knew he was up to no good. My first reaction when hearing this was to collect my children and the other family we were with and leave before the situation escalated. There was another female employee at the front door who witnessed our frustration and tried to calm us down as we were leaving, but it was too late. When I asked my son about the situation, he said that he, the other boy, and the employee were playing puppy, and the employee was petting, sleeping, and cuddling with them. If I had witnessed any of this behavior, I would have left in a police car. The owner/manager had already left for the day, so I plan on making that my first phone call when they open in the morning.
Great place for under 7 year olds compared to Sky Zone. Especially great for austistic children, no large crowds, no music during the day.
This is a terrible place to bring your kids!! I would advise all parents to look after your children as they are not safe in this environment! A big complaint about holding birthday parties ; go somewhere else!
Great place for children under 7. 7 and older can enjoy this place also
Very cute place and the kids seem to love it. Only issue is the older kids can get a little rough.
Went on to bouncy with 1 year old baby and was asked to get out ... Ummm 1 year old can not walk and play inside alone in case of getting hurt there is nothing safe for a one year old to play on or in or with do not recommend going here.
Good for babies.. Not so much for young kids and teens
Although, initially it looks a little shabby and cheap, when you put on your kid goggles all of that is forgotten, as this is a young kids happy place. Tons of toys and obstacles for them to play with to keep them occupied with their friends for a seemingly unlimited amount of time.
This place is no longer open.
Awesome adventure for kids who love to jump and climb
Went to a private party and it was great for the kids.
Great place and reasonably priced for all day family fun!
I called before coming to go over prices and i was told one thing on the phone and something different in person...ok we stayed the kids started to play when the owner assume we were with another party after only being there less than twenty mins starts rudely argueing with my aunt in front of kids then called her a yall yes were black.... pointed his finger in her face like she was child...he talked very rude ...very unprofessional...
Add more toys & clean better. But kids love.
This place has changed owners a lot. Seems to be good.
OMG! My children were invited to this place. OK, it is a shoe free zoned place which I can respect, because of small child playing (germaphobic nurse). However, if that is policy that is policy, but when u get into the play area it is filthy! We could have kept our shoes on, because I dont think the floor could have gotten any dirtier. With a bunch of little children around I would think there would be some type of sanitation station around, besides the bathroom sink where the floor had something on it (hope it wasnt urine, mind you I am bare feet). Lastly, it pretty much looks like someone rented this space, found toys(that I dont believe has a regular cleaning routine) on a curb for the trash man and opened shop!It has to be a better way for this I really didnt enjoy the smell of stink feet as soon as I came in OR being made to take my very expensive shoes off to be left by the front door unsupervised. My unsolicited advice is to invest in some shoe covers, a couple of sanitation stations, and CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!#BLEACHISYOURFRIEND*Reply 3/28/18* First, Oh no maam I was in the correct place. Secondly, I pray in these past 2 years, that management had taken heed to my review and have had changes made. I really couldnt believe that this was a place for children to play, LITTLE children @ that!! Then again some peoples definition of clean varies from others! I find it hard to believe that the daily cleaning is being done. If so it is being preformed in a half hearted attempt and it showed. Lastly, if that was your meaning of clean, my suggestion is to have professionals come out!!!
Fun, but a little dingy. Birthday parties can be very crowded if theyre running more than one concurrently.
I did have an accident falling through a torn area in the bounce house, I landed on equipment, tore up my back. After first reporting the incident, then calling an hour later after seeing my back to make sure it was taken down, (which it hadnt been as of yet.) an employee phoned me back to see how I was and told me they were taking it down for repair. Hopefully it is taken care of soon!
No longer a 5-star place. Twice Ive called to take my grandchild & the business hours are not what I was told that morning or what is posted. When we have managed to find it open, it is no longer maintained & looks like it may be going out of business anytime now.
I have a complaint, or more so constructive criticism if you may. I held my twin bday party there on Saturday. There website states up to 35 people, of which I had 6 kids, 2 infants and 8 adults. We had to pay for extra drinks for the adults. In addition, when we were doing cake and ice cream, one of the guest (who was 15) asked for a cup of ice cream, of which our hostess responded that the ice cream was ONLY for 12 and under. I was given the same answer when my son (the bday boy) asked for a second capri sun, that it was one per child.Bottom line, if your going to have a party there, get your moneys worth! Pack that place full of kids. If you planning on just a few, you better off just paying outright for them to get in. With the party they give you a very sterile, poorly decorated room with picnic tables with plastic covering. I paid the same price as a person who would have brought in 30 kids and 5 adults. Giving ALL 30 kids ice cream, capri suns and goodie bags. I feel it was in extremely poor taste given the size of our group to behave in such a way. In fact it became a laughing joke with the adults, none of which I am sure will recommended this place because of this simple pettiness. Also there are only 3 blow ups for the kids and the rest of the place is filled with a bunch of toys that looks like someone just picked up at a yard sale. Here I thought I was getting a better deal then going to one of the bigger, nicer places on Hull street. Lesson learned. Great for an hour trip with your kid, not so much for a party.
Excellent staff very attentive.
LOVE IT! Best play area in the whole TRI-CITIES
Very nice friendly place to take your toddler.
Very nice places for kids.
Great prices, wonderful safe place for my kids to play.
My son Loves this place
Its closed down
First time love it
Need a good cleaning
Fun place for children....staff very helpful
