Great place to take the children. This was my children’s first experience in a go cart and they had a blast. We had to register since it was our very first time here and the process was fairly simple and quick. The best part of the visit was the way the staff was soooo patient with them giving instructions and helping them through the learning process. 10 out of 5 stars to the staff. Rose was very helpful at the counter and all the gentlemen in the pit area were extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend.
2 stars because the concept was cool go carts are fast. However way way way to over priced. 20 minutes of fun for me and my son cost over 100$ if you are rich you will love it. Regular people cant afford it. Wont be going back.
If you are going here to be on the same track at the same time as your child that is 10 to 13 years old there is a good chance this is not the place for you. They do not allow it. I would assume a lot of people go here to race with their kids guess they don’t get it. Go to Andretti’s cause they do. The manager was also rude as can be.
Bought races online for my kids after measuring them. We get there, they measure my son and he is good. Then he goes for a fitting and they say he cant go. I understand being safe. But then they tell me I have to call corporate to get a refund. Tried to call corporate and get voice mail. Eventually heard back the next day and got my refund. Would like to see them be able to refund at the location if they are tall enough but cant fit in the car.
Staff was great super fun! They sanitized everything and made us feel like VIPs. Highly recommend
It was pretty empty. But definitely good customer service.
Had a loads of fun. Long waiting time. Be prepared for that.
My family and I celebrated 2 of our kids birthday party at K1 speed. We had an amazing time and their facility was very clean with excellent staff.
Had fun. Would definitely go back. Great if you have a group of friends to go with also
Went here for a team outing and we were not disappointed! Great staff and fun cars! They are electric cars so you dont get any of the noxious fumes while driving indoors. I really like the head sock that you get, mine was even holiday themed for Halloween. Helmets of every size. We went near the middle of the day when it was slow, but it would be a cool place to have an adult party with great lounge area and music while watching other racers. There food choices didnt seem too allergy friendly (gluten) it was more like the local movie theater choices. Not a bad thing if you want a quick snack. They do allow you to cater in from local groups if you are doing a party so that would make up for it.
Had a blast..Kids and myself had a great time
Everyone had a blast during the racing. The guys running the track did great. We did have a hiccup trying to pay as a group due to a the cashier dividing our group into the wrong amount of people, leaving $100 left to pay but she couldn’t explain why and didn’t even try to understand it. The manager did his best but we as customers had to figure out what math had been done wrong while they stood there telling us they didn’t know why or who out of our group owed the remaining balance.
We had a team retreat here and it was such a wonderful experience to bond with colleagues around racing. Our group was quite competitive so when we started racing it was all about winning.I had a great time and would happily join a K1 league. For those wondering, the karts are electric and very fast. So fast that I wouldn’t recommend bumping anyone because you’ll both feel it.Go race and enjoy!
Took my son and his cousins for a little Spring Break outing and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves! I got a special discount through the NTTA toll perks program which included one race and a annual membership for only $17, which saved me $11 apiece since the arrive and drive for one race is $22 and the membership is six dollars. The membership is worth getting as it includes a free headstock the use of their helmets for free and a five dollar race on your birthday. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we will definitely return!
My cousin and I are on business trip. We managed to race on the Austin location and the Dallas/Richardson locations this week. My experience with Austin, was... well horrendous. The track operators spoke down to customers even to the children... far too aggressive with their warning signs when we havent done a thing. I did 3 races there. All 3 I was left in the lowest speed aside from having a green box next to my name. I questioned their motives to one of the track operators and his answer is, youre just slow left the facility unhappy and I race at lot at other K1 locations. But, when we got to the Dallas/Richardson location, the track layout, track operators and overall staff was 100% the best. They were so friendly, the vibe was so awesome that I felt at home there. They provided the outmost hospitality and congratulated us upon each race. 100% will come back at the Dallas location hands down! Awesome job guys! Keep up the good work!
Its tiring and boring. The wheel is super hard to turn.
Very disappointing experience. We came for my son’s 8 year old birthday party. We looked online before booking the party to make sure what the height requirements were. All we saw was that you had to be 48”. We made sure all the parents knew that in advance in case there any kids shorter than that. All parents confirmed their kids were at least 48”. We had 9 kids there. 6 were well over 48”, 2 were just over 48” and 1 was about 49”. The 3 kids at the 48-49” mark were told that yes they were 48”+ but there was an additional requirement. Their legs had to be long enough to not be straight when touching/using the pedals. They said those 3 kids couldn’t ride bc their legs were straight when using pedals and not bent. So we had 3 very very disappointed kids. The staff didn’t seem to care. I got the feeling they wanted us to leave. So we left and went somewhere else.
We arrived about 2 hours before closing and were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. We talked to the employees about racing, pricing, packages, and the required membership that must be purchased. The place was almost empty, there were maybe 8 other customers present. When we went to purchase tickets about a half hour later, still 1.5 hours before close, we were then told they were sold out of races for the night. Another group had literally just purchased races but when we asked they were sold out. At no point when we were discussing pricing, etc. did the employees mention there werent many slots left. You would think that would be something they would mention before allowing people to just sit there and have the races sell out. I still find it odd that the races were allegedly sold out when there were so few people present.
Had a blast!! Although the gocarts are a little small im 6 61 so....
We called to make sure there was no wait, and that wasnt true. We waited about an hour until our turn and the check in staff was very unprofessional... however the man teaching us about driving was very nice, welcoming and helped us out whenever we needed. Front desk people need work, but overall experience is good. This is great for a date or family fun.
We were in Texas for a week and managed to race at both the Austin and Richardson, Dallas location and the Dallas location was 100x better. The staff was very encouraging and very relaxed. The staff honestly felt like weve been friends for years vs the Austin location which made me feel like I was in detention. I will recommened the Dallas location to numerous people because of how inviting they made me feel! Shae the receptionist was awesome! And unfortunately I didnt get the chance to get the track masters names but man did they make my experience so much more enjoyable! 100x will recommend!
Absolutely a smash time for the bros. Went on a bachelor party here and it was more than a great deal. Easy to get started with it and way more of a thrill than the slow places. Will be coming back very soon
We have taken our 9 year old Grandson on numerous occasions. We have always had a great time! Our Grandson absolutely loves spending time on the race track! The employees have always been nice and courteous. Aalyah has always been the most kind and courteous! She is very professional and provides excellent customer service! We look forward to coming back again soon!
For me the pros were, the carts go super fast, staff is friendly. Cons were the seats are small, well they were for me. They aren’t made for people with wide hips. The seats are one size only so it’s a bit uncomfortable.Race is about 30$ for one race. And that’s per person. It wasn’t for me but glad I tried it.
Expensive, Not enough faster. Virus unsafe
Hands down best experience.
Me and the boys went to have some fun and had a Great time. Great staff. Great everything tbh. 100% Would recommend.
Love it here! I just wish they let you use gopros. Kinda silly they dont. Otherwise its awesome
Came in at 13:15 to race with my son. Well, if your kid is below 58 you cant race with them, makes no sense, but whatever. Then they wanted me to wait 2 hours for me to race. Also, I didnt think this place was anything special, we live in near rockwall and shenanigans go cart track is about the same length and speed as this one.wont be back and wouldntt recommened
Staff was amazing and they enforced all of the safety rules and regulations while still having fun. The food is well priced and good quality, although the drinks are a little on the pricey side
This place is AWESOME!!!Took my 3 grandkids here for some entertainment and we were not disappointed. The karts are electric and FAST!!!K1 Speed in Richardson is very clean and very well ran. Kept the karts on the track and moving with very little down time in between unlike most karting options in DFW.I HIGHLY recommend this place for all ages.
Get the kids out the house and over there....Its Pretty Dope there...
Outstanding people and clean facilities. Good tires on all the karts definitely coming back every paycheck
I loved the racing, just didnt enjoy sitting in the car for 10minutes before the race started. Enjoyable time, would recommend.
45 mph carts are a blast. 2 races and your arms will be tired....trust me. Worth the price...lots of fun. Went with 3 friends...they will give you read out of best lap as well as add times of full 12 laps together and tally for what place you would finish in.
Kids had a great time!
Came here for my bachelor party and had a great time! Racing is really fun but can be super stressful! Adults are racing at near 50 MPH around sharp turns and curves. You have to be careful about bumping other cars at that speed. They have staff placed at regular intervals throughout the course to make sure all rules are being followed and will provide a warning and then stop the race to remove a multiple offender. That being said, the rules are not difficult to follow. It was pretty busy when we went but the time between races was just long enough. Not once were any of us wondering what the hold up was or why we were waiting so long. Your brain and body definitely need a short break in between runs. All in all, I would go here again and was also pleased to know they offer lessons so you can learn to do better.
The kids loved it! Great place to have a birthday partyPIZZA WAS LOUSY
Great customer service
We had a team retreat here and it was such a wonderful experience to bond with colleagues around racing. Our group was quite competitive so when we started racing it was all about winning.
Had a good time. Excellent service and a great staff
Price is a little costly. I dont like the forced membership. The kart was fast, a lot faster than I expected at first glance. I do not recommend this for kids younger than 10.
The cars were actually quite fast. You could hurt yourself if you wanted to. But I guess I got bored doing 3 rounds of races. My hands were getting sore trying to steer for that long.
Went around 7pm on a Friday. My hubby and I went for date night and we were the only ones on the first race which I liked since we had never been! It was a blast, going 45mph for 14 laps. Second race there was only 4 of us and I still had fun. Would recommend and definitely go back
This place was a lot of fun.
You have to purchase $7 dollars annual membership to play, which makes no sense. iRace in Houston is much cheaper than here and have a better track.
Was super hesitant about an electric go cart, but after one lap o was hooked. The staff is friendly and informative about how you need to act and drive. You better bring a pocket full though, its not necessarily cheap but worth EVERY PENNY!!
Very fun and professional, plan to go there again. Thank you
Friendly and inviting staff. We were greeted and helped within seconds of arriving. The karts were very well maintained and definitely fast enough for all ages to enjoy. I will definitely be coming back!
This place suites my need for speed and tactility. It’s a bit in the pricey end but no more than similar places. One thing I wish they allowed is for you to go the opposite direction in the track rather than doing the same route. If you’re looking for some adrenaline fueled times with friends, this place is a must. Pro tip: buy 3 races even if you plan to never come back. It’s much cheaper and after one experience, you’re likely to want to go again.
This is a cool place to have fun with your family, friends and co-workers.You can order food, even RSVP a party room. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
So much fun for a small track carts are fast and wait time typically short
Had a company event there. Only thing that sucks? No power steering. You will miss it, I guarantee it. But hey its electric go karts. Had a blast Would recommend for a any occasion to just let loose.
Seems like it would have been great but we walked in and were there for 15 minutes before we saw a worker... he walked right past us.. walked outside to smoke and made us wait until he came back inside. Finally a lady cane from the back to help.. we ended up leaving and going to Speed Zone in Dallas which was just 20 minutes away.
Its fun to go fast, but it sucks to get wrecked by kids that dont know how to pay attention. They talk about no bumping but they dont stress not crashing into someone. Its called a brake pedal and it is on the left side of the kart. Can take 25-45 mins between races depending on how many are there, so be prepared to wait around.
The service of the place was actually pretty good but my family and I went later at night during the week when it wasnt busy. The main thing that was annoying was how small their track was for the go karts. The go karts go very fast but it is power steering and hard to go around the sharp corners of their track. The other annoying thing is being mixed in with another party. We hand a party of six and got mixed in with about 4-6 others. The track was too small for all of us. Anytime someone passed another person, unless they were going slow they were getting bumped.
Horrible employees, not customer friendly at all. Very rude behavior, seems like bumping off people from the race is their practice. For the 1st race service was fine, but the second one was more than an hour wait, plus all the bumping off drama...Kids felt unsafe with the flag indicator for the 2nd race, as if intentionally they are directing them to crash or bump at each other...Owner of the place should pay attention to what is happening, train and correct the employee behavior for safety of the customers and betterment of the business.
LittleOver priced in my opinion but we had a good time but not something I would go back and routinely do.
Lots of fun, would highly recommend visiting for a group outing. The staff was very attentive and professional and made our team event a breeze. I appreciate the focus on safety and how efficiently they got everyone on the track each time.
They had great customer service and introduced the safety properly and safety was number one priority
Exceptional. We will be back
Four stars just because of the pricing. After a couple of races, I was bored with the track layout.
Had so much fun for my boyfriends birthday. Highly recommend
Has very fast, nimble karts that are very light. They have super helpful staff and a very well made track. The GP League is awesome, has pool, and hockey and concession.
I went to Arlington K1 and Richardson K1 tonight. I hope this post is for Richardson- Richardson was disorganized - had the old style kart with the narrow seat and the loop shoulder harness - could not find me in the computer- couldnt print my race results as they were either out of paper or the printer didnt work. Good news - long fast track - fast karts - you actually have to use brakes in a few spots - summary; I wont be back until they update the equipment.
The track is not a just a circle which is great, but if theres anything I can change its the prices. A little pricey with $35 per person for 2 races. It was fun though.
Wanted to love it but werent treated very well. Bought 2 races and werent called for our 2nd race (their fault not ours). Had to wait an extra hour for our 2nd race we paid for when we should have been next.
So much fun, they go allot faster than you would think, I wish they would do an overall beast average instead of just best lap.
Pretty good experience here, although on our first of three races, the battery on the kart I had nearly died about half way through and compromised my race but moreso my experience for the money I paid. The staff didnt have a good answer for this. There were also instances where my kart was intentionally set to a lower speed (Id prefer to race as fast as possible) and I had not demonstrated any reckless driving or lack of skill. That was annoying. Either way the place was in good shape and we got our races in, and the Dallas layout is better than the Arlington location so we still had a decent time, but just a few gripes for the price.
The electric karts are WAY more responsive than traditional gas karts, so cornering is easier. The facility is clean and air quality is great, no kart exhaust either, which is really nice. Pretty expensive though.
AWSOME, had so much fun. I will go back
Very fun! Very fast! The karts are fast, this is not a walk in the park but its very fun!
Its so fun and the races are the best so is their customer service
Definitely geared towards kids. Bigger adults can not fit in the go carts. Helmet visors were dirty.
A great birthday treat for grand kiddos. Just be sure to pick a quiet time when you might have the track to yourselves. We had four karts and could race each other which was perfect. The next race we shared the track with four others and they were ultra competitive reckless guys who crashed and bumped us out the way and spoiled the fun.
Extremely fun. Great staff.
Fun times :) Took my kids here, was very fun. Indoors so weather doesnt affect the experience, staff is friendly and helpful-
Lack of customer service. Had me waiting over an hour and still didnt get to drive with my boys.
If you want a great go karting experience as well as something that gets your adrenaline pumping, K1 is a great place to go. Customer service is always amazing when I go, and your fellow racers are always enjoy the race with you. Also whats wrong with some friendly competition. But if you want a great go kart place as well as a competitive atmosphere, go to K1
First time customers who will never ever go back. The place is clean and comfortable enough, but the racing experience was horrible. Theres no thought given to how racers are grouped together, which meant beginners like us ended up racing with uber-competitive bros who obviously do this regularly. Fine for them, but frustrating for us especially when it really looks as though preferential rule enforcement is given to regulars. You are either going fast enough to pass or you arent. Just because a racer is tailgating doesnt mean you should have to slow down so they can go by; if theyre going fast enough passing shouldnt be an issue. Youre a beginner and you drift, you get a warning, but they seem to let it slide with regulars. Same for spinouts and bumping. YMMV, so if you are a beginner and decide to ignore my and other similar revierers warnings, just make sure you verify the experience levels of the other drivers before joining a group. And if youre a woman, expect to be receiving a lot of passing flags to make way for the men.
Good: Fast karts, nice track, well organizedBad: high prices, too many karts on the track at once for a time trial, slower traffic needs to yield as instructed.
I would say it was a great adventure. Lot of funs. Will definitely go back
It was fun and nicly orginized
Great place to go and hangout with friends and/or family, very friendly staff and very helpful, they help and guide you throughout the whole process. REALLY fast carts and great track staff as well, better than other Go-cart places Ive been to. Although it is a bit pricey... totally worth it. Definitely will be going there more often to work on my race times!
The go-karts are fast but the track is very small. The price was way too high for this experience. One race is $22.00 which is not a good deal for what you are getting. Wouldnt recommend for families due to the price.
Fast and fun cars. Much better than the slow bumper cars you usually see. Wait times can be a bit long, so call ahead and see.
There’s no gas odors here since it’s all electric cars, which is nice. They have several big fans, but if it gets up to 100 degrees it’s really HOT in here. I’m not a tiny lady (I’m not huge either), but I barely fit into the race car seat. You might want to try this out for a race or two before you buy a multi-race package. My 18 year old son and his friend loved it!
