This place was nice. Had a good time with some coworkers. Wednesday night is ladies night so you get a good handful of coins when you order your drink. The games there are pretty standard arcade fair and fun. Except for the mortal combat game. Overly difficult and the buttons were not responsive. Beers at happy are very cheap but they dont serve food so eat before hand.
The servers were so sweet & super fast. Everything was COVID safe & the games were super nostalgic def hope to come back when we’re in Phoenix again.
Cool staff, head good truck out front, old school video games, and beer. Perfect night. Get there early
Fun times spent on Friday evening here. The concept is simple, drinks with vintage old school arcade games. There’s an atm to withdraw cash and obtain tokens. There’s no food here and sometimes the bartenders are understaffed, leading to slower service. Overall, a satisfying evening filled with arcade games and White Claw!
Great location to meet with friends. The service was very welcoming and observant. Bring your appetite because portions are generous.
Friends and I got together on my 21st birthday. Loved the retro arcade cabinets, tacos next door, drinks are amazing and cheap too, and I hope I can get their music playlist. I still got a sack full of tokens left!
We were visiting from out of town and need to find a Cobra Arcade Bar to order from for the team. Found Chino Hills Cobra Arcade Bar that was close by, and what a find. They were quick and the food was delicious. When i picked it up the workers were so helpful as well.
Pretty sweet place! Has some good arcade games and a few pinball machines. They serve beer and have weekly specials. I had a blast drinking beer and playing games like it was 1994! If you’re into beer and old arcade games look no further!
Fun place to eat with friends and we had a great time during our western state vacation. We hope to be back again soon
We went on hardly any months back its extremely decent spot. We mentioned the hot garlic fries and they were extraordinary. cool climate..
We went on few months back its very nice place. We requested the hot garlic fries and they were great. cool atmosphere..
Love the retro games they have here! They have SF III, DBZ, tekken and many many more. The drinks here are awesome, I always get the michelada and the martinis.
The staff is very friendly. We went on Thursday and were able to enjoy karaoke. We ordered the spicy garlic fries and they were really good. We also had a few mixed drinks that were good as well.
Im a kid again at the Cobra Arcade Bar. So much fun for nostalgia video games. These games are every bit the quarter (token) munchers they were as a kid but still a great time. The bar has an excellent selection of liquor and beers. The no crop dusting sign may be my favorite part about the place.
Really good barJust watch out for Jeanna Taylor she will try to say she is single or separatedShe is not SHE IS MARRIED SO DO NOT TRUST HER
I love taking my wife out for dates here. Great music, friendly bar service, reasonable prices at happy hour and we almost never pay for tokens. Wonderful selection of classic arcade games in good condition. Combine with Moira across the street for food and it is the perfect date night.
Very Chill place with a nice friendly crowd. Female bartender made my sister a specialty drink she created w/mango & Tajin....BTW that drink should be called June 15th. Im at the carwash as they scrub the dried residue of June 15th off my door jamb lol. Thanks alot...our 1st time was awesome & my sister enjoyed her birthday.
Great place! Wasnt too crowded so we got to enjoy it as much as we can. The staff were very accommodating. They had a decent selection of games for their customers. Great place for a generous price! Would definitely come back
Stopped in on a Tuesday. Had a friend come into town and asked me to take him here again. Bring your appetite because portions are filling.
Great mixture of nostalgia game play, all your favs and classics. Great social atmosphere for both kids and adults. Night life with open bar and good food. Good place to socialize, meet, and have fun. Great security staff that look out for ya!
This place is a blast, pure and simple. DJ has great taste in hip hop Atmosphere is awesome, they really nail both being a great arcade and a cool quasi-clubby bar at the same time. Love the art on the walls. Even the bouncers are nice! Always poppin, probably since its kinda slim pickins in the downtown area, but this place would do well anywhere. Easy five stars.
This was my first time here and definitely one of the most fun Ive had for a Wednesday night, probably ever. We have decided this is our new designated spot for ladies night on wednesdays here on out. Fun environment, great music, and amazing people! My new favorite hangout. Thanks for a fabulous evening, Cobra Arcade! ♡
Arcade and a bar? I know there’s a lot of places that do it but this place does it right. The drinks aren’t overpriced and the gaming experience is amazing, give me street fighter and mortal kombat a Stella and a bourbon please and I’ll keep coming back. Best arcade bar or maybe even bar in all of Phoenix.
Visited during their Halloween party and they didnt charge a cover. Bouncers were nice! I get that they need to have a presence, but these guys actually smiled and gave a great first impression. We honestly were just going to bar hop, but instead just stayed here to drink and have a good time. First impressions I guess. All the machines worked well.
Happened to be here for women’s night and happy hour, so I got to enjoy 2 beers for about 6$ and free arcade games for the night! The bar is dark and cool. Whilst sit offers rest-bite from the pounding sun the music is an intense mix of indie and hard rock. There are numerous machine of all sorts of arcade games (personally I’m a fan of the dance mat). Should you wish to top up the tan, the smoking section outside get a huge amount of sun!
Cobra bar is awesome. Great place to hang out. Sadly since it seems that people really like to smoke pot around this area. I dont go as much do to sever allergic reactions. Bar tenders are awesome great place to play arcade games when they are not broken. Love this bar otherwise.
Place is pretty dope. Great atmosphere.
Cool place, good drinks, great atmosphere
Pretty sweet place! Has some good arcade games and a few pinball machines. They serve beer and have weekly specials. I had a blast drinking beer and playing games like it was 1994! If you’re into beer and old arcade games look no further!
This is a fun place! Nice staff and it wasn’t too crowded. Patio is nice and there’s a decent selection of games. I went on a Tuesday and got a huge handful of tokens w/ my drink purchase. Also, the drinks aren’t overpriced and the games were 1 token each. It’s definitely more oriented to adults. I’d recommend it if you had some time to kill (like I did before my flight outta town) or if you’re into arcades.
Great drink selection and staff makes it a fun experience every time!
Super fun vibe and great games for very reasonable prices. Pretty good drinks with normal or cheaper prices. Great service from friendly staff. The DJ was one of the best I’ve heard at a bar. The one downside is the crowd it attracts can get a little sketchy late at night.
Great hangout spot, very young crowd. no where near enough tables or places to hangout without feeling like your in someones way. Ordered a screwdriver and it came out tasting old, was a pain to get it replaced but after I did and got the bartenders attitude it tasted the same, meaning the OJ or ice was there for a good while, clearly there was something wrong with the taste as my friends and I never tasted it that nasty.
Love the old school arcade games. Clean place also. Everyone that works here seems very friendly. I get that bartending is about getting your hustle on, but one bartender in particular rubbed me the wrong way. Two different times that I went to the bar, this bartender walked by me three times. The first time another bartender came over and got my drink order. The second time he started the drink order by putting ice in a cup and sitting it in front of me and walking away. The bartender that helped me the first time actually made our drinks. He didnt seem like he wanted to help me and my party.
Youll never miss a line on a weekend but its 100% worth the wait! Amazing drinks and bartenders, awesome DJ and a vibe like no other in downtown. They set themselves apart from the other local bars with the artwork and the nastalgia oozing from everyone wall to arcade cabinets. Try the Blue Waffle shot or drink, I promise you wont be disappointed!
Cramped, and a lot of games werent working right (though I assume the alcohol might have something to do with that). Met some cool cats hanging out at the fighting games. Beer prices comparable to anywhere else, but arcade games. Didnt get crazy till after about 9pm on Saturday. Before that was pretty chill.
My friend and I went when I came to Arizona for Spring Break and we had a BLAST! Im 24 but the fact that the bar is filled with arcade systems makes me feel like Im 12 again and I LOVE it!! Never change, Cobra Arcade!!
Good game selection. WAY too dance club for me. Plus you have to get the pat down TSA style. Not my vide. Dont play games when it comes to games. And dont usually wait on line either. Not a legit arcade bar and to many concepts for one building.
I haven’t been a place like this in a long time. I love the arcade games and being able to drink beer at the same time. I had so much fun playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and all the old arcade games along with some new ones. One of the change machines didn’t work but the lady was nice enough to have tokens ready.
Accidently stumbled upon this gem. Bar full of arcade games, so much nostalgia when I played rampage and Donkey Kong. DJ on site and anime on the televisions. It became packed after 10pm which is good but with such a small space did make it hard to move and play games. Overall though, had a fantastic time. Favorite drink of the night was the Kirby. Had a rich orange flavor.
Been here a couple of times. It is a nice place. The current selection of games isnt as good as it used to be. Other than that a nice place
Had time to kill before our flight left and stopped in here to play some games and get a drink to 2. Not a huge selection but a nice open space and a few old school and newer games. Nice mixture of hard core gamers and me a button masher. There was a working change machine and close tables to place your drinks. Not many places to sit.
Nice place to drink and be with friends. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. I played donkey Kong and centipede. The music is loud and current, people were dancing. It was great for our date night
Nice little bar with arcade games available to play. Check-in through Yelp gets you some free tokens. Depending on when you go, lines can be a bit long. Drink prices arent bad, the specialty drinks are pretty good. Reservations are also available for events.
A very retro bar that took me back to my old 80s arcade days, they have a great drink selection and much more games than are listed on thier website. They open at 4pm. They do not have pool or foosball .
Absolutely love the place for all the arcade games. Drinks are good too if not great.
Before the house music and the whole “Club” vibe, Cobra was an awesome spot to hangout, drink a few, and play some games. Now, it feels more like a it should be in Old Town Scottsdale. In all fairness however, this is one of my favorite bars in DTPHX. Friendly and swift bartenders, great games, and unique events.
I visited Cobra Arcade Bar for the first time and I enjoyed my experience overall. I went on the weekend around 6pm and it wasn’t super busy, which was nice. They did have a good vendor on site that offered different types of hot dogs. They only took cash, but there is an atm on site. The drinks were great and the pricing was fair. I liked the patio seating but some misters would have been nice considering how hot the summer is.
Fun place. Music, classic arcade games, and a bar. What could go wrong!
Interesting experience visiting this arcade/bar. Selection of vintage arcade games while listening to good music and drinking drinks. Long lines and they seem to have a limited capacity.
This place is amazing, they have old school arcade games from the 80s and 90s, it takes me back to my childhood and to top it off they sell beer and mix drinks. Arcade games are cheap and they have a huge variety of them to choose from, the only thing that bothers me is the music at times it seems loud. A great place to bring your friends and have a great time!
Enjoyed the 80s arcade games with family. Enjoyed the music playing in the background. When I visit Arizona again, I will visit this place.
So before this was a great place to be and interact with people. Tonight we went into the parking lot to get something to eat. Spent $80 dollars inside and could not go back into use the bathroom. Customer service used to be great but not so much anymore.
Had a blast, varied amount of arcade games, had the Kong drink, very good!
Had so much fun...awesome adult arcade!!! Drinks were good too!!
It’s a cool place great Music. Only thing is it takes forever to even get inside. It’s definitely a must see but I would t plan on spending the whole night here
Cant really rate accurately of the inside but I went to attempt to pick up a passenger from a Lyft request and was glad they had their own, although small... its downtown, parking lot! Seems like a good place to check out!
Visited here today with my wife. They had about 6 beers on tap, a decent selection, but not great. They had a good selection of arcade games to play from, most cost a token to play. Luckily there is both a token machine, and an atm machine at the location. Its worth noting there is no food served here, but there is servel close places to grab a meal such as Angels Trumpet close by.
I havent had a chance to try any of their drinks, but the arcade portion is totally worth it. I havent played some of those games in more than 15 years.
The place is unique and a fun experience. However, on weekends the lines are super long to get in and it can often be difficult to grab a drink. Frankly, the place is too small to accomodate the number of clients they get on the weekend. The novelty of classic arcade games is cool the first couple times you go but to each their own. DJ is usually spinning some good tunes. I will say that on a couple of visits the bouncers were the epitome of how you would think bouncers would act...kinda rude and not very friendly. While they are not hired to socialize, they are definitely not there to be rude to customers. This was my observation simply standing in line watching them interact with some of the patrons. Maybe in between them doing some bench presses they can do some light reading on how to interact with humans respectfully.
Nice place with a huge selection of drinks and cocktails.
Awesome old school video games, solid booze selection, and a very tolerant staff. No food, but a food truck swings by sometimes.
Nice place! Good game section and set up. Decent drink prices and a very cool location.
Love that you can play retro arcade games while you have a beer....pac-man 4x4 is a must you and 3 friends will have a blast on this game
Who doesnt love this place?! Retro games and great drinks. My favorite is The Doggystyle - dont be afraid of Gin...it tastes like an adult lemonade. Super dangerous. Ladies night is Wednesdays for free tokens!
Good drink prices, fun retro arcade games.Fun place to spend weekend at as long as you dont mind the line at the door, they maintain allowed occupy of the place.
I love this place. Concept, beer, games.
One of my absolute favorite places to be! Theres allot of locals that frequent this spot so if youre looking for a place to feel at home and soak in some of the best that Phoenix has to offer, this is the place to be. Awesome GAMES and Awesome Drinks! What more can you ask for?
Great place, first time I went. This bar was packed. If you like old school arcade games youll love it. The bar area would be better if there were a few more bartenders.
One of the best bars I ever visited! Liked everyone is chilled and no strict dress code.Staff was mega polite and welcoming!
Great arcade selection, I am absolutely obsessed with pacman Royale! But drinks are mediocre liquor for inflated prices. Id rather have some amazing craft cocktails from Sazerac first and then come here just for the games. Plus there is a serious lack of seating or even tables to stand around and not enough place to set drinks while playing games. Majority of the time its super crowded too. But I do really love the vibe and game selection.
Lots of fun, almost like an 80s arcade. Very popular place, come early if you want to play the games.
Good atmosphere! It was soooo much fun here from the games, music and employees being extremely polite. Highly recommend and of course I’ll be back
Cool old school arcade games, good beats, good bar (decent service).Needs some more space, though.
Amazing games and price point! Gets really hot with as many people that will pack into a small location but the refreshments help. Word of warning, havent had a great mixed drink yet so keep your drink choice simple.
Great music, fun atmosphere, and awesome bartenders and staff. Loved it!
I stopped here while walking through First Friday and it made the perfect pit stop. The taps were ok, the cocktails seemed fine, but what got me going was the phenomenal music choice. A mix of old rocksteady reggae remixes and classic jams was the perfect audio compliment for a bumping arcade bar on a Friday night. I didn’t play any games, but it seemed like there was a good selection. Most importantly, though, the dance floor was alive and it was an easy place to have a good time.
Fun place for an interactive date night. Great drinks cool vibe and awesomely friendly staff even the bouncers are down to earth. Wednesday is Ladies night which means free tokens and Fridays seem to be the busiest. It’s a small venue and can get crowded but people there are chill so no drama. There’s about 24 or more old school games like Pinball and Donkey Kong but often a few games are broken. Music is good often old school hip hop (at least the times I’ve been there). Limited seating options so be prepared to stand and mingle. It’s a perfect place for a low key inexpensive date, meet up or having drinks with friends.
Always fun. Beer cold! Good old school games. Super place to hideaway in the coin age. DJ after hours. Great staff! Nice woman bartender.
Cobra is great. They have fun themed cocktails, and a good selection of beers. They rotate a lot of the games, but keep a few staples without it feeling like things never change. It always feels like a fun new experience each time I go. Anyone that enjoys arcades or bars would enjoy!
Arcade cabinets and booze... Also I watched Grandmas Boy while conversing with a beautiful girl!
Fun place with some good old classic games. Drinks were good and fun vibe
Its cute and had fun arcade games. The room is a little small and gets busy quick. But the drinks are delicious
Fun bar, always have great music, and they keep up with drink orders too!
Good place to hang out, outside seating, good vibe. Arcade games for all those arcade aficionados. I see people of all ages having a great time there.
This place is great early. Arcades, and good food. Then becomes a straight club, packed with nobody interested in the atmosphere
This place is pretty fun with all the arcade games from old school to new school. Itll bring a good day full with laughter and booze. My downside would only be make it bigger or upgrade the area, other wise good place to chill with some friends.
On a saturday night waiting line was 1 hour, takes another half hour to get a drink, gets too crowded. Maybe a weekday wouldve worked out better.
All day errday I would come here. Security is cool but not slacking! Games are lit and the music is lit! Please dont shut down ever haha
I love this place, even though their game selection has gotten a little boring. They have happy hour everyday from 3-7 with great drink specials and I can always count on them to have a food vendor present. My only other complaint is the restroom... it was a bit of a disaster in there.
This place was awesome. I love video games and good drinks, and they have both. The death star was tasty and potent. My regret was that I couldnt stay longer.
First time here I had a very nice experience! Great customer service since you walk in until you leave. The drinks are amazing!!! Recommend the Kirby :) definitely will be coming back!!!! Only downside their ATM charges to get cash out so before going stop by the bank and get cash out!! ( For the token machine to play games)
WOW cool place! Went on a Monday and got free tokens for being a guy. That never happens. Cool selection of games, a nice mix of both retro and trendy vibes.
Chillbenvironment love that they have old school arcade games tons of fun for a weekend!
