This is the best park we have ever been to!! It is for children of all ages and capabilities. Our 17- month-old loved it, and so did my husband! There are rock climbing walls, a bunch of slides, giant swing, an in-ground merry-go-round, and a glider swing! It is an awesome place to play with your kids.
The playground in this park is awesome! It is designed for all ages and abilities including rubber surfacing for accessibility. Many, many play features including zip lines and climbing walls. It is part of the dry canyon park with a wonderful walking/biking trail.
I love how there is so many different things for my kids to play on
Beautiful park with a nice section of the dry canyon trail for walking dogs.
This park is amazing. Has so much to utilize, plus it is handicapable. All 5 kids loved it....the adults too.
Nice park, all kinds of play structures. Including zip line, play fort, climbing rock. Great place for family.
Awesome park! Lots of things for kids and parents to do, definitely recommend
One of the nicer parks in Oregon. Really neat stuff for kids while also pretty spread out so you dont have to worry about there not being enough room for your kids to play.
Its a nice park. Great okay structure!
Awesome park for the kids. Better than any other park in the area. If you have kids its a must go to park.
Fun place for the little ones but also older children. There is a pickleball court, lots of open grass to play on or just sit and enjoy the outdoors. I have seen every age here enjoying the outdoors or taking a walk on the well groomed paths, visiting with family and friends. It can sometimes be a little loud but its ok because its the sound of children having fun.
Great kid park. Has a lot for them to play on and many of great trees to sit under or walk along the dry canyon trail.
Nice park. Well maintained. Restrooms clean and equipment in good shape. Shaded picnic tables.
We loved it. Lots for the kids to do. Very clean
One of the best playgrounds I’ve been to! Seating areas inside the playground make it easy to keep on eye on the kiddos.Love the inclusive aspects like ASL + Braille signage and English/Spanish translations.Wish we lived closer so we could bring the kids here more often.
Best park Ive been to with my grandkids with the largest variety of play sructures!
Fantastic site for kids, it’s clean and Always seems safe. My only complaint would be is that the Big Rock Climbing Structure is in the way of your view if you want to watch from your car while the kids play. While Covid-19 is 2nd phase it’s nice to see the kids and parents socializing while even at a distance. So those that are concerned I think everyone is still respectful of the situation.
This is an extremely nice park. The super soft rubber mats are an especially nice touch!
This park is great for children of all ages. It is well loved and sees a lot of use, but the city tries hard to keep it cleaned up as much as possible.
If you ever want to visit a park with very awesome different place structures for your kiddos this is the park! I took my kids when they were 2 and 4 and it was great! I never seen a park so cool! This is probably my favorite park to take my kids!
Great park to stop by. Its motto park for everyone. It was easy playing with my kiddo.
Perfect park setting. Its nice when the bathrooms are clean. The portapotty is icky.
Best park in redmond if you love fun stuff to spin on and the ground is soft so its not so troubling when the kiddos take a fall
Huge play area and our kids love it. Have been to concerts here too. We will be back.
I love this park. So many fun structures. All inclusive! It is the BEST park in Redmond. My kids always have a Great time.
Drop the boy off so he could meet up with some friends. He had fun.
The largest (zip lines! So many slides! Climbing everywhere!) and most fun playground in Central Oregon.Dear Bend Park and Rec Director, we challenge you to create something this grand. You can do it! Just take your current design, and add two 50-foot tube slides (better for races). Even Hines has giant slides; are you going to let them beat you? Now, Imagine walking into your next regional park planning conference, holding aloft a giant golden trophy for Biggest Slides and being hailed as Your Excellent and Exalted Emperor of the Playgrounds. Sounds nice, doesn’t it? We, the people, have spoken!
My kids love this park. Usually clean, and its updated with more modern slides and activities. Could use more shade to rest in.
I love Sam Johnson park In the Canyon of Redmond. Its a beautiful area for walking my dog...and is my favorite. The playground is awesome for children and families. Picnic tables, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, horse trails and runner trails. Great parking and beautiful scenery. You can walk the whole canyon on paved roads if you wanted. Its a beautiful well kept park.
I love it a lot it is awesome I go there every year for my birthday
The park was amazing we had 5 kids and was on vacation at eagle Crest resort it was a perfect place for the kids to have fun very hot in play area needs shade also the local people seemed strange they liked to stare at us and felt unwelcome
Well yes lots of reviews here for this park as it is really a magnificent place to play for kids maybe not in the full sun in the summer time since the play structures get really hot but there is a sledding hill area in the winter and there’s lots of things for the little kids to do in some unique zip line type things to ride on. Sometimes on the weekends the teenagers come in and cause a bit of a ruckus for the little ones but we tend to go early in the morning where it’s cooler and more quiet. This part can get in very busy. There are tennis courts and all sorts of things and there are restrooms there too it’s
One of the best, Ive seen.
Solid modern park with incredible equipment . Not much shade on the play structure area and the soft rubberized padded floor gets super hot. On a warm or hot day all the kids faces are red. Good shade trees for adults to chill under while the kids play. Bathrooms are in decent shape. Pretty incredible park!
Went here for a small picnic. They have lots of activities and a trees for shade.
Such a fun active place love it
Alot of neat tgings for kids to play on
Great park to take the kids. Redmond spent $1000000 for all the improvements. Place to picnic, play ball, listen to Summer concerts or watch hot air balloons light up at night.
Wow, this park is super cool, but also super scary with all the little monsters running around talking nonsense.
Lots of great childrens equipment and park. Fantastic dedicated pickleball courts. However, lots of teenage troublemakers by a large pavilion and occasionally transients.
Awesome place for kids they threw a fit when it came time to leave the place
Love that park. 3 generations of our family had so much fun there.
Big park with lots of things to do. Fun place for any age
Fun for all, beautiful park for a picnic.
Its very spacious with lots of room different corners of the Park allow for privacy and outdoor games. Play structure is fairly new just a few years old at least, its extremely vibrant colors and odd shapes and special aged areas provide something for everyone to enjoy.
Beautiful park to people watch, let your kids play, or walk your dogs. Lots of stuff to do. Best park in Oregon!
Excellent park, lots to play with, but the ground is already falling apart.
My three year old son absolutely loved this place. We will definitely go back again.
What a lovely park for all ages. Swings, large variety of slides, lots of play structures to climb.
Great Park, my kids ages 12, 10, and 2 all love this park. Its very big with up to date safety features, like padded play or climb areas. The play areas are large and adequate for even busy days. The park also has a large fenced in multi tennis court venue and is within eye shot of the cities skate, bicycle, and scooter park. The only downside to this park is its limited parking. There is an overflow parking area, but not the best access or good sight line that allows you to monitor your children from your vehicle. Also, its a good idea to bring your own water. If youre looking for summer fun, this park fits the bill.
Sam Johnson Park has so much to offer for all ages! Its our grandsons favorite park!
Lots of different structures for kids to play on. Both my 5yo and 12yo loved it.
Expensive playground and ample green space with shade
Great park for the kids. Music in the park is a summer time favorite for my family. Some riff raff traffic and loitering from skaters and possible drug traffic near the covered areas west of the playground.
Big enough to support our town. Hate that they have the giant hill with no direct access from the playground to see children who go over the edge.
Just a plethora of physical activities here, for all ages and abilities. Plenty of watchful and accommodating parents/grandparents instructing their kids to take turns and help others to be safe and have fun.
Great park with cool play structures. Full sun in playground area, so gets hot. But trees nearby, and restroom. A lot of fun!
Great for all ages
Took the grandbaby her while waiting to go to a different appointment. Lovely little park. The playground kept the toddler well entertained. Nicely maintained park.
Nice play ground equipment in good shape. Dont see the umbrellas this year. Nice place to have a family picnic.
Best park in Redmond as far as playgrounds go. Kids love it for the play equipment.
Too many obnoxious teens loitering, littering, vandalism.
Great place for kids ...just gotta watch out for the older kids
My daughters LOVE this park. There is so much to do. Warning: very little shaded seating for parents, so bring your own chairs or sunscreen.
Fantastic for the kids! Climbing walls, climbing rock, spinning rides, slides, and swings. Tables for picnics, and just catching some sun while the kiddos play.
Fun for all kids. Great park with safe playground equipment for all children.
Quiet day for pininic
Nice park to have a gathering
Great park. Worth taking the little ones down there. They have play structures for all ages. Watch the slides they do get hot
Grandkids had a blast!
Too many high school kids treat like their own personal meeting spot!!!! It destroys a kids chance to use the park like it was intended. They even take over the baby area. It not right. There needs to be a presence there that deters such behavior.
Excellent place during the day. Great playground for all ages. Awesome for community events.
Great park! My kids particularly loved the Zipline. I was also impressed by how accessible and safe it was. Definitely recommended!
Pretty sunny and extremely naturous perfect for bike riding
Lovely park in great old town neighborhood setting. Mature trees, beautiful rolling lawns, nice venue for events, amazing playground for kids.
The kids had a great time. The squishy floor makes me quesy, but great for falling kids. Very clean for a city park.
Great park for kids! They have Soo many structures for kids to play on. The one thing I dont like is how many kids in high school show up to the park and litter. I love taking my kids here to play with their friends. They have a lot of slides, swings, a play area for little kids and almost everything for everybody.
Very nice park for the kids
Good park for the kids pretty clean. Nice equipment and lots of room
Our family had a blast. So much to do!
This park has everything! A cool zipline style swing, a huge play structure, water, bathrooms, shade, tables. Its pretty much the perfect park.
OMG! This is an amazing park. Large play structures, varied equipment, toddler area and lots of slides. Wish I lived way closer.
Love all the accessible elements in this beautifully designed park. Such a fun diversity of opportunities for play!
I want to fall off the swing with my friend again it was fun i got concussion
Fun soo much to do and its a big park with a lot of nice equipment.
