Nice big park. Lots of landmines:(
Powell Park is still a bright, busy park, as it always had been. There is a port a potty right now in lieu of the bathrooms being closed. There is a dry small homeless presence later in evening, but not of any significance.
Good place to go and play ball field fenced on three sides so its also a good place to bring your pet dont forget to bring the leash
We parked on the street to eat our meal, very few people in the park and the park was manicured and appeared clean.
Its a beautiful park to kickback and relax and have a picnic. just left there.
Next to a very busy road. Lots of traffic noise. Today I was there and someone walked by and grabbed my friends bag and then kept walking as if we wouldnt notice. Got the bag back. Long story short, its a good park, just be careful.
Its convenient and has a bmx/skate park
Great park to come and tan at!
This is just a nice basic little park next to where I work. Nothing super special but all you need for some fun or relaxation....baseball field, basketball court and small playground. Its also surrounded by HUGE oak trees so its a nice oasis in a densely populated area.
Huge open field. Slides, swings, seesaw, merry go round and s basketball court for kids to play. Bathrooms that are open as well.
Limited parking access, but a nice place to hang out
Its pretty dirty and gross
Its very clean and near my home
Its a fine park I guess
Nice cozy park to hangout at, kids have area to play nice field for dogs to run and play and can have a bbq with friends.
This is a great Park, I know because I once lived here in my van, but then the city said no more overnight parking... .can anyone tell me & the world were do the homeless....the poor... & Those who are sick... They took the mental homes away...what if youre family needs help.
This park has great trees. The jungle gym/ playground is a little small for my liking so I avoided it. But still a great park overall. Would definetly return.
Very confortable
The park itself was fine. Disappointed with staff communication. My daughter had called & reserved the covered area for a party for 10:30 Saturday. Got there & building was locked. After several phone calls someobe showed up at 1pm to unlock. By then too late as party was almost over & we set up in grass. Nobody at park bureau told us we needed to pick up key. Weather was great & 5year old grandson had great time with his friends. Restroom was dirty & had used needles in it. Very disappointed in City of Portland & how they run things. Doug who came out was very nice & did clean up the restroom
Great hiking trails and excellent views
This is a nice clean Park you can bring your family and kids here
Nice park to chill
Ive enjoyed this park for abt 4yrs. Youll find all walks of life here!
Summer hoops, bout 2 blocks from my buddies as well as jogging on the grass!
The park on the 26th end is safe. The 22nd end is occupied by homeless that blocks the sidewalk with trash and items. The homeless keeps on coming back despite the illegal campsite notices.
Powell Park is a cool little park at the baseball diamond and a little bit of a walking area. Theres a small playground including a little Merry-Go-Round for kids to spin on and teeter totters. I raided three stars because of its location not the cleanest place not dangerous but also not the safest. It is right off of Powell so its easy to find.there is no Park parking but you can park along the side on a side street near businesses and some homes. Last I was there I parked along the side of the park and there was some used needles on the ground on with an empty pack. Hence why I mentioned it wasnt the cleanest. The playground area seemed to be free of any harmful left-behind items.
Very nice park. Well groomed and taken care of.
Fantastic park. Baseball field, Nike basketball court, play structures, and plenty of walking paths! So many huge trees to walk under and admire. I love this park, its in the center of the Portland area, so easy to access, and easy to miss! Its a large park with on street parking in a busy part of town.
Good place to golf dronk or sober just aim for the green
I love this park and always feel safe here!
I love this park! Its big and is busy all the time. Basketball is nice here in the summer and big lawn for activities and games
No parking
It is fun
Fun place for the dog to run around and to play ball with my husband. No complaints!
Took a pup I was house/pet sitting here with a bag of random toys and a 50 Foot log leash. I do like the park and their is amble room to run. Downside? People hang out by the fences with bags of stuff and watch you- gave me erriy feeling. We didnt stay long unfortunately.
Kids love its close by so thats nice. But occasionaly there are homless people that like to scream at each other.
Its just another little park. Typical portland minimal
Its a cool park my kids love it and i like that its so close to home.
Cause its relaxes your mind
Very fun when riding my segway
Beautiful park. Plenty of room to frolic or whatever. Theres always a few campers. Great playground equipment.
Better known for drug deals then as a place for sports and the like. Permanent homeless camps on the Western edge add to the dis-ease.
Busy park, difficult to find a parking lot close to the playground area. But a nice spot :)
Good place for walkig.
So good and the people are professionals.
Love it.
A quaint community park in southeast Portland. Better than an average park.
Tall slide and still has a merry-go-round
You can always find people at Powell park. It serves a multitude of different types of people from wee babys to old-timers.
Dissapointed there were no benches or picknick tables, otherwise nicely maintained
Nice quiet kids park. Its in portland tho,so parking can be an issue
Filthy, pots potty burned big hole no privacy.
Very nice baseball field!
Great place to take dogs, great place for children, it has fenced-in areas, and street parking.
I like the drugs and sex. Lives up the place. What I dont like are entitled, whining reviewers who expect the homeless problem in this city to just solve itself whilst posting happy feels signs in their yard about how they are tolerant of other people. You dont get to pick and choose when it comes to humanity...
Nice neighborhood green space.
Its more stationary than itinerant
I used to take walks on my lunch here until it started to fill up with campers.I once walked past someone making a spit volcano which stayed in the middle of the sidewalk for a few days. Not very appetizing...When my young daughter comes to visit me on my lunch we used to go for walks in the park until I found a needle in the bushes...I used to eat lunch on the bleachers on nicer days but the rats are a little aggressive since there is so much trash...It really bothers me that this is a place for kids, next to a high school and I see drug use, discarded needles, and people who think this is their own trash dump! Not a great park but it does seem to be the norm for the inner Portland parks.
The park have lots of open space for events . It have the basic, a marry go round, see saw,, a slide and a little jungle gym for smaller kids. several bike paths a basketball court.and Restrooms. Seems to be kept up at all times.
Ive never been to a city park that doesnt have benches. Very weird to me. Overall it was clean.
Lovely place for some city park vibes.Powell is a busy street, so it wont be too quiet. But its located very close to the city.
Ok park. Good for a quick walk with your dog or a pick up basketball game.
Great for hanging out with friends
I dont know how it is never been there
Its a wonderful place in the summer, baseball, soc.,hooping,or feed the birds,or whatever.
What can I say fast-food chicken but better than KFC. I I have always like the Southern Style Chicken better than that other kind.
My service dog loves it its a pretty good-size Park
Really nice park real clean nice ballfields basketball courts bathrooms good place to take your kids
Amazing climbing trees, swings, basketball...
My son loves this park its a great place to go to meet friendly children from the Ethiopian community
Great spot to lay down under the trees! There is a playground, basketball court, baseball field, and plenty of spots for gatherings!
It was good to get out and play for a moment. Even if it was raining.
Great Camping along the MyersCorp fence-line, but set up early to claim anything close. Forget the spots against the fence, for many years each has enjoyed a waiting line full of top PDX camping legends, take it from me, you aint got a chance.Another tip for you MF-line seekers is... Up with the Sun! Sure theres plenty of room for you and your peeps along the wide path. And you cant believe its after sunset and not one camper has claimed any of it.Thats because the local Powell Park regulars know that the guy that aims the sprinklers in the ballpark, hates that the big tent & sleeping bag makers keep getting away with calling their cheap stuff water resistant, and the average 1st time tent buyer falls for their lies. Soaking you with water about 4 AM is his idea of getting the truth out.Speaking of the great staff, l hope Portland has quite a gold watch planned for the one fella brave enough to do the scheduled servicing on the parks famous HoneyBucket. No telling what you will see when you force open that door, ignoring that red occupied indicator, after 20 minutes of hoping to wake the tweeker nodding inside. The city should at least provide him with body armor and pay for his disposable nose plugs.
Its convenient but not very quiet
Very good place to relax or make out with your boyfriend
Nice local park with playground, basketball courts, and baseball fields
Love it here
Looks cool has a big tree specied
Not the greatest of SE. Parks. But plenty of space
I work next to Powell City Park, and walk around it often. It is not the nicest of parks, but it is a change from staring at a computer screen all day. Students from Cleveland High School can often be found here usually just hanging out, but often playing sports too. There are sometimes a lot of small children playing in the playground. I think some of them might be from a local daycare. There are also a lot of homeless people that hang out in Powell City Park. They seem to have been successful in discouraging the camping that use to happen frequently. For a highly used park on an incredibly busy street it isnt a such a bad spot. I would not, however, visit it if I wasnt already in the neighborhood. It isnt a destination.
I love going to this park
Beautiful walk
I think its pretty nice.
Great for being sad and mooking
Nice park good amenities
Its small and kind of dirty.
Good soccer field, just a lot of trash from homeless so feels dirty!
Cleaned up a bit but could be cleaner
Full of tents, make shift shelters & garbage left from transients. Restrooms filthy
They should have a skatepark
A place your kids can run around play on several play structure. Usually not too busy. Most people who go there with their kids are friendly.
Great park for kids.
Highschoolers go there to light up joints, homeless tend to over run it as well, not the ideal place to take any childHowever for teens it seems to be a hot spot with a burger joint nearby
Just a great neighborhood park!
Normal park next to factory. Nothing too out of the ordinary
Its a park where u can watch kids play games
Amazing Red oaks!
Park is fun
