This is a high quality place with high quality customer service. I have seen the management go above and beyond. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone:)
Ive been here three times and Ive done the Egyptian, Mob Boss, and Mad Scientist rooms. The Mob Boss might have been the most fun. The Egyptian one is tricky because youre in the dark working by lantern. Theyre fun because you question everything and walls can shift when you dont expect it.
My three friends and I had SO much fun in the Reactor Meltdown escape room! The reservations process was simple and easy. Lauren was our guide and she was fun, excited, and helpful! We were so close to solving the last puzzle when our time run out, but I think that we were given a few extra minutes which was so kind! My friends and I had so much fun, we’re already planning to come back!
We did the Egypt room. It was a challenge, but so fun! Maddie was so friendly when we came in and very efficient getting us checked in. Jessie was super fun and very supportive in our efforts to escape. I highly recommend this place. Super clean and entertaining!
The Egyptian tomb was wayyyy cool! And you arent stuck in one room the whole time
I was introduced to Get Out Games by Emmy Moon Nelson! She did a fantastic job explaining what an escape room was to me and making me feel confident that I would not only have fun, but would be successful! My husband and I had a great time and would recommend it to anyone! Thanks Emmy for a great experience!
I love this place! Weve finished all of the rooms, so I wish there were more, but the employees are so helpful and kind. You wont regret coming here, its definitely worth the money!
We had Braeden help us out with our escape room and he made the experience so much better. The people working there are great and the escape rooms are so much fun.
We tried the new room, mission to Mars. It was fun and we got close to finishing (parents, 15, 13 and 10 year old). There was a little technical difficulties at the beginning but our host was great and in character.
I did my very first escape room at Get Out Games in Provo! Thanks to Emmy, I felt like I knew what to expect and was so excited to finally experience it! Emmy is so fun and energetic and an amazing host! I cannot wait to do it again soon!!!
We did the Zombie on a Chain room and it was SO fun!! Highly recommend!!!
I came here on a group date we had a great time. We went through the heist which had a compelling story told in a humorous yet serious manner by a cool guy that plays trombone. The escape room itself had many cool puzzles but mentioning more of them then that would spoil the fun of the room. This place also has some things clearly marked that dont do anything for the puzzle so you dont go breaking their stuff, since Id rather not harm their facilities this was very nice to have.Aside from the main attraction, the lobby itself is full of cool puzzles. While you are waiting for your reservation time you can sit at one of their tables and play a little game. These range from super easy, to tedious yet fun, to insanely difficult. Its just cool to me how much theyve stuck with the theme of puzzles.Getout Games was very fun and hospitable. For a larger group of people there may be cheaper things then an escape room but this was well worth the money. I will most certainly be coming back next time I want to do an escape room.
This was a blast! Emmy was our host and she was energetic and fun. We did the whole thing as a family. I even brought my young children.
*UPDATE*One of the owners of get out games contacted me after reading my review. He apologized for the time it took. He was incredibly kind and understanding. He refunded me and gave me some awesome shirts. It’s crazy how a little bit of kindness goes along way. Most the time people can’t control employees even if they try their best...but having an owner that represents kindness and integrity is everything for a company. The facility itself is great and a fun environment. It’s been 2 years of trying to get help from staff and management for a refund. A bunch of girl friends and I booked to have a girls night. The night we were supposed to go, we all got evacuated for the elk ridge fire. The staff on the phone that night were great and told me they could refund it considering the circumstances. I have reached out multiple times with no response back. If it was just for a few tickets I wouldn’t be so upset. But the amount we booked for was $250. Just really disappointed with their customer service.
This place is awesome. One of my favorite get out type shops. The scenarios are unique and you have to work as a team in order to break the codes or find the clues to get out. We went with our cousins and it was a blast. The characters acted so well. This place is a fun time for friends, dates, or family nights out.
This place is so much fun. Its nice getting out and trying to get out of these rooms!
This place is so much fun! The rooms are challenging and entertaining. You will get a new experience every time you come. With new groups, it never feels the same and never gets boring. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
First Escape Room Ive ever done and it did NOT disappoint. Definitely recommend this for friends, date night, family experience, etc. Wicked fun for all involved.
Caden was Awesome. Space room was good but fyi there are alot of stairs
GetOut Games is such a well organized and well developed escape experience. I have done all 6 of their themed rooms and by far they are some of the best rooms I have done. And I have done over 40 escape rooms so I am speaking from a plethora of experience.
So fun!! Came here for a team building activity for work. Get out games is worth every penny. One of the funnest group activities Ive ever done!
Good workers and great attention to detail
Great games at a great price! I love comming to get out games and playing through their rooms! Done the Zombie one and the heist so far!
The room was dark. so dark I had to use the cell phone flashlight to read anything. battery killer. The room (nuclear reactor room) was some what worn. I have been to several other escape rooms that were fresh and well lit. no reason this could not have been. But the WORSE part about it is that they paired us with 4 high school girls that were on their cell phones all the time. These 4 girls jumped right in and grab 4 hidden keys and one said yeah I solved this one before. That was a real experience killer! These high school girls were yelling through the walls to their other friends in another escape room. Then called them on their cell phones. Thank God they eventually left with 20 minutes to go and we could focus on what escape rooms have to offer. The Coach giving hints for this room was very pleasant. Customer beware that there is no vetting or filter for who you get paired up with. I have done escape rooms with 4 or 6 people and never forced to get paired up with anyone until this place.
It was super fun and went really well. In the beginning the guy mixed up our keys so we lost some time but it was still a well made escape room.
Great place. highly recommend. Collin was the bomb. Ryan on his knees and was quite handy. the guy at the front desk was super friendly, love to answer questions, so ask him a lot of them.
We had such an amazing experience. This was our first escape room. I took my daughter and a group of her friends today for her 13th birthday. We went in the zombie room. They were so good with the kids. I cant wait to go back again and try their other rooms.
This place is a lot of fun. The staff is very professional. There are 6 different escape rooms in Provo location. I tried The Heist room. It was fun to try to solve the clues and see how clever they were set up.
Always fantastic! Great staff, great rooms. I really enjoy the space room, just generally a lot of fun!
Maybe dont charge your phone with a nuclear reactor...but Im no physisist
This is probably the best escape room in the world. I have done all of their rooms (because I’m like rich or something) and really love the zombie room! I love how this escape room doesn’t have limits on the hints but also won’t give you too many if you don’t want them. Very receptive to the groups needs. It’s also one of the best priced escape rooms I’ve been to and they are better than some of the pricier ones. I heard they’re building a new room that’s space themed and I’m super excited.
Getout games is lots of fun! Its a perfect outing for a group of people to work together and have a good time. The process was very safe and immersive.
This is the third escape room I have done. It has also been the cheapest cost for the three--which may explain why I was somewhat disappointed. We played the reactor meltdown room. It was fun. However I think that the clues and the interaction of the clues was not as coordinated as other rooms I have done have been (secret compartments opened by magnetic clues, add water here to conduct electric current to open a clue, solve a clue on one side of the room and a reaction happens on the other, etc.). Overall it was decent for the price.
UPDATE: The company has reached out and sent the vouchers that were promised. The person I was communicating with has been very apologetic and helpful. I do plan on trying them again and im really hoping my third experience is closer to the first time I went, but, I live on the east coast and wont get back there for 1-2 years.Ive been to get out games twice. The first room was wonderful and we had a wonderful game master. The second time we went was a horrible experience. The room wasnt ready so we had to wait 20 min. The A/C in the room was broken and we were on a top floor in July. It was dangerously hot in the room and we were all miserable. The game master was not great at communicating with us before and during the game. Some of the puzzles malfunctioned so we had to wait on the game master to come help us. I sent an email to the company about this and 3 days later they responded asking if we wanted vouchers to come back. I responded that that would be great. That was over a week ago and they havent verified or given us any vouchers.
Really fun experience. The workers playing parts were really fun as well.
Ive done 2 of their rooms, one with my brothers(13yr-27yr) and the other with my old roommates (~22yr). The puzzles require thinking outside the box and the employees will offer tips by radio if youre really falling behind. It seems expensive at first, but Im already wanting to go back, so it must not be too bad!
Super fun place! The rooms are very well put together and the staff is friendly and informative.
Went here a few times, the staff was always friendly and they did a lot to make it fun!
Ive done the heist, zombie and Egyptian tomb. They were all super fun but the zombie one was unique because it had an actor in the room which made it more entertaining.
This is such a fun group activity if your looking for something to do!!! I loved going. 5 out of 5 would recommend to everyone!
So much fun! They have awesome rooms and we loved the adventure!
Did my son’s birthday party here and they had a great time trying to escape the Pharoah’s tomb!
This was totally fun. We went as a group of 5 and worked together to solve the puzzles. Very realistic scenario and props/items, great variety in the types of puzzles you need to solve in order to get out. Youre given an hour and we barely made it out with about a minute left. Highly recommended! A little pricey at $20/person, but fun as a special occasion.
We didnt quite make it but had a great time trying! Super clever puzzles that were just the right amount of challenge for my family of teens and adults. My advice is dont be ashamed to ask for clues. One part of the puzzle hadnt been set up correctly for our group. We should have asked as soon as we were suspicious that something had been left out. Once we brought it to their attention, our host quickly gave us the missing clue and we were on our way again.
They have some of the best escape rooms! We have done all of them and they are all so much fun! Zombie room and Egyptian are my favorite.
We had a fun as a family activity. The clues were difficult but not impossible. It was great.
We had the Heist room for my birthday and it went great! We solved it with 2 minutes to spare! Fun experience, glad we didnt have a bigger group as some people may not have been involved but with just 4, we all participated.
Excellent double date activity, even for old married couples!....
GRACIE! She is what made our experience soooo great. Wow, that girl was helpful and darling and accommodating and really got into the make believe of it all. Would 12/10 recommend going to an escape room managed by her, if for no other reason than to meet what a sweet sweet lady she is. The game was fun—more difficult than expected—but Gracie gave us a few well timed clues to help keep our spirits up! Would go again.
The story telling added to the atmosphere. We did the zombie on a chain and the actress that played the zombie was funny and quirky. They would give us hints even though we never asked for them but it didnt bother me to much. The puzzles were fun to figure out and the zombie added a new challenge to it.
Even though my group didnt get out, we still had fun. I would recommend bringing a mixture of both simple and genius people in your group. Also, if you are in the reactor room, we found an unused message. Even the employees dont know about it. Try finding it sometime.Other than that, the room was fun. They have great staff members. They are very good at making an active environment. The rooms are so nice, usually 2 rooms together. These are great for parties. I have been here many times, and never was disappointed.
The zombie we had in our escape room was awesome. He kept us on edge and did not over do it being a zombie! The zombie trainer we had was also great! Highly recommend trying it out!
So fun! Got to go there for class and do The Heist room. It was super challenging but very doable. Good for older kids and adults. The design of the room was so intricate and thorough.
We had so much fun! Very accommodating to your group (I have social anxiety and didnt want to be put in a random group and they happily allowed my group to go alone). The puzzles are challenging but not impossible, and the hints they give dont give it away completely. The workers role play so well and it is just an all-around pleasant experience! I highly recommend this for a date night or just for fun with friends!
I used to work at Getout Games, so I know the ins and outs of how it works behind the scenes. If I hadnt had to move away, I imagine I would have worked there for years. The management is kind and positive, the staff is friendly and energetic, and the games themselves are unlike anything I have experienced elsewhere. As part of my job, I tried several competing escape rooms in the area, and even years later I can confidently say without bias that Getout Games rooms are the most involved, clever, well-made, fair, and surprising. This experience is a MUST while you are in Provo with friends!
EDIT: I had originally given two stars for the reasons below, but the customer service here went above and beyond to help us out and make our experience great. They are awesome and I would recommend coming here!Ive heard good things about Get out Games, but 2 stars because my first experience made me not really want to come back. We started 25 minutes after our expected start time and our safe ended up breaking and not working and we had to have the worker come in and fix it during out escape time. Nice people and staff just was a subpar experience.
WE HAD THE BEST TIME TODAY!!!We did The Heist and it was a challenge, had to ask for help but we made it out!! big thank you to Gracie & Kaylee (i think that was their names) they were the sweetest and helped a lot!!!Everyone needs to do an escape room at least once in their life. My family will definitely be back!!! (:
Tyler was a great actor! The hero room was awesome. Brought. A school group for the evening and we all had a blast!!!! Thanks for making such a great room.
Had a great time with my friends in the Reactor Room! Fun puzzles, good atmosphere, it was cool figuring everything out. Reserving the last star for a couple of small nitpicks:First, ventilation in the room was lacking, so 10 warm bodies plus the smoke they pumped in got really toasty by the end (and we finished with 15 minutes to spare).Second, the staff was a little *too* helpful over the intercom. As mentioned, we had 15 minutes to spare by the end, but part of that was from hints that we didnt ask for, which we probably would have figured out by the end.Other than that, it was a perfectly recommendable experience!
This was so much fun. my group did egyptian tomb. no spoilers but having more people (we had 7) seemed kind iof necessary, so im glad all of my friends made it. i like the atmosphere.
This was my first escape room experience and I really enjoyed it. I did the Superhero escape room the room was in great condition and looked great. It provided a good challenge and overall was a lot of fun. Our moderator, Gracey, did a great job setting the mood. I plan on coming back and trying some other rooms with friends and family.
A lot of fun, just be sure to go in a big group or else youll be a little too slow... Unless youre either a genius, or super observant.
This is the best escape room in Utah!
This was so much fun. We had a large group so they split us into 2 groups and we did The Heist. It was fun to see who could meet the objective first. I do wish that the rooms had been cooler (more air) and had more light.
I have been here a couple of times and always have a positive experience! Their puzzles are fun and room themes entertaining!
A fun way to spend an hour. My wife and I went, and were added to another group. We got seriously close to finishing on time.
The staff is stellar and they all love their jobs. It shows. The puzzles are challenging and clever, as well. Ive grown up on games like Myst and The Labyrinth of Time, so on the first visit I expected this to be a breeze.Didnt escape in time. The other two rooms have been just as entertaining and challenging. Great for groups of friends.
I went tonight with some friends, and not only had a great time, but was super impressed by GetOut Games. The waiting area was really nice, and the escape room was epic. There’s men and women’s bathroom in the waiting room/ lobby as well.We did the Egyptian Tomb room and loved it! The atmosphere, guide, props, clues, sound effects, etc. we’re very cool and we’ll done; we really had a blast!I loved that they gave us unlimited hints, if we wanted/ needed them, which was particularly helpful because our 4th person couldn’t come, and so we did the room with just 3 people (but we made it out with 2 minutes to spare ).It’s roughly $20 a person, and you can schedule online. You have to be punctual, and you get 1 hour to escape.Parking is a little tricky, but the escape room experience is well worth a little walk! I’m excited to come back and bring my family/ friends to check it out.
We did the Reactor room as a family and it was so exciting, intense and had the coolest clues to crack! The staff did some great acting and were so helpful! We made it out with only seconds to spare, I highly recommend Getout Games!!!
Great fun every once in a while. Great experience design.
Customer service was extremely poor! We felt like we were cattle hurried along to leave once the experience was over. Instructor had no energy and came across like she didn’t like her job. When you spend that kind of money, you’d think the employees would be more engaging and go out of their way to make your experience worth it. Not impressed!
I think its lame that they will let you buy two tickets but wont let you play with two people. Other escape rooms with a minimum player policy make you buy at least 4 tickets. Getout was good about refunding my money but it ruined my evening and it was a hassle.
I loved the staff we had he played his part so so well, keep it up it was Awesome!
A good variety of escape room.
Really fun! Ive been here twice and both times have been great, however (Spoiler Alert) when we did reactor room, a magnet that is attached to a measuring tape, vital to escaping was apparently missing, so we spent a good while trying to go on without it and then Nichole had to come in and give it to us (I guess they just have extras in the back?). We lost time that possibly could have lead to us succeeding, but they made it right afterwards over email
Was a super in-depth, with some amazing brain picking puzzles. I will definitely be doing more puzzle rooms after this one. Went in with some random people and by the end we were all friends.
This was my first time at an escape room and it was so much fun! I highly recommend Get Out Games! We were treated so great and had an amazing time!
This place is a whole lot more fun than I expected. If I get the chance to go back anytime soon I definitely will. There were bits that were fairly cheesy and a little cringey but I guess thats to be expected. Overall a very enjoyable experience. They do a great job keeping the competition level high and that makes everything fun.
Great experience. The puzzles were very clever and fit the theme nicely. One of the puzzle elements failed, and the moderator needed to come in and reset it, but otherwise, an ingenious setup.
This place is so fun!! We did the Egyptian tomb one with some friends and family. Made it out with like two minutes to spare!! I would definitely recommend going here at least once, and as for me Im definitely going again sometime in the near future.
We had an excellent time. It was great family bonding and fun! It was hard but not impossible. All the clues were clever. We look forward to another game soon!
Getout Games was my first escape room experience. Members of my family and I chose The Heist and had a really good time. There is definitely a strategy to completing one of these escape room experiences in the allotted 60 minutes. The next time we do it we will be better organized as to how we find and solve the clues. I asked a member of the Getout Games staff how many teams successfully escape their rooms and he mentioned it was around 70%. As it was we asked for about 4 or 5 hints throughout the hour and its likely we wouldnt have escaped in time without that little extra help. The only downside for me was that I felt the price was a little too high for the value delivered. Still, it was tons of fun!
We went for a company party to Getout Games. Everyone loved it. We were able to race another team from our office in the heist rooms. It was a good team building exercise and just fun all around. The two guys working were fun and helpful. I wish I could remember their names but they were awesome. Great experience all around!
Fun to experience, but make sure you have a decent sized group of people with you. There was only two of us and it would have been extremely helpful to have more ideas when you get stuck.
THIS WAS THE BOMB!! We did the Epyptian room and it was a total blast. We plan on going back and doing another room or two. The customer service was top notch and the pricing was great for a date night. The puzzles were a fun challenge and the room was very professional. The ending was great! Can’t say enough about this place.
Ive been to a lot of escape rooms, but Getout Games is easily the best. Their puzzles are complex and compelling, without being overly difficult. They strike a great balance between the puzzles being a real challenge and still being solvable within the accord time. The staff is great, they run the rooms well, and everything works great. I love this place.
This place has a great staff! Very helpful and interactive actors. Did this as part ofmy brothers bachelor party. Super fun for a group of four or five people. Great activity for adults!
Great group activity for fun people. A variety of mind puzzles to tickle your mental prowess. See which of your friends is smartest!
One of the clues was broken. I would also say that just because they allow a certain amount of people at one time doesnt mean you should go with that many. Your experience will be many times better in a smaller group.
Full disclosure. I am a pretty intelligent fella. I figured an escape room would be a walk in the park with a brain like mine. Turns out that I am, in fact, an idiot. I was useless at this. My family pulled out all the stops and connected dots that I didnt even know existed. We escaped with 3 minutes to spare and I went home, closed the door and took a bath in the dark to re-evaluate my life. We all had a blast, the acting was splendid, and while my ego took a substantial hit, maybe there is someone in your own family/friendship circle who needs some humble pie.
We came with a 28-person school group and had a great time. Highly recommend it for a teamwork-development activity, or just for fun.
