I absolute LOVE this park. I go jogging here once a week and it is always clean. Its huge, so you wont get bored jogging and running in circles, theres actually scenery to look at. Everyone is very nice and there are a couple of ponds where families fish, dogs swim, creeks to play in, and Ive seen a person kayak the little pond. There is also enough shaded areas as well to bring out your hammock or to just have a nice little picnic. Great place to enjoy being outdoors!

Beautiful park - a pond to walk around and a forest detour. A very smooth, wide paved path. Dog friendly. Plenty of parking.

Nice little park with a small lake, walking trails and lots of benches for chances to take a break and relax. One thing I would say is every trash cans were completely full, they need to manage the trash collecting a little better. Not a great sign when you go to throw something away and the trash can is full of empty cases of beer. There are bathroom facilities at this location and they were surprisingly clean.

Great park! They have a relatively small playground for the kids which is nice, but its a little old. The trail around the pond is nice and the park is kept clean. Great park for the kiddos.

One of the nicer parks in the area to walk in The park is large and we were able to walk 4 miles along the Breckinridge trail, which is a concrete trail. The trail went along Rowlett creek, unfortunately the creek itself has a lot of trash and was not that appealing to look at. There are a couple of ponds as a couple bridges. No shade on the path so this is good on a cloudy or cool day. Lots of trees, so we might want to go back to see if we get any fall colors. We heard a lot of birds and were happy to see a woodpecker. We parked on Moroney Drive and Laney Ct in a small lot off Renner Road and walked past a pond and crossed the creek

Clean & tranquil. Had a nice concrete path to follow. Some go through the woods, over bridges, around ponds filled with fish & all types of birds. We saw cranes, ducks, & seagulls. They have trash cans, bathrooms, playgrounds, & lots of benches as well as picnic tables & areas; some with grill options. Beware of the wildlife. You may or may not see. I recommend keeping children & small animals close, as there are snakes & bobcats in that area.

We LOVE Breckinridge park!!! It is just beautiful there with the trees, the pond, the hills, etc. They have great trails that go back into a very heavily treed area and it feels so nice and relaxing. The pond is beautiful and I regularly see people fishing. My kids love feeding the ducks. The play ground is decent, not great but does the job. I just love the feel of this park. Great place for family pictures! :). Also, the grounds seem to be very well maintained!

Breckenridge Park has extensive trails that you can explore and even get lost in sometimes. There are multiple creeks that run throughout the park and offer exciting opportunities for swimming or listening to running water. The park boasts two playgrounds and multiple sporting areas. It is divided into half paved trails that are mostly in sunny conditions and half unpaved trails that are in mostly shady conditions. There is even a loop specifically for biking. I highly recommend taking your next run, ride, stroll, or picnic here.

This is a neat! Park! Lots of hiking and biking trails or dog walking. We had a breakfast get together for our life group with lawn chairs(and distancing of course!) and had a grand old time. Very large park with lots of trails and pretty spaces. The only issue is that we primarily went there to find a place to park and eat lunch (too hot to leave the car) and couldnt find any parking that overlooked any pretty spots. Also some of the roads through it have really big humps and dips and we scraped the underside of our car on one.

This is a lovely nature area with unpaved trails thats nestled in between the quiet neighborhoods of far north Richardson, which we should really just be calling Murphy at this point. I have enjoyed many a trail run and dog walk at this park and love having it so close to home. Theres a few points where you can stand in the middle of the park and not see any houses, just trees and the tall grasses and the creek beyond the brushes. My only gripe is that there seems to be a lot of litter along the creek area and I wish people picked up after themselves and their dogs more often.

A great place to go for walking and biking. There are ponds on both sides and Rowlett Creek runs through it. Most walking areas are paved but there are a few off the path trails to take. These are mostly around the the creek areas. There is a pavilion on the larger pond and several areas to picnic with tables and grills to use. There is also a small playground area for the little ones.

BEAUTIFUL area no matter what time of year, and the park is HUGE with a variety of areas; theres a wooded area that would be great to picnic in, a large pond to feed ducks, a long, paved walkway to run/walk/bike/etc., soccer fields, and a bathroom near the far side of the park.

Its peaceful and quite, nice for a warm summer or even a pleasant winter afternoon. A picnic there would be awesome, I think. The meadows, the birds and open skies are all one could ask for. Theres a beautiful water body one could sit and gaze at all day long! Take your family for a picnic or a quiet time with your partner!P.S. after a certain point in the woody areas, theres a warning about poisonous snakes, so take adequate precautions before going there and keep kids always in the vicinity!

Space for all to gather and play! This park is very large! There are grills with picnic tables throughout, trees for hammocks, two pavilions, a lovely wildflower meadow plus room for play. While we were there, a game of cricket, football tossing, volleyball passing drills and soccer ball passing were all happening at the same time, with plenty of room for each activity plus walking about. I also really enjoyed the cultural diversity!

Breckenridge Park is composed of two sections. A developed area with facilities and structures you expect at a park, and a natural area with wild flowers and carrying terrain. There are about 40 variety of birds that are both local resident and seasonal migratory for bird watchers to enjoy. A good place for sports training, flying large kites on the hill in Area B, and for Saturday and Sunday group gatherings, 5K runs. The Fourth of July event is accessible by neighborhoods near by, a bus service from a remote parking location, vendors, Richardson Band, and a lengthy fireworks display reflecting off the large pound. Mosquitos seem to be well controlled as well as grass, trails, and paths well groomed. Parking is available in area C for early runs Area A and B are controlled by a gate that opens around dawn and closes a brief time after dusk. Water fountains are closed for the winter .. perhaps November Until March. Area of caution are well marked such as tall grass area next to the creek where venomous snakes are known to exist. A very nice path connects into the Utility Line Pass where you can ride or walk to Murphy Nature preserve just a few minutes northeast of the park.

Our new favorite place! Well-kept paved & dirt walking, biking & hiking trails are essential, which Breckinridge has all throughout. The entire park is a massive circle around an intramural sport complex, boasts lots of parking, is very clean & the scenery is breathtaking for being in the middle of the concrete jungle that is both Richardson & DFW, in general. Went up there w/ my German Shepherd to take her bushwalking along the creek & it was relaxing hearing the creek water rush by. If you havent checked this place out, its definitely a good spot for a weekend picnic, portraits/photography, jogging, dog walking, etc.
