Very nice ride. Rode from the park near McCall & Gasparilla to the Causeway and over Causeway. There were other parks/parking areas along the trail so you can adjust your mileage. Rode over an inland bridge and people were fishing in mangoves. Had to pay a cash toll to go over bridge on bike but totally worth it. Water at Causeway is gorgeous and there were iguanas on rocks. We ate at the Fishery near Coral Creek Fishing Pier and enjoyed it - rode bikes right up to it.

This trail is nearly perfect for measured walks. It has trail markers every 1/2 mile. We made it to 4 1/2 on the first day. 9 miles total, good way to loose weight.

One of the best bike trails we have been on in Southwest FL. Most of it shaded and a nice long straight ride.

Great flat paved trail perfect for a leisurely bike ride or nice walk. The path is well maintained, and for at least the furst two miles, is wheelchair accessible. Like others have said, theres not a lot of spectacular views since both sides are treelined, but there are a few nice spots and lots of birs, bunnies and other small critters around.

Great trail for biking. Facilities are decent at the beginning and end of the trail. Lots of wildlife to be seen. Well rode the trail from the parking lot by the golf course just after Gasparilla Marina to the end by 776. Stopped for lunch at superday which had surprisingly good food and pizza for a gas station.

Love the trail, however bathrooms are not locked after 5:00pm like other Florida State Parks.Because of this, the homeless & drug addicted have taken it over. They lock themselves in the bathrooms at night & hoard them otherwise. They use the electric plugs at the bathrooms & hypodermic needles have been present. Both Cape Haze Pioneer Trail staff & local Police have been notified, but the issue persists. Sorry..no longer safe until resolved.

Nice trail. I used it for rollerblading, the first section from the parking lot to the trailhead is a little rough for skates, but once you past that smooth sailing. Was not very crowded on a weekday afternoon. Well maintained.

Bike trail is nicely paved, making for an enjoyable ride. The trail signs and Internet information are inaccurate, and should be updated. State that trail is 3.1 miles long and we turned around after 7 miles.
