As usual..... The Cultural Center Thrift Store had a couple of items on my GOTTA HAVE IT list. I absolutely love this place.
I think its great that they offer free Wi-Fi Library bookstore classes Sunday they must have been so busy on Sundays theres people there every day every week and never end someday we classes to ticket classes to kids get together and music classes everything all Under One Roof we just ate Ill show you what we got the 20 bucks food was really good I think judging by my wifes face and I think she was impressed but theyre open 8 to breakfast and lunch and then Saturday 8 to 10:30
I loved to go dancing in the Big Room. It was the best and biggest dance floor in the whole area.Meanwhile they got a new, very uneven floor with rinks all over>> youre ruining your dance shoes.Im a Ballroom Dancer for decades; such a dance floor I saw only at small towns yearly dance in a barn!If you are organizing a dance event, consider another location!!!
Nice Christmas Craft fair
Frog and I and Andrew went there today
My husband won tickets through a local radio station and were told to pick up tickets at the box office. Well thats another story. My husband was treated like he was trying to scam them. He was grilled about the tickets like they had NO idea what he was talking about. 4 different people questioned him and stated there were no tickets but well find you seats somewhere. By this time we were completely out of the mood to see the show. No professionalism what so ever. Incompetent and rude. We wont being doing this again anytime soon!
Activities going on all the time. Computer classes, art and music classes. Food is good in the cafeteria. Helpful volunteers all around. Very nice place to visit.
Burgers are great here. Big and juicy.
I was at the librarys used book shop and found three great books. My wife found four books that she had been looking for (we have different reading interests.) The total came to $6.50, what a great buy for some really good books.
The Cultural Center houses a variety of activities all under one roof. They include:The Port Charlotte Public Library.A book store. The Learning Center offering classes in arts, crafts and languages.A theater featuring concerts and lectures.A thrift shop.A cafeteria serving lunch and dinner.Card games and other activities for senior citizens. The lobby is an official location of the Art in Public Places program sponsored by the Arts and Humanities Council of Charlotte County. In the interest of full release this review may be influenced by the fact that I am:1. Learning Spanish at the Learning Center.2. A member of the Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County.
This place should not qualify as a cultural center . Theres nothing cultural about it . Venues as such should offer shows that represent different foreign countries in music, dance and theatre . They are a staff of close minded individuals that offer dull events with no consideration to their audience or local residents .Its truly too bad for the community as they add no pride to our town . Its decor is extremely outdated and they cannot think outside the box . Their stage presentations are dull and quite insulting since I paid for a ticket . Ive seen better shows in public schools . Dont waste your time supporting a center that claims to be exactly what it is not ... cultural . It should be called The Depressing Center not cultural by any means .Don t waste your time and I do not recommend it at all . Head to Sarasota or Fort Myers instead .
The cultural center has lots of things to look at and purchase for small amounts of money and their food in the cafeteria isnt all that bad either they have good portions and everything is good service as well. Id like everyone that reads this to take advantage of going to the cultural center and see whats available they got small little shops in there and if you know what youre looking for you find it.
Its a nice place to visit but I wouldnt buy your clothes or your furniture youre too high priced you can go to a thrift shop for a flea market cheaper I understand the money goes to charity well when I go to some of these other places so does the money that goes to them goes to charity like Goodwill the Army Surplus so this is why its nice but I buy my stuff other places theyre too high priced over the cultural center overall its nice place to go the food is good with very reasonable
What a great venue. A people pleasing centre with wonderful surprises every time you go. What could be more fun than a companionable outing at a reasonable price with down home genuine people. This is a gem.
I was looking for a desk. The Cultural Center is hit or miss as they sell items that are donated. Today was a miss for me. I may just go to Staples or Office Depot.
Excellent community meeting place and hosting of many private and public events. Low cost breakfasts and lunches, educational courses, gym, theatre, thrift stores and host of various service clubs including Charlotte Harbor Rotary on Tuesdays at 7am. Also hosts the award winning Charity Trivia Nights on the second Wednesday of every month at 6.15pm. This event is now in its 7th year and has helped many local non-profits.
Last year I saw godspell there and it was amazing. Annie jr is on the 27th. Can’t wait!!!
Friendly atmosphere for all ages and good food too
Amazing venue where they have the best entertainment to enjoy yourself and a variety of classes for everyone to learn new things.
As the videographer for Gulfshore Opera, it was such a pleasure working with the wonderful staff at the Culture Center of Charlotte County on November 17th, where we were all treated to the Gulfshore Tenors. What an entertaining evening It was.Ron
People who give negative reviews only have a negative lifestyle hopefully they will never come back. This place has so much happening for everyone you have to come see it for yourself. .It doesnt get much better, Thanks for your Public Service.
This is truly a place to find cultural events and good music any time.
If you enjoy cat piss embedded furniture and resale items from Charlotte countys dead residents I highly recommend you visit this place. Decrepit and depressing are the only two words that come to mind when I think of this place.
