It doesn’t look but i believe this house is amazing. Unfortunately it’s for sale and I didn’t see anybody there. Before you plan to visit make sure you can go inside. One of the most especial design of Frank Lloyd Wright with amazing ramp that leads you from the ground to the roof. Unfortunately there is not enough landscape around the house but I hope new owner makes it better.

The restoration seems to be coming along very nicely. Its amazing what theyve done with the interior space hits. if you ever get the opportunity to see this place, I would highly recommend it.

I diceded to go visit this house since I saw others peoples reviews that it was probably close and I saw the fence with a lock I think it is close, I took puctures from the outside of the house, the drive there is beautiful and the house looks amazing even though I didnt see it from the outside I liked the structure and the shape of the house.

Beautiful house and unusual for Wrights work. House is in need of help and narrowly escaped destruction at one point. The tour is free and interesting.

Amazing property in the Arcadia neighborhood. Considered by many Frank Lloyd Wright authorities as the precursor to the Guggenheim in New York. Recent unfortunate events (Wright house Wrong neighborhood) have moved the property out of limbo and back on the market with an uncertain future. Only time will tell.

The fate of this beautiful house has been in question recently, but in the past year it was rescued from the jaws of redevelopment and donated to the School of Architecture at Taliesin. It is still not very accessible. Enthusiasts like me are able to drive by and peer through the netting to catch a quick glimpse, but the fences give the impression that they do not want people gawking. It is undergoing some changes at the moment, but you can take a virtual tour on the website for the house and it looks like the current owners are aiming to make tours available in person at some point in the future.

The house is beautiful from outside, but it looks like it had been closed for some time for public since April. No exact info on website. You can not even walk around the property. I wish I can visit inside as well. But still 5 stars because I admire Frank Lloyd Wrights creativity.

An historic, one-of-a-kind house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for his son David. The round design emulates the Guggenheim Museum, and it was Franks showcase home to illustrate How to Live in the Southwest. Often referred to as the Desert Castle Frank introduced many original concepts that revolutionised the upscale building industry. Now part of the Taliesin West School of Architecture, it is used for research and classes, has a resident architectural student living in the guest house, and is occasionally open to the public for community events. It is NOT open to the public to casually wander in.I was privileged to be a Docent of the house for 72 tours. I miss the energy of the house -- so harmonious and quiet -- possibly why David lived to a ripe age of 103, and his wife Gladys lived to 106 while retaining her sharp mind. They lived in this perfect Feng Shui house for 50+ years! It is currently in the process of some needed maintenance and light restoration. Google David and Gladys Wright House for hundreds of photos from the 1950s building process to the present. LOVE this house!!!A special thanks to Zack Rawling and his mother for rescuing it, struggling through the landmine historic preservation process, and spending million$ in bringing it to its present status. Zack is an extraordinary person with a heart as big and open as his vision of this house and its place in the community.
