Freedom is Not FreeReads the entry way to the beautiful bell that commemorates the Arizonan Korean War Veterans @ The Wesley Bolin Memorial Park near Downtown Phoenix. The Korean War Memorial is a stylized pagoda with a ceremonial temple bell weighing approximately two tons. The trees in the planters are Acacia, indigenous to Korea. The Memorial houses bronze plaques containing the names of the 280 Arizonans who gave their lives in the Korean War.
Amazing! People gathered to Stop the fraud in the AZ election...
The memorials are very well done. They honor many that gave their lives so others may live
An interesting memorial park near the Arizona Capital Building in Phoenix. It honors not only war veterans but other groups such as police and firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country or their community.A fascinating display revolves around the USS Arizona, with a mast, an anchor and one of its main guns on display. One of the main guns from the USS Missouri is also on display, so the visitor can feel a connection to both the beginning and the end of WWII.
I love this park. Such an incredible collection of Arizona history with monuments everywhere you go. I would give this 5 stars if it wasnt for the Confederate Soldiers Monument. If it was an inclusive Civil War Soldiers Monument, it could honor the sacrifice of the dead on both sides of the bloodiest war in American history, without commemorating the cause of the South, supporting slavery in the same breath.
Wesley Bolin is a gorgeous park with some wonderful memorials. Events are often held there while the Legislature is in session
Always and forever. We will never forget! Ty for your sacrifice
Its a park
