There is so much to see and do in downtown Plano! The upgrades that have happened over the last few years have amazed me. There are so many different places to eat and shop (even during covid)! I was impressed with the amount of outdoor seating available which made for covid eating out to be safe and fun. Highly recommend a weekend trip!

I have lived in Plano Since 1993 the old red brick road is original from that time period and beyond for sure my father used to go there for 5 centMovies back in the 40”s There are lots of old shops restaurants and bars within a five minute walk Probably one of the safest areas in Dallas Fort Worth to walk around late at night. Go have some drinks and not worry about anything dart station is next-door we know the local cops and they say you would have to beg to be arrested if you’ve been drinking they do not do you mess with youSo go drink eat and be merry in safety with no worries

Historic Plano is a place to behold. It’s a short jaunt from Wylie from where I would visit with my grandchildren and daughter. A beautiful park in which to play is nearby. A Dart train takes you into Dallas, if you choose. It’s always an adventure for young & old!

This is an awesome place for dates or to hang out with friends. Easily accessible by train and lots of locally owned businesses to support. Or if you are looking for a free date, the park is beautiful. There are also events and community theater performances on occasion, so check the downtown plano website for the calendar.

Downtown Plano has a lot to do. There is a great little park to walk around. Plenty of landmarks to learn about. There is a farmers market that always has fresh local produce. Great choice for coffee either at 14 Street Coffee or XO Coffee. Its also the home of the best hair salon called The Hair Parlour. You wont be disappointed with any of these visits.

Downtown Plano has really grown into one of the most vibrant areas of the DFW area. There are plenty of great restaurants to eat at, the atmosphere is fun and relaxing, and there are always interesting events taking place. It feels like a downtown area should be.

Love downtown plano, it’s unique in its vibe, people, restaurants and shopping! It also supports local vendors. The events are well run, varied and fun! The farmers market is the very best, great products and the owners have so much knowledge and support local growers. I’ll give it 5-stars when the sidewalk construction is complete and it’s easier to cross the roads.

Nice place to hang out if you were to live in the apartments nearby, but its all small restaurants and outdoor seating now. What happened to the beautiful antique shops and tea shop? Only one side of the street has stores to be shopped in while the rest are eateries. Some of the stores are empty with no businesses using the facilities.

The downtown area has a classic look to it with small shops, restaurants, a park with a gazebo, bandstands etc. It has an old world feel but then also has newer buildings surrounding it. Centrally located off the community rail, this is definitely a great spot to visit!

Theres a stage in downtown Plano that has Christmas lights on it and is up all year round. There are several tables and chairs for people to stop and rest at. My buddy went to play his guitar on the stage and I brought backgammon and played it with some friends and strangers. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops and boutique stores around here and the train line stops right in downtown so you dont have to worry about driving or parking. If you do drive there is a good amount of parking to be found just make sure you dont park in a space reserved for the handicapped or the cops and look out for spots that have time restraints. This area is patrolled by Plano Police and therefore it is a safe area to explore but be careful for the same reasons. Your vehicle is also not likely to get broken into in the parking lots around there. There is also a 7-Eleven but it closes at midnight boooo.

Love downtown! The shops are fun and unique, there are art galleries and the restaurants are very good. Several pubs/bars are also located here and on any given night you can find something to match your mood, from a hip rooftop bar to a low key English pub. I enjoy the wine walks they have monthly April-Nov and my friends and I have gotten to know several of he shop owners this way.
