As a professional storyteller since 1994 and founder of the Story Crossroads Festival, I am thrilled for such a choose-your-own-adventure experience such as Legacy: Fables. This is the next thing in the performance art world that is beautifully done with perfect ambiance and skill. Most of our Story Crossroads Board got to experience along with some youth. This was as engaging for the adults as it was for the youth. A shout out to Daniel, our Watcher for the evening. I fully support and will gladly tell people about this unique experience.
It was great fun! Daniel, our facilitator was absolutely amazing! He was able to take whatever we came up with (no matter how random) and turn it into a great adventure, complete with sound effects. The room, atmosphere and mood music added to the entire experience. Just be sure to take a flashlight or cell phone with a light so you can read your identity cards. They are important and the room has pretty subdued lighting, which adds to the fun.
This place is so fun! Don’t miss out on an amazing night out with friends or family! You will have the best time going on an adventure together.
This is such an immersive and interactive set up. The guide of the story gives you each a character and you make choices in an extremely intense situation based on your character card description. I had such a blast. I will be going back again for sure.
My group had tons of fun here. We have never tried anything like this but went in looking to have a good time and it did not disappoint. Special thanks to Daniel for being the watcher for our story.
As a member of the Executive Committee of Story Crossroads and a professional storyteller, I can say that the result of an experience with Legacy Fables is as an enjoyable story as any I have heard. Each member plays a role and contributes his/her ideas which create change and a lot of fun.I heartily recommend an experience with Legacy Fables. .
Our watcher, Daniel, was FANTASTIC!! I have never played Dungeons and Dragons, but I had a blast! It was so much fun to make up my answers in response to the story, I loved the ambiance, and it was well worth my money. If you could get a group together for a date, a party, whatever... DO IT.
I was invited by some friends and my initial reaction was that this probably wasnt going to be my kind of thing. But I was wrong. I loved it. It was unlike anything Ive done but Ive already told several people about it. And attention to detail was really impressive--in the lobby, the room itself, all the props, etc. Highly recommend if youre looking for something new on a weekend or want a cool date night.
Ton of fun! Daniel, our Watcher was really good at his job! Im an experienced gamer, so this wasnt anything new for me. BUT, I was with a group who had never done any roleplaying games before, and it was so much fun watching them start to play with it, and try new things. We had one of us who came up with the best ideas, and she loved every minute of it. This is perfect for people who want to try something new, and they dont have to be bogged down by piles of books and rules and dice and things regular rpgs have. Just try playing.
What a great activity for a group of friends! We arrived, were given a bit of orientation, and then were placed in a very cool room, decorated to fit the theme. A storyteller led us through an interactive scenario where we, as characters, got to make decisions and help move the story forward. Quite a bit of fun! Thanks, Legacy Fables!
Our family of four (two parents, a teen, a tween) had a great time. It would be fun to go back and continue our story.
This was a next level DnD experience! We happened to hear about it by chance and just had to check it out once they were open. The atmosphere is so cool and really gets you into the game! Its fun jumping into a character not knowing anything about them.
Fantastic experience. Had a ton of fun. Its cooperative storytelling so you get out of it what you put into it. Be prepared to be silly. Dont let your time run out because youre laughing! Will definitely go again!
I loved it!!!! We came for a work night as the Dragonsteel team. They were very thorough with all the decorations and stories!! It was very interactive and engaging, and the people working there are so kind and exciting. I would totally come again!!! Great place to look at coming to!!
A very unique experience with friendly staff and great atmosphere. (:Groups engage in a collective story telling and hijinks ensue. What will happen? Well, that’s really up to you, isn’t it?I made a stink bomb and flash grenade.
The experience was like an elevated fast-paced D&D session with clever mechanics that makes the game welcoming to players new to table top RPGs. The atmosphere was amazing, with the room dimly lit by candle light and set up like a table in a medieval tavern. The narrator/game master was dressed up as a fantasy story teller and his narrations were exciting and professionally done. If you are curious about what table top RPGs, are like, or a veteran, youll find the experience well worth your time! When we went, we were one of the first to go through the experience, so there were a few quirks that needed to be worked out, but even with them it was still an incredible experience that we will definitely be revisiting!
This was a truly unique and amazing experience!! We met with our watcher Annie and she took us to the enchanted realm of Horicant(sp?). Ive never done anything like this, so it was a new experience, but the story and the mission was so fun. We used our unique powers and abilities and it was all managed so well. There were 6 of us and we all had various levels of extrovertedness and Annie made sure to spread the story love and engage us all. Really fun, a ton of laughs and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Its an incredible change of pace from the normal weekend activities. Also, hell of a job on the space that you meet in. Its dynamic and beautifully decorated and the objects are clearly well procured. Awesome work!!
Extremely different date night experience! :D My favorite part was seeing everyones ideas throughout the story!
