It is nice for what it is but 37 acres (to me) is a bit more than a 50 yd wide strip of creek and trees. However... it is in the middle of town which makes it relatively awesome. Great photo ops... friendly environment. Beats sitting on the couch for sure. Bring a cold water... its hot outside.

Had a lovely time walking around and driving around the park. I loved the waterfall and the gorgeous wild flowers. A great place to get out doors. Had fun chasing the butterflies.

A great place with a soothing scenic beauty...I love the walking trails...but the major attraction for my kiddos is the water fall...they spent hours playing there...Would love to visit again...PS: Please dont visit this place with great expectations...this is just a small creek and hence, the water falls too are small, and the water was shallow ( since we visited it during summer)

This park is gorgeous! At some point along the trail theres a beautiful water fall! The woods are cool. However if you are planning on taking pictures at the waterfall dont have your hopes up. There were about 15 photo shoots happening there. It was crazy. Regardless though, it was a fantastic experience.

Great park and long walking trails. Just wish people were nicer to it at the waterfall where tons of people take photos but also litter with confetti.

I definitely recommend visiting Prairie Creek Park... To anyone feeling stressed. This amazing roaring waterfall,(best just after the rain)and serene woodsy atmosphere is great for mediation and self reflection.

Lots of grass and trees and a steam that runs down the middle of two streets with a water fall. The city even plants wild flowers in the spring and they are so beautiful. Picnic tables and benches to sit in. Very nice park!

Huck Finn Trail was perfect for littles! My boys (3 and 5) enjoyed the signs naming the types of trees and seeing the waterfall from the top. The walk felt foresty yet safe. The bridge offered a safe place for the kids to turtle-watch and stunning views for me. A gem!

Beautiful trail to walk and take pictures on. Beware during senior photo months, some of the people we had encountered had no regard for others. The water fall was a great backdrop for photos as was the bridge. When we went we got to take photos at the flower field as well!

Fun park and right in Richardson/Plano...not far and good trails.

It is a really nice walk in a thin Greenway through a neighborhood. I often walk the neighborhood at night to the waterfall which has access from the road for some nice safe exercise.

I love this place because of childhood memories, but its still beautifully maintained even after 25 years. The waterfall is beautiful, and its just a very serene, peaceful place to be. It also leads to a bunch of jogging trails, and trails through the wooded area which is great for all you exercise-minded folks.If you want a peaceful place to just go sit and contemplate your existence, I cant recommend this area highly enough. Theres even a little ramp so you can get right next to the water from that stone platform.

I love the waterfall area. Further south there is a nice spot in the woods with stones, etc. to sit on for a picnic.

Absolutely beautiful!!! We didnt stay long because of the heat and mosquitos(didnt come prepared, at the wrong time of day). However, I cant wait to go back and see the whole park...

Beautiful park for a short hike or family photos. The trails are clear and park is very well maintained. There is a small waterfall and beautiful bride, I see lot of couples and families come here for the pictures. In the fall you will experience beautiful fall colors and in the summer there are beautiful wildflowers. The park is close to many businesses like restaurants and coffee shops.

Unique use of greenspace through a neighborhood. I hiked through the creek a great deal of my time there. Its a nice peice of peaceful in the middle of the Dallas concrete.

The park is lovely. So very peaceful. Like posted before its hard to believe youre in the middle of the city. It is a great place to take a walk or have a peaceful lunch.

Its a great location for portraits but humidity or mosquitoes could make this spot just a tad unpleasant. Expect prime areas like the waterfall and the bridge to be occupied by other photographers so take that into consideration when planning your shoot. PS: I wish people with dogs would be slightly better about picking up after them.

Cute little small trail in the middle of a nice neighborhood. Beautiful waterfall right in the middle. You can smell the honeysuckle and hear the birds chriping. It has some shade. They have benches to rest or grab a snack/drink. Theres also a wildflower area which I enjoyed. Picnic tables were available there.

Its partly paved and part dirt. Fun for a lil family walk. At some points..cant even tell you are that close to city. Look for all the turtles!! Youll see them sunbathing . Nice area. We parked near the school..wall on that side down...other side is not as into the nature as this side.

I only stopped by this location briefly and while I didnt get to see very much of it the areas that I did see were pretty and it looked really clean. I really disliked the parking here, it was sort of just off of the street in a strange way (at least the parking I found) but the actual park was lovely.

Well reserved and very nice for a quick walk. There is nothing fancy here like statues or such but the bridge is beautiful. If you need some fresh air and little get away spot, I would recommend come and check this park out.

Dont bother; very underwhelming. Go to Arbor Hills Park in Plano for much better scenery and space.

Great spot to take pictures . Altho its because its great that it gets crowded and some people spend way too long taking pics mean while others are waiting . Also in a pandemic I saw probably 2 people with mask and there was too many people in one spot not safe at all .

The most beautiful park in Richardson

The trail kinda just disappears in a lot of places, its all loosely connected, but the waterfall is pretty, and the neighborhood youre walking through is too. If you wanna get to the scenic stuff, you gotta walk pretty far up the trail or take a path less taken

Beautiful and relaxing setting. Each end of the park holds a separate tantalizing view. Absolutely love the waterfalls and bridges. We took our pageant pictures here.

Nice little shaded trail. Short - maybe 2 miles at most. Good for a quick walk.

A hidden gem! Took the kids for a stroll and feel in love. Its not there biggest park but its had a bunch of beautiful photo op places and we cant wait to go back!

Very good neighborhood for a morning or evening walk through the creek and lush trees. The waterfall is small but very beautiful for photoshoots. The stream is a habitat to plenty of turtles, peking duck and fishes

It sooo pretty with trails for handicap and nice shade area for picnic. There are two flower field one large and one that is more hidden away.

Very nice place to have few clicks. We went in 2nd weekend of May, Flower colours are vibrant and lively. Every nice photographic place was packed because of graduating students, who came for their memorable pics with their friends. Outstanding place to have good background while clicking at least during 2nd weekend of May. Have a nice time whenever you are planning.

This park is tucked into a secret corner of Richardson. I enjoy early morning walks with my canine friends through here frequently. If you get out there as early as 6 am you may see both professional & novice shutterbugs using the beautiful waterfall as a background. After crossing the waterfall you can choose a path through the citified forest there. This neighborhood is beautiful & cared for so please be mindful to not leave any traces behind other than your footprints. There are plenty of park benches throughout, so if you find a particular spot that you like, then please sit & enjoy the serenity now~

Nice area to go on a walk or relax on a bench next to the water.

I recently bought a new camera and it had rained so I went with mom down to the water crossing and set up the new tripod for a timed picture. It was a close fun thing to do and practice using the features. Easy walk on grass or dirt trails from the parking area. Lots of benches.

I love this park. Its so close to UTD and its in a lovely residential neighborhood that feels safe. Its like a little oasis of nature in this part of town. The waterfall is neat and the creek has lots of spots where you can look at it and maybe stick your feet in. There is a trail for walking/running.

This park is really beautiful. The only set backs are that there are always photographers there and many people who come thru and trash the park with their baby gender reveals, etc. it’s disappointing when someone trashes a beautiful place for some pictures. Non biodegradable confetti should be exiled.

Nice walking paths around the creek area and no mosquitos when I went near dusk. Also has bridges over the creek which is nice. Waterfall is beautiful and was an unexpected find. Would be great for photos.
