How beautiful! I suggest going around counter clockwise if you are afraid of heights. My family and I had a great time hiking the trails and can’t wait for the cave to be opened! This is a photographic dream! There are camp grounds that look amazing! A Spa, and places to camp and picnic! We will be staying here next year!

Beautiful drive but watch the road! In some places the road is very narrow and two young deer wandered into my path. The real challenge is to look at the views while managing the curves. Try to be the passenger! If youre just passing through the canyon you dont have to pay a fee as its a state road. Dont waste your time sitting in line at the rangers booth, just go around. The road goes from American Fork to Provo Canyon (by Vivian Park) or you can detour to Cascade Springs and on to Midway. Its a hard choice to make. Id base it on how much time you have.

I absolutely loved it. Me and my wife and sister and best friend went on a drive through alpine loop with his jeep. It was the best experience ever, Its extremely beautiful and it wasnt hot at all. The smell of Pine trees in the air and nothing but wilderness. I lovebit and will recommend it to everyone who asks about it.

Very scenic. Went there on the 1st weekend of October. The Summit trailhead with 1.75 miles hike was awesome.

A beautiful experience to enjoy. Seeing the backside of the mountains and the fresh air alone are breathtaking. The curvy roads can be dangerous and steep at times so drive carefully... Especially in the wintertime.

Gorgeous. And well worth the money that you pay to get in. There are so many great places to take pictures, have a picnic or even to take a quick little nap. In the fall, the roads are covered in fallen leaves and the trees seem to come to life with their vibrant colors. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a laidback, casual date.

If you are looking to go to Stewart Falls, then this is the parking lot that goes to the trail! I typed in Stewart Falls and it took me to a private driveway, then I got back on the road and Google suggested going up a narrow mountain highway for 14 miles. Other than that, beautiful trail. Its not difficult and its shaded. Maybe takes an hour to the waterfall on foot

Beautiful. There are places in the drive that should only be one lane .

Beautiful drive but watch out for the crazy cyclists. Cascade Springs is an interesting side route as is Timpanogos Cave.People say autumn is beautiful here but I loved the greenery of summer. We didnt see many wild animals but flowers and ferns were abundant.Be warned - there is no internet service. If you are trying to get from the loop to Midway or Heber your only help is government signs. There was very little drinking water. Take some with you.

Great drive around the mountains with a scenic view of fall from the various lookout points. While still cold fall colors are in full effect. Get there before the snow comes.

The best scenic drive in the state. Really shows off how beautiful our state is. Narrow winding roads through dense forrest. Drive with your windows down and experience some amazing Forrest scents as well.

Our family rented a van and took this loop on a Sunday with some of our family that was out of town. We got to see some wild goats that were walking about and the change of colors with the leaves was beautiful. We recommend getting out somewhere in American Fork canyon and walking around as their beautiful streams and places to have a cookout. We definitely recommend going in early fall to see all the colors change and before the snow hits.

This is my favorite scenic drive of all time. You get gorgeous views of green mountains, snow caps, caves, hiking trails, babbling creeks, and more. My favorite part is the aspen forests all over. Up here you can find a serene peace that you won’t find anywhere else.

The road is paved the whole way, but it can be very narrow in places so drive carefully. The drive is free if you agree to not stop; otherwise, its around $6 for a three day pass. When you approach Provo canyon, there are plenty of free places to stop and take pictures.

Beautiful drive, leave at least 2-3 hours to make this loop so you can enjoy and take a few pictures. If you have more time and want to hike, camp, or picnic you may have to pay a small fee but it is well worth it. Look up the Google Maps while you are driving to find all the sites on the way.
