Its nice park with a lake and lots of open area to play. The picnic area and the shade I found to be small and crowded. But there is ample trail to jog, skating and cycling around the lake. Nice place to spend time in the morning and evening.

A larger, scenic, family friendly park with usually a very diverse international crowd. Includes playground, sand volleyball, and surrounding Green Space. Theres a nice walking trail around a small lake with piers over the water and benches to sit on. Many soccer fields nearby.

It was nice to be able to get out and social distance around others. There were a lot of people, but it was not crowded. We took a little walk around the pond and then left because it was hot and muggy. Clean, has a nice layout, plenty of parking. There is a cute little dock on the pond, a few people were fishing on it and some on the banks, several ducks in the pond. Spacious with different areas for activities. Sand volleyball. Basketball courts and even an area with iron spike for horse shoes-which I found very different and cool, but I didn’t see any horseshoes around, so BYOH. There are some covered areas with seats like most parks. It seemed fairly accessible, but I’m sure improvements could be made to have more paths, but the ones available are in good shape and clean.

Weve been coming to Russell Creek Park for the last 15 years and its still a great experience! We like to walk, run, or bike in their trails. The soccer and baseball fields are immaculate. It is such a quaint, beguiling location to do as little as enjoying the shade of a nearby tree while watching animals ecosystems unravel before your eyes. There will always be compelling life around you, whether its from a person passing you by, or simply the ducks making their way across the creek.

Oh My Goodness. If youre around, you must go here. This is a H-U-G-E park. Amazing trail, play areas and many dozens of soccer/ other fields, including a cricket pitch. This is a treat just to go there and walk around. My 4-yr old daughter loves to scoot around here because she doesnt have to stop for half an hour :D . We can literally spend hours and hours here, looking at the people engaged in activities and kids playing around. Idea place for us to play .. can you guess it? Frisbee -eeee --eee

I attended a girls softball game. This park is well maintained and the fields are nice. There is shaded seating areas. The design of the park is a bit of a problem as the parking is quite a distance from the fields. The restrooms are quite a walk to get to. I heard numerous complaints from parents and fans about this. I am curious as to why park rules state that fees should not be charged yet the tournament sponsors charged $7 a person to enter the event. These games were played during daylight hours and no lights were used. If these fees cover cleanup operations afterwards I guess I support that. However, can you imagine a family of four just out to see their daughter/sister play softball. The cost to participate is extravagant to begin with. Lastly, the speed bumps are ridiculous high.

A wonderful, well-kept suburb park. Very spacious with a paved trail that loops around the pond. The loop is about 0.6 miles. There is a full basketball court, two sand volleyball courts, a dock for fishing for small fish (great for kids) and plenty of turtles and ducks (and ducklings in the spring!) There is also a shelter, a playground, and bathrooms for those who wish to hold parties or gatherings here. This is all in addition to the acres and acres of maintained fields surrounded by a second, larger walking loop. It is a great end/start to the 3 mile Russell Creek trail. Disclaimer: Ive been going during quarantine and it hasnt been too crowded so social distancing hasnt been hard, but I cant speak on how crowded the park would be otherwise.

There are lot of fields for different sports(Volleyball, Basketball, cricket, soccer, etc..) and if your a pokemon go fan, you have got some 4 gyms and 7-9 poke stops around the pond. Amazing place to go and relax with the kids. We moved to this area from California and found that the weather doesnt allow the kids for outdoor play so much. This area also seem very new with less entertainment places for kids. We found this park in 2-3 weeks of our move while exploring options. Its almost heaven here. You can see some wildlife, lake with a fountain, walking trail, game fields, picnic spots, kids playground and lots of parking. The park is huge. For now, its a hop for the kids.

This park offers a track a long the pond where you can walk and appreciate the wildlife. Best time to visit is early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid the heat. Whenever I come here, there is plenty of people engaging in different activities, such as bike riding, volleyball, basketball, picnics, etc. People love bringing their dogs for a walk as there is ducks and rabbits to chase.

Located in North Plano near MA Skaggs elementary, CM Rice Middle School, and the family YMCA. The park is filled with 90% Asians trying to exercise. Russell Creek Park is a very nice and beautiful place. Theres a lot of friendly people around as well as Pokestops/gyms. Many Pokemon raids of powerful Pokemon can be battled and obtained at this park. This is also a great place to get your steps in. Kids may enjoy their time at the large playground or build a sand castle in the volleyball court. Beach volleyball and basketball are also available at the park. Many soccer fields are also available to practiced trickshots and dribbling. Most people bike or walk around the man-made pond that houses a plethora of fish and ducks. Many individuals throw break and corn kernels for the ducks to eat which is not very good for the ducks natural behaviors. Around the pond are many benches where one could take a rest and enjoy the scenery when tired. A trail is also available in the area, where many people walk and run in order to lose calories. There is also a pavillion where one could host parties or gatherings. The entire park is filled with signs that say Scoop the poop to remind dog owners to clean up after their dogs. I would highly recommend coming to this park to enjoy free time and spending time with family and friends. Always remember to respect the wild life and watch out for coyotes.

Decided to venture out shortly after moving to Dallas and took my dog, a lab mix, to the park. She wasnt being unruly or loud, she was wearing her tags. She wasnt close to anyone and she didnt use the bathroom in the park. We had been there all of 10 minutes, far from anyone in an open field, when animal control stopped us and told us we couldnt let her roam on her 15 ft retractable leash because its considered unrestrained and we could be ticketed. I totally get it if shed been being a nuisance, but considering there was no one near us and she wasnt barking or anything, it seems pretty unnecessary. Will never go back.
