Great movie I hope one day all my kids will be allowed to be together.

First trip to this theater location but it was a great experience. My family went together to watch Star Wars over the Christmas break and really enjoyed ourselves. The electric recliner chairs are amazing, the theaters are huge, the sound and picture quality was perfect and the isles were huge. The negative would be the small size of the restrooms. Had to stand in line both times I went. I would definitely visit again if I happened to be in town again

Super clean! The whole experience was extremely socially distanced and safe. Food was great and the movie was even better.

4 stars only because the popcorn machine wasnt working. A movie without popcorn just isnt the same. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Not too much variety of movie but okay. One excellent movie: Unhinged, Russle Crow very scary and convincing. Also, quench your thirst with cherry icy and hot popcorn and hot dogs. Not to mention comfortable seating. Dont forget your mask, if you do staff may give you a mask.

I hadnt visited this theater in several years and the new renovation looks great. Although they went from 30 theaters to 17 the place really feels nice. Growing up in Phoenix this was a local hangout when I was younger still fun to go here for nostalgia. Now that its been renovated you also get all the modern amenities.

Love AMC Classics - go nearly every month with friends and family. Quite often, they forget to turn the lights off when the movie starts. No one answers the phone if you call so someone in the theater has to take one for the team and go ask them to dim the lights! Makes you feel a bit forgotten. Last time, went to get popcorn but everything was closed with staff standing around, but movie was only half over. Ill just get popcorn earlier next time! Nonetheless, nice theater and enjoyable films. Will continue to go to this theater - great location, too!

Love it. Saw an early movie, had lunch, saw an afternoon movie, and did some shopping before the stores closed.

Been in the area for over a year and hadnt hit AMC up yet...but wow what a mistake! The $5 Tuesday deal is fantastic and the reclining seats are incredible. Also the way the rows are separated makes it feel very private. I will definitely be returning to this location many times! Also really love the modern take on seating and being able to select your seat ahead of time. Additionally if you are a free member of their club and buy 4 tickets or more they waive the online convenience fee, which is a sweet bonus, because who wants to pay pesky fees?!

Great overall experience for movies and dining. Chicken tenders were very tasty and the popcorn was fresh. There are several different selections for the drinks from flavored water to diet and regular colas. The seats are very comfortable and even if somebody is tall in front of you, it does not block your view of the screen. I love the flexibility of being able to pick your seat before you get to the theater.

The theater was good, the features inside were excellent, awesome sound and seating, however the cleaning needs some serious work! Keep in mind these pictures were taken just after 12:30 a.m., but people are still here in late shows and cleaning needs serious help!We also paid for this upgraded membership called Premier, waited in our special line same as the regular line and the employees behind the counter called on the regular line first, ridiculous!! Even the sign says please wait here and standard guests are attended to first, not cool! Staff needs re-training! Its like going to Six Flags and paying for the FastPass, ummm excuse me, we are FIRST! Not Happy!!

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the Theater in general. The staff where universally well dressed and pleasant. Great Movie and sound. The seats where HELLASIOUS!! Even Airline economy seats on the cheapest airlines would have been better.

One of our kids couldnt go. I was just going to forgo the ticket. The nice lady at entrance told me to step aside and she refunded my money. Nice and clean and amazing seats!

Always clean, lines move really fast. What keeps me coming back is the sound quality. Alot of other movie theaters have poor insulation and you can hear/feel the bass from neighboring theaters.

This is my go-to theater this place is great and the $20 all the movies you can watch for a month is ridiculous

My wife and I hadnt been to this theater in years. We had a great experience. Very comfortable seats, and clean. I didnt realize they had put a bar in the lobby area. That was cool.

I have been coming to this AMC theater for the past 3+ years as it is a convenient location. A few years ago they gave this old theater a well needed makeover. Some of the new features theyve added is bar area where you can purchase alcoholic beverages on select nights. Self serve drink stations, leather style reclinee seats in every theater room, IMax and realD 3D screens. They also updated the restrooms which is very nice. Unfortunately they did away with the family restrooms which came in handy on daddy daughter dates and could avoid taking my youngest into the dirty mens restrooms. Gest service is pretty good for the most part, once in a great while you come across an employee who isnt pleasant. One thing they can work to improve is the overall cleanliness of the place. They are not the busiest AMC location Ive been to, so in my opinion there is no reason why this theater cant be in imaculaint condition.

This location is is very clean for the most part. The trash was a bit full, but everything else looked as if they did clean it throughout the day. The only thing that I saw that stood out to me were the filthy carpets near the restroom. I know it would be nearly impossible to have spotless carpet but a cleaning would help.

The theater isnt bad, used to be way better. We do like the recliner seats! But, dont look under them EWWWW! Oh and BOTH of the bathrooms need to be checked and cleaned up regularly!! Otherwise a pretty good theater.

I really like this theater. Nice atmosphere, nice attendants, close too all places in the plaza Plus, lots of different movie times they are flexible.

Love the reclining seats, much more comfortable than the old ones used to be. Only thing I disliked was the price of food. Way too expensive.

AMC has fallen so far. No layered butter, fill your own cup, letting members cut in lines and no refills unless you pay a fee. Glad to spend my GC and not go back. Its too bad...I really dig the entrance mural.

Id give this theatre zero stars if possible. This theatre is dirty! Sticky floors and popcorn all over. There were 4 people in front of us waiting for popcorn to be made. Decided not to buy any. No carbonation in the drink I got,had to throw it out. Finally, walked into the theatre to watch the movie and it hadnt been cleaned! There was still trash from the previous people in there. We only came here because we had a $25 gift card and were charged a service fee to use. Harkins is the way to go!! Dont waste your time and $ here..

So pricey!! And the cashier at the counter was about as cold as a fish. For that price, it would help to have at least friendly service. We only go there with a gift card

Quiet theater. Odd that its a very nice theater but seems like its not visited often as it was pretty empty for our 5pm showing. Good concessions. Comfortable seats.

A very nice theatre w/assigned seating which is easy to locate, even in the dark. They have very comfortable reclining seats. They offer a large variety of food items and drinks at the concession counter. They also have a nice bar where you may order alcoholic beverages from as long as youre 21 or older. We had a very good experience here

My favorite thing about this place? The seats! Very comfortable reclining chairs in all the theatres (I think they are in all of them anyway). Love that the first show of every day is cheaper. Also appreciate that they waive the service fees on their tickets if you buy 4 or more tickets. Theatres are always clean as well. Overall a very good movie going experience!

Movie was great, the seats are always nice. Was told when I purchased my large popcorn that it was unlimited refills. But after only one refill I was informed that only one refill was allowed. That was fine, but it was odd that someone else had told me differently. I think $9 for only one refill of a large popcorn is way too expensive. I wont be getting it again.

New to the area and really enjoyed this theater. A little on the expensive side but theres a lot offered as far as concessions, all seats are comfortable, and the theater is clean.

We go to this movie theater at least once a week. All the staff is very friendly, the theaters are always clean. And the temperature is always perfect I dont have to bring a sweater like I do at other theaters

Wow this place is different. It was AMC 30 the last time I went here. They finally upgraded the seats in theaters, FINALLY! Less chairs, bigger chairs, more room, and reclining! They got smart and added the bars now this could go to a 4 if they could add some decent food to the menu to give you the full dinner and movie and dessert experience. I never go to the movies anymore I wait a year and watch on HBO and that has been the method for probably 10+ years and this time because I went on a free event for work but if they jumped on board the restaurant/food like other competitors have I could see me making the movies a regular thing again

Not terribly impressed. The food and drinks are expensive for what they are (compared to other movie theaters) and there is no seat side service. The seats themselves are also uncomfortable; theyre not particularly wide and you cant lift the arm rest between paired seats to alleviate that. Comparing this to Roadhouse Cinemas, its no contest.Theres nothing egregious: the theater is clean, the staff is friendly, and the tickets are standard prices. But it doesnt do anything particularly well, so it is simply a satisfactory movie-going experience.

Very nice place to watch a movie at. I love the comfortable seating and the way AMC has made the theatres better to be at.

The alarm went off, movie stopped and said to evacuate .. as we were going out, staff said false alarm due to contractors mistake. I was there to watch Frozen ll. I sat there for another 20 minutes waiting for them to start the movie. and it didnt. So I went back up front to get my money back which Id paid in cash, they said I needed the ticket which I thought I had tossed. The woman purse seated to give me some pass for another day. I told her no I just wanted my money back. She argued I had to have the ticket receipt. I argued that it was their fault that I had to deal with the inconvenience and to just refund my money. I finally just asked for a manager and she said I would have to wait until they dealt with the construction people. I told her we are the ones who pay her salary. She said that we do not. I began to videotape and ask her to please get the manager . When the manager came he agreed with me and gave me my money back but did not compensate me for my inconvenience ..

Theater is nice but the individual theaters can be iffy at best if your not in a leather recliner you are stuck in a seat that looks like it was from the 90s before a movie seat would even lean back. I have sat on more comfortable bus benches. But if you get the recliners its a 5 star experience all day

Have so much fun in this place, and my fabor movies coming back, do you remember this movies and this people toothless, so in love with this cartoon the dragons, and predator# 1, 2,3 4 what number is this? and R2. Come and see this have fun... yeah today march 1 2019, I saw toothless and his girlfriend, become his wife and have two 3 babies, w black one 1 white, like the mom. Oooh!! I cry the movie is so full of family love.

Excellent theatre with 17 movie screens. You choose which seats youre buying and my favorite thing is I can get there at the last minute if I have to and those seats are mine! Recently remodeled and has reclining seats. You can order food inside to be delivered directly to your seat and what Ive eaten is very good. Big screens, good snacks, a bar if youre so inclined. Were definitely fans!

The IMAX movie was very good and nice on the larger screen. But the seats looked old and not very comfortable! We bought pretzel bites which were good. Staff was friendly and professional.

This theater had some of the dirtiest, most fowl-smelling restrooms that I have experienced in years. I feel like I need to take a shower after being in there. I did inform an employee of the unsettling restroom situation.Also, the carpets near the numbered theater doors were desperately in need of vacuuming. I will most definitely be choosing a different theater than AMC Deer Valley 17 in the future

Good movie theater, I like the reclinable seats they added. They also have a bar now of thats your thing (but I bet it is super expensive). Ive been going here for at least 10 years and Ive never really had any issues.

My new favorite AMC. I love to bring my kids here or go here by myself. Absolutely wonderful!

Overall this is a really nice theater. Ive been here before and after the renovations and enjoyed both aspects of it. I really should be giving this theater a four or five stars. This might sound petty of me but on 4/14/2019 my significant other and I went to the 8:15 pm showing of Us. When we arrived to our reserved seats we found that they were covered in trash from the last movie that had played. We moved the trash and took our seats and enjoyed the movie. Like I said, I might be sounding petty but when I am paying over $20 to see a movie with my significant other, I prefer my seats to not be covered in trash.

I really like this location. We are stub hub members and buying $5 tickets Saturday morning and Tuesdays saves us enough to pay for the membership. I pick up the annual popcorn bucket for $5 fill-up and free refill. The theaters have reclining seats so you buy your specific location ahead of time in the app. The theater was redone in the last 5 years and provides more food options. We are very happy with this location (and its close to home, boom!)

Havent been here in years ( fun fact I worked construction and helped on this theater). This place has been updated since my last visit a few years ago.. Too start its no longer the largest AMC,once this location touted 30 screens . First off the office boxes outside have been reframed to hold movie posters. When you walk in, the secondary ticket station has been replaced by large touch screens to place your orders for tickets. Both wings which had snack stands no longer exist,reframed to a wall with prints . The one hallway that had video games is gone. The biggest shock was assigned seating and the mechanical lazy boy seating,which is awesome. This theater once had over 1000 seats has been reduced to about 200 total. Its worth it with the bigger,more comfortable chairs. Almost forgot near the main entrance they added a bar, its crazy how much the movies have changed.

Great theater as always. Love the seats with the reclining. Saw Spiderman Far From Home and the screen and sound were superb. Plus tickets were cheap since it was earlier in the morning. A steal!

Staff was friendly, concession line moved fairly quickly, and theater seemed clean and well appointed. Only two soda machines... one was out of ice, the other out of anything diet for my husband. Restrooms were not super clean over the 2.5 hours we were there. Overall, not bad, and opportunities for improvement well within their control.

I wanted to give 0 Stars for their customer service.Im an AMC Stubs member & watched so many movies in this location. I always buy large pop-corn as I get one refill(stubs reward).In my recent visit, I bought large pop-corn & my kid spilled it. I cleaned the place & went for refill, just 8 mins after I bought the initial one. They said, the popcorn tub is marked as refilled.I tried to explain that I bought just now & pointed at the lady who sold it to me. They didnt care about it. To not upset my kid, I had to buy another L popcorn tub.If you are stubs member & buying large popcorn, check the tub & dont get cheated. I dont know where else they can cheat.I will prefer to go somewhere else from now on!!

Came here from across town to get bike worked on and killed time watching movie here. Still great from when I last visited and has a great selection. Seating is easy and spacious and always greeted so kindly. They have a large selections of items and combos that its easy to get the right things to snack on. The screen is perfect size and sound is amazing. I always enjoy coming to AMC and getting points and rewards makes it that much more easy to come back again.

This might be the finest theater complex in Phoenix. (I havent visited devery single one.) Many theatres. very comfortable seating. Great lobby displays. An internal bar for those who would appreciate a special drink. Located in a large shopping mall with several fine restaurants nearby. I like this theater a lot.

If the theater is closed, then state that its closed. Do not make people drive 20 minutes just to see a 8 by 11 paper sign that states its closed. A simple notification online or the lack of movie showings demonstrates a willingness to show that AMC is doing their part in combating the spread of illnesses.

Watched Stars Wars in the IMAX theatre, 1145 showing. The floor was already sticky and lines for the Soda machines; one wasnt working...again.Movie was awesome.It was raining outside and a man slipped when trying to open the door to get in.

The movie was good. And the employees Service was awesome.

Took my daughters to see Frozen 2. Had to buy IMAX showing since I got the tickets day of. This was my first time seeing something in IMAX. I was impressed with the picture quality and sound but the seats were horrible. Reminded me of the old school theater seats and the floor was sticky. I ended up paying $60 for 4 tickets and all I have to say is I will not be returning to this theater.

Great place to see a movie. They have plenty of snacks and even a wine and beer bar.

I usually am a huge fan of AMC and the whole experience. I’m disappointed because me and a friend went to see the new It movie tonight, the theater was packed, and it was blazing hot in the theater. That is gross. Sitting there for 2.5 hours, sweating, in a packed theater. Y’all need to be mindful when you pack those rooms full of people.

I love the comfortable recliner seats here! I had a hip replacement 3 weeks ago and was able to enjoy an extra long movie today. I also like the stubbs club that allows me to buy tickets online without fees and gives me reserved seats.

The theater seats are great, you can sit back and put your feet up, literally. The screens are good, sound is good. Only downfall is you can hear everyone walking up and down the stairs. Also, the popcorn is gross. The butter isnt butter its a butter flavored grease.

This is not a bad movie theater. I really cannot tell AMC Deer Valley 17 apart from the AMC 24 theater located way down south near Ahwattukee. I gues there is one huge difference. The AMC 24 has seven more screenings. Dont believe me...17 + 7 = 24

Saw Jumanji. Order your tickets online beforehand! Walked right thru no waiting on any lines. Dont worry if you are late. 15+mins of previevs.

I go here often for my movie watching needs. They have great theaters and the recliners are worth it.

I now remember why I don’t come to this theater. No ice in the ice machine. Floors are filthy with popcorn. After the 6 stall I finally found a clean toilet with toilet paper, Hmmmm... only good thing about this place is there seats in the theatre. A little over priced on tickets and another $50 on snacks (3 drinks and a large popcorn )

Our movie didnt start on time. Normally this is because of previews, but in this case not even the previews started on time. And I dont mean 5 minutes late. I mean 30 MINUTES past start time! THEN the previews started! I let them know this at about 10 minutes after. Someone went into the booth, then disappeared. And did nothing. 30 minutes. Wow. Just wow. Way to drop the ball and do nothing when its brought to your attention....

Maybe Im spoiled from Colorado theaters... This theater is severely lacking in not only consession options but food quality as well. Popcorn was moldy and there is no flavor salt available. Seats are small and not reclinable. 3d glasses were dirty. Maybe try a harkins or united artist.
