Well kept play area... but the disc golf part is below average if you like disc golf

Shawnee DG course would be great for beginners and anyone who is trying out new discs. Pretty wide open for the most part, with a few technical approach holes. Overall nice course, not crowded, and spaced out well. If youve never played it before, definitely take a pic of the course map. Recommended!

The park is small and cozy. The pond had clear water where you can see the little fishes and the tiny turtles. Many small critters are residents to this park. (Rabbits and Squirrels) The park amenities were clean, the people are friendly, the basketball court can get a little crowded and rowdy... They also have an ultimate frisbee course that you can use with family and friends.

Its large and has a very good pavilion! There is a frisbee golf course here too! Park boarders a neighborhood that is super friendly, and a farm that sells fresh milk products. You can get fresh yogurts and unpasteurized milk at the farm!Lavon farms! Entrance is on Jupiter, across from Collin College, Plano campus, Spring Creek Rd. Just North of Parker Rd. Lucky Layla dairy!

This has 2-3 fun holes, but has enough space for 9 holes utilized by 18 holes. Youll throw *at*other people on another tee crossing your throw, or throw twice from the same tee to different holes. Wide open, mostly without trees. Surprised this was well reviewed - one of my least favorite courses Ive ever played.

Beautifully kept. Shawnee Park is a simple course excellent for training or getting into the sport. Long holes with few obstacles means lots of shots without worrying about losing your disc.

My local Frisbee Park! This place is rad...people come out there all the time to frisbee. Most are friendly and good natured, I have never met a mean frisbeeer :)) The park has 18 holes. A great activity for the family and some good mild exercise... Much more enjoyable when its temperate!!P.S. be CAREFUL not to lose your frisbee in the jungle-like areas surrounding the course! One bad throw and a decent swing and youre digging through bushes and sliding down a cliff to retrieve your frisbee... Better safe than sorry!! But... It is all part of the adventure :D

Very clean park, never dirty at all and always have a fun time when going.

Safe, clean restrooms, excellent area for the family and kids.

They have plans to improve the disc golf tees, but its good enough...I might change this once they improve the tees.

Really nice park, but would be nice if there wasnt Red Wasps living inside the fishing dock that try to attack you every time you set foot on it.

This disc golf course has a great Park with it! Good parking, bathrooms, lots of trees and shade. Good throwing spots. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an all-ages friendly park.Oh, its also great for walking running and working out. Has picnic tables in great places to bring the family and have a good time.

Very, very friendly people. Always trying to help you out!!! Never have had an issue with staff they pretty awesome people.!!! And always a joke to make if you get to know them like a friend to friend visitor.!!! 5 stars for sure.

I love this place its awesome my little sister loves the jungle gym and there a place to sit and eat and small tables theres also a place to a small lake to fish or just see it great my hole family went there and we just played cards it was great family time.

Sometimes restrooms n water fountains have issues.....n benches are very few..N lake bridge very dangerous for small kids may run n jump easily from it. Should hv more net around small bridge .rest good

I went here to play disc golf only so that is the context of my review. the layout in the course is a little strange and you are throwing a lot of overlap and over a walking path. If the park or course are busy you might as well not play. When its empty, there is a decent amount of variety to the holes and there is some interesting challenges.

A nice place for family except recurrent toilet problems.

Nice course city just needs to expand the course to the rest of the park instead of double baskets per hole for 18 holes.

Nice little disc golf course

This disc golf course would be great for beginners and those who want to try out new discs. Theres a lot of wide open space for people to try out mid-range discs and drivers. Its an overall nice course, not crowded, and the holes are pretty spaced out. It can be confusing at first but there are plaques / maps to show you how to advance to each hole. (Take a picture of the course map!) Id recommend if youre learning to start here. Some of the locals are friendly enough if you need help!

About reservations.. The city should make signs for pavilion. Very uncomfortable situation with the people made reservations for today. Thanks

Has restrooms. Great place for going for a run! A playground for the kids. An open field for a pickup game of soccer. A volleyball net that in a sandpit to play a game and a small basketball court!

Love this park they have paved paths around the pond, covered picnic area, a playground for the kiddos, and a nice sized disc golf course not huge but still fun and has a few difficult holes.

I would give this park a 5 star review but its so dead here the terrain is uneven close to no one uses this part its old and out dated it deserves a refresh the city is maintaining a park that the citizens dont even enjoy using anymore its rarely busy compared to bob woodruff park.
