Kids loved this little section of Grant Park and the playground right next to it. Fountains were on and they enjoyed splashing and cooling off on a 90+ degree day in Portland.

One of the fountains was broken but but it was a cool sculpture area. Smaller than I anticipated. But a cool stop only if you’re in the area.

Beverly Cleary is one of the more famous childrens book writers from Portland. I loved her books as a child, and love these statues dedicated to her characters and books.

I took a nap here and thought about why we make this world so hard for each other. We all have the answers to solve our problems but we dont put forth the effort to change or fix what we have control over. We dont help those around us enough or as much as we can. I know Ive fallen off my path and have not lived up to my full potential but have nothing to guide me but my own instincts.I suggest you take a nap here as well.

Any fan of her books should go here. The scuptures are very well done and bring to life the three best characters from her stories. I went to see to dog and I was impressed with how well the got the proportion and features right. Not a big place and its tucked behind some trees, if youre a fan you cant miss it!!

I never visited this place, Google maps seems to think that I visited this place and asked me to do a review on it... Even tho Ive never even heard of it.Im Paraplegic, Im largely home bound and dont leave my apartment complex, which is nowhere near this establishment... I dont understand why I keep getting these notifications for places Ive never been.*note the star rating I left is simply because it wouldnt let me post this without one. I have no idea if it is accurate or not.

Located in Portland. It was easy to get to and to find parking. Believe your navigation because you may not see it from the street. Park on the street and go into the Park where you will see the statues of Ribsy, Henry, and Ramona arranged around a flat fountain area. Its just fun to walk up to them and envision them all playing together. Klickitat Street here we come!

A great space to run and play. I read all the Ramona books as a kid and have been reading them to my own daughter. She got a kick out of the statues, especially Ribsy!

What a delightful surprise. I crew up reading all about Ramona and her friends. Beverly Clearys books were just a way of life. I had no idea this was here. I was working at a friends house and decided to take my dog for a walk. My Friend suggest Grant Park, and pointed me in the right direction. Thats when I found the Sculpture Garden.
