Researched a lot of other flight schools in Utah. My instructor has been the best! Even after getting my Commercial Pilots license we still talk every day. They are very personable, friendly, and willing to work with you no matter your circumstance. Another thing about them is they have very knowledgeable instructors that know a LOT about a variety of different airplanes (not just cessnas, diamonds, or pipers) Great price, great location, great people.

Took my first 20 hours of flight school here. 10/10. Here are the highlights:- Barry uses his aerobatic skill to teach how to recover from bad scenarios. Most instructors wont have this!- Amanda was flexible with the schedule and was willing to accommodate changes as they came.- Heber airport is really forgiving for beginners.- Prices are fair and affordable with a nice range of aircraft available.

I booked a private flight for my husbands 40th birthday. He was very surprised and excited to have the experience. Since we booked a four person plane, my kids got the opportunity to go as well. It was fantastic. Bryce our pilot was excellent with his explanations of the flight process. The flight was fantastic and we were able to go up and over Provo Canyon, over the mountain range for Mount Timpanogos area, across Utah Lake, around Saratoga Springs and back again. My husband was able to take the controls under the supervision of Bryce and had a wonderful time. My daughter loved flying over our home. My son now wants to be a pilot when he grows up! Thank you Pilot Makers for making an amazing and very memorable experience for my husbands birthday. We look forward to doing it again sometime.

Got my PPL through pilot makers. Such an amazing school. Maintenance is very well done and always kept up on. They have beautiful aircraft and give their students amazing opportunities to fly in some of those iconic aircraft. The instructors are all very friendly and work hard to see you have good success. Id highly recommend this school to anyone. Really good prices, amazing aircraft, this is the best value for training that youll find.

Pilot Makers was a key element in helping me finally obtain my flight instructor certificate! All of the flight instructors and staff are helpful and smart, which creates a fantastic learning environment for students. The process of getting my flight instructor at Pilot Makers was tailored to me specifically, which helped the process go as smooth as possible. Flying the B55 Baron for my training was an absolute blast, and it was at a reasonable price (Not to mention the rest of their very diverse and unique fleet!). The spin program I went through included multiple flights in their Super Decathlon and Extra 300L. Pilot Makers ensured I was truly prepared and capable of recovery from all kinds of spins, which is an experience you dont get at any other flight school. All around, Pilot Makers has helped me become a much better pilot, and I recommend everyone to go check them out!

I am currently working on my private license at Pilot Makers and I cant say enough about how happy I am with my experience. Everyone there is extremely helpful and friendly and they all work extremely hard to give you the best flight experience possible. What a great organization; great people, great airplanes and a fantastic atmosphere. I came to Utah Pilot Makers to fulfill a lifelong dream of flying a radial engine aircraft and Im well on my way. I recently completed my tail wheel training with Barry and along the way he introduced me to acrobatics and upset recovery and a whole new world of flying has opened up for me. Top notch training and a lot of fun!

I had a great time flying with Barry! I went up there and got my tail wheel endorsement, did upset recovery, and some light aerobatic maneuvers. They have a great environment and are definitely really nice people to work with. They also take very very good care of their airplanes. They all look brand new. I strongly recommend learning to fly here, or doing recurrent training.

I have been up in the C172 and the Super D and have had a great time. I havent flown with Kevin or Barry yet, but have met them and know that between the two they come with tons of experience. Pilot Makers is easy to work with and renting aircraft with them has made it so I can stay sharp on my stick and rudder skills.

I had an amazing flight with Barry. He has a true passion for flying and for training a pilot to know and understand how to handle an airplane under the most extreme conditions. I cant wait to train on upset and spin recovery and then move on to aerobatics. Although I have just started my training, I feel safe and at home with the passionate staff at Pilot Makers.

I am a recent graduate of army flight school and fly the UH-60 Blackhawk. The military got me my commercial and instrument rotary wing ratings, but I decided to get my fixed wing add on for recreational purposes. Pilot makers has proven to be very adaptable and flexible. They tailor to your needs and skill level. Highly recommend to anyone. Plus you cant beat mountain flying in Heber, UT!

Completed the basic spin training in the Pitts and the Extra. I was impressed as soon as I got there by the cleanliness of the hanger and the lobby as well as all the cool warbird decor. The staff was all very friendly and helpful and the aircraft were clean and were obciously well maintained and cared for. The spin training and instruction went above and beyond what I expected. As a result of this training I am definitely a better pilot, and am confident that if I should encounter an inadvertent spin in the future I have the tools and knowledge to safely recover. Thanks Pilot Makers for the awesome experience.

The instructors here are amazing!Honestly, I wouldnt trust my training with any other flight school.How good are they? Well one of the instructors flies airshows. Do you really think youll find a better instructor than that?

Fantastic experience at Pilot Maker Advanced Flight Academy. I needed a refresher in the Pitts S-2C. Barry was very knowledgeable and gave me above and beyond the experience and training I expected. I learned so much with him in one hours time that my post flight debrief notes filled one full page of my notebook. The aircraft and equipment was in great shape and the airport was a great fit for a safe and effectient training environment. I have never been more comfortable during flight training. I came to Pilot Makers for their upset recovery training and my overall confidence has gone way up! Pilot Makers made me love aviation again instead of just thinking of flying as a job. I now plan on continuing aerobatic training with Barry because Ive had so much fun while learning extremely valuable information!

Both Barry and Kevin are the best instructors Ive ever had. I have been (slowly) working on my tailwheel endorsement and their experience and insight, not to mention their teaching styles, have paid dividends. Also by throwing in aerobatics and upset training, they have made me a lot better pilot. I cant wait to get back there and train some more.
