My husband and I travel a lot and like to visit science centers, history locations and places of interest. This science center is the best Ive ever been to. The interactive exhibits for both adults and children are engaging and creative. The Victoria exhibit blew me away. I feel honored to have been able to participate in the experience. A must see for families.
I grew up in Arizona so the Science Center was always on the “field trip” list. However, up until recently I hadn’t been in easily over a decade. It might’ve been more exciting as an adult! You can spend an entire day there, just wandering around and playing at all the fun exhibits. Victoria the T-Rex was the main attraction for me and seeing the skeleton up close was breathtaking. If you want to take your time and see everything, I recommend going on a weekday. There’s something for everyone- kids and adults alike! The gift shop is reasonably priced and the coffee from the cafe was amazing. I recommend checking this place out if you haven’t!
BAD NO FOOD Or GOOD DRINK! I wanted to order my Mcdonalds from here but then they denied and I told them to do it cause I need it so badly right now. BUT THEY STILL DENIED! I dont like this place the staff are insanely rude and I dont recommend anyone to go here ever! This was a very bad science center and I learned nothing from here!
We came here to see Victoria the T Rex. It was an amazing experience. The staff here is extremely friendly and are willing to answer all your questions. Lots of hands on activities for the kids. Cant wait to come back.
It was educational and fun. Great for kids. Everyone was practicing social distancing and the staff was constantly wiping down the surfaces. We felt safe and learned a lot. We plan on returning in the near future. Thank you.
Our visit today was something of a disappointment. We paid full price to find that about 25% of exhibits are closed off. What’s more is that their mask mandate is over the top enforced with signs everywhere and security officers prowling and actively enforcing. Masks as a protective measure against the corona virus can be easily challenged from a scientific perspective and inconclusive at best. The compulsory mask requirement is a disappointment in an establishment devoted to science. It also made us feel somewhat unwelcome.
An attraction that taught science in a fun and interactive way. We came here years ago when our kids were small and had a great time. Our kids are adults now and this vacation we had no kids to bring so this visit was just the two of us. We thoroughly enjoyed all the exhibits from top to bottom. Since we purchased tickets to the planetarium show later in the afternoon we decided to start at the top floor and work our way down, ending the day at the bottom level which was the largest floor. The top floor had exhibits about the environment and education on recycling, solar power, and alternative energy sources. The exhibits weren’t just informative, but fun. The kids that were there flipped switches and rode bikes to see who could generate the most energy. Without kids we were able to spend our time reading all the information. The next two floors had info on weather (with a demo on what it’s like to be in the midst of a storm) climate, and a new dinosaur exhibit. Our favorite floor was the bottom floor with an amazing interactive look at the body. We probably could have spent the whole day here. We finished the day at the Volcano show in the planetarium. It was good but short. I’d definitely recommend this center for visitors of all ages and give yourself at least 4 hours to go through it all. We intend to come back again.
Great precautions in place. The kids loved finally being back and we felt very safe.
This place was fun, went to see the mummy exhibit, the only thing that I didnt like about this place is that I guess I chose the wrong time to show up on my days off because right when I walked in it looked like an entire 1 through 6th grade school was being bused in for a field trip day, the mummy exhibit was nice and quit but after that nothing but kids and screaming everywhere, so I got out while the getting was good before I could check all the other exhibits out.
The Science center is very educational and interactive. There is quite a bit to see here and is not too costly. The biggest bummer was most of the interactive exhibits were not working or just plain broke. Also if you would like to attend one of the films in the theatres at the science center, there is an additional cost for approximately the same price as going to the movies. If you have a big family or multiple people in your group, this can get costly very quickly.
Not a bad little center, the planetarium was not working and a few things were closed off for safety. Staff was friendly and everything was clean.
This science museum is located in the heart of city very close to the Phoenix convention center and was a walking distance from there just a couple of blocks away. I visited all free pavilions while the paid ones were out of my budget for the day. If you want view some large size - 12 feet cactus they are on the outside periphery on the streets.️ Accessibility Features:Yes=Ramp access.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Entrance.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Restroom/Toilet.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Seating.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Parking.
What a great place to get lost in learning! The next time you have a few hours and want to join in a fun, family activity, check out the AZ Science Center! This place has something for everyone of all ages. You can have fun at the courtyard water tables, lay on a bed of nails, learn all about the human body or dive deeper into the world of recycling. Make sure to wear great walking shoes and get ready to have some fun!
There are always interesting exhibits and events being held here. Including special events for members and adults. Been to the Pompeii and Mummies of the World special exhibits. They sometimes hold lectures related to the special exhibits, and I got to see three of them. Bring a member brings an invite to Donuts and Demos, which is a great family event. And the big screen and planetarium shows are fascinating!
I booked member tickets over the phone for the new guided experience (~$15 each). I was told when I arrived that my guests and I had only been able to purchase member tickets due to a technical glitch, that my membership was no longer valid (despite being good through June 30th) and that we would have to pay the remaining cost for GA tickets (~$40 each). Ignoring the fact that I was not notified of the cancellation of my membership, this glitch was the fault of the science center and my member tickets should have been honored. That being said:I am highly disappointed that I was charged nearly double the regular admission price for the chance to explore less than half of the regular exhibits. The advertisements regarding the planetarium experience were extremely misleading - we did not get a planetarium show, instead we watched an outdated 10 minute ad for NASA. The guides (although very friendly) had very little knowledge about space, were unable to answer our questions, and were spreading misinformation throughout the tour. I expected more from a SCIENCE center.
By far one of my favorite museums in Arizona! It was super fun as a kid and is super fun now, too. Its so big, I dont think Ive ever covered the entire museum in 1 day. Prepare to spend a lot of time in there, as youll probably need 4-6 hours if you want to look at everything and not speed through. I love how they have a specialty exhibit that changes every 9 months-ish. Last time I went it was an Egyptian mummy exhibit! Highly recommend.
This is a great place to escape the heat with young children - AZ Science Center. Watch for special movie showings. We attended the special museum engagement - Pompeii The Exhibition and it was AMAZING!
What a great place! A great place to learn, great place to bring the kids.
I had a total blast here with my family on vacation last week. We were in Phoenix to see the Pirates @ Diamondbacks series, but this place was within walking distance and easy to get to, so we took a break from all that baseball to check it out and enjoy the A/C for a few hours. And if I wasnt with a group I wouldve stayed MUCH longer. Lots to see, touch, feel, test, and experience. The platform with the thunderstorm and severe wind was really neat. Cool stuff in the gift shops, too. I didnt get to do the planetarium, unfortunately. My only quip: At the very beginning of the visit you pay them plenty to gain admission to the Science Center. You should NOT have to keep reaching back into your wallet again and again to pay for each exhibit a la carté. The older family members appreciated that there was always a restroom nearby. We all absolutely loved playing in there all day and highly recommend it. Fun and educational. And air conditioned. Lol
Its was awesome!! My 3 year old son and I loved it. Only if we would have arrived earlier, we would have had more time to get to enjoy everything. But the best part was, well, EVERYTHING!! We will definitely be going back soon. Oh and the best part was THAT YOU ONLY HAD TO PAY 3$ WHEN YOU SHOW THEM YOUR EBT CARD!! Great deal compared to 16$ admission.
It was really peaceful and I like how they required masks for the place
Super fun place! The mummy’s exhibit was so cool! Real mummy’s! It was so informative and exciting with lots of hands on science exhibits for kids. A lot of natural minerals that were found locally and some interesting recycling exhibits on the 3rd floor..
Great place for a T-Rex encounter
This place is EXTREMELY outdated for SCIENCE!!! Like I came here for a high school field trip and returned at 27 with my son Science is interesting but this Museum for Science was a let down. Like if you’re pursuing Science and come here this place will kill that dream.
Have great memories as a child here, so i brought my son who just loves it. Very educational and kid friendly.
This place was awesome. Place was good. Live performance was good. Learn science in a fun way.
There was so much to see and never a boring minute! The Victoria dinosaur exhibit as INCREDIBLE and that alone was worth the cost. Which wasn’t bad at all. Every corner had something to see and do. Everything is hands on and I recommend this for ALL ages.
Love the science center. We’re members and my kids love it. I did take one star down because the extra exhibits are always underwhelming. The main stuff is enough for my kids. There is a lot to see and do here.
The Science Center is a great place to take the family and to go on a school field trip. Its 3 levels of fun! The demonstrations are fun to watch and they involve the kids. Its a great place to go in the summer to get out of the heat. They have a wide variety of exhibits to learn from. From aviation to the human body.
The Pompeii exhibit, which is why I wanted to go to this museum, is taken down. A mirror maze will be replacing it starting June 30th. There are rooms with lessons about the human body (including a huge replica of a stomach, and information about the human brain), physics (the bed of nails was a big hit), rocks and minerals, technology, bugs, construction, and weather. There are some free shows (we saw one about fire and one about weather) and opportunities to spend more money on Planetarium shows and rides on their SkyCycle bicycle on a wire. Some exhibits could use updating, but overall my kids (11 and 7) and I had a good time. We spent about 3 hours at the museum, moving at a comfortable pace. Theres also an overpriced souvenir shop, as in almost every museum. The cafeteria seemed reasonably priced, but we did not eat there.
The Arizona Science Center is a gem in the heart of downtown Phoenix. Filled with many different areas to explore, this is not a place to only come to once. You could spend the entire day there and still not see everything. For that I suggest buying a membership so that you can enjoy this place of wonder and discovery. Dont forget to check out the planetarium, theater, and traveling exhibits. The Arizona Science Center is sure to capture the minds of all who enter.
Absolutely love when I can make my family do #FamilyTime its been a while since weve been to the #AzScienceCenter my toddler was just a baby the last time. I love how much fun #MyBoys had! We went towards the closing time so wasnt so crowded and didnt have to worry about losing them when their attention was captured by different areas. They just loved every area! Every time we made them move to the next section they didnt want to go but then once there, they didnt want to go We cant wait to go next time and watch some of the cinemas they offer#lfthx #OrganicAd
We went to the Arizona Science Center to check out the Pompeii exhibit that is being displayed till May 28th, 2018. This exhibit is amazing! Its not every day that you can see 1000 plus year old historic artifacts that are so well preserved up close and personal. The exhibit was laid out very well, had plenty of time to walk around read the facts and history behind each artifact, I would highly recommend the audio tour. Everyone should check it out before it leaves Arizona. The science center it self is pretty cool as well. Plenty of fun activities for adults and children alike.
Great place for kds & adults alike, especially the Pompeii exhibit.
The new guided experiences are a great way to experience the science while staying safe during the current pandemic.
Victoria the T Rex experience was super cool and worth the money. The science center was pretty busy even though we got there at opening on Monday morning due to the class field trips. There were a few things my toddlers could play with so the trip was worth it for us but it was pretty hectic with all the middle schoolers running around. I was able to maneuver around all the floors with my stroller though. Next time I’ll probably wait until they’re older and can read and learn from the different exhibits.
I’ve been to lots of science centers or kids zones but honestly I’m truly impressed at the amount of things there was for my two year olds to touch, hold, pull, pull, engage, and learn from. Highly recommend.I recommend eating before 11:15 if your there in a weekday (even in summer) to prevent eating with school groups.Elevators are well accessible, staff was friendly, I also found it stroller friendly. Additional experiences are extra so check website ahead of time and plan your trip for best experience.Great deals on groupon. I highly recommend a season pass if you are local and looking for summer air conditioned to do with the kids. We were there 3 hours and for sure did not get to do-everything.Parking garage on 5th ave and Monroe for validated parking (clearance 6ft8inch), 12$ parking on Washington between 5th-7th street (clearance 8ft in some areas).
We went to the Science Center to see the Pompeii Exhibit and spent $52.00 because we had to pay to get in as well and an additional $12 for parking. Way too much to spend for just wanting to see the Pompeii Exhibit. We walked around since we paid for it while we waited for our scheduled time to go in and found several of the childrens interaction activities broken. The only thing that was worth the trip was the Pompeii Exhibit. Its very informative and the artifacts are amazing. The story behind it is very sad. This is a wheelchair friendly building.
This place is ... meh. Brought my 6yo and grandma and even with military and senior discount still paid $45 for entry just to have to come in and pay for all the exhibits additionally. There were lots of interesting and interactive things for him to do but even at 6, a lot of it was over his head. There were a few things that he got really interested in but all in all, for the price I paid, I don’t think it’s worth it. I’d rather pay a little more at entry and have everything included than have to pay an extra fee for just about everything inside.
I would recommend this for very young kids as the offerings are not that great for older children or adults. Sparse museum with interactive activities, but too expensive for the value received.
We had a good time. It’s in a fun area. My only issue is that several exhibits were broken- levers didn’t pull, iPads weren’t connected, pieces broken off. Overall the museum is showing its wear and needs to be updated and taken care of. It’s a little dated. The extra exhibits like Victoria were super technical and in great shape. I wish the museum was kept up a little nicer.
Loved it. ist huuuge so may school buses and kids... still we as visitors still fit perfect. our 4 year old looved it.
I love coming here. Every single time is such an exciting adventure. Theres so much to see around every corner! Great for humans of all ages.
Review Update:We came back for our second visit. I updated this to 5 stars because this time around every exhibit we came across was working! Also my daughter who is now 21 months had an even better time so if you plan on taking little ones I do suggest waiting. We also went a Sunday afternoon and there were a lot more people there so my daughter was able to interact with more kidsHad a great Monday afternoon with the husband and daughter here. My daughter who is a year and half had a blast as did myself and husband. Without my daughter I probably would have been slightly underwhelmed with some of the exhibits though. Other reviewers have mentioned it’s geared more towards children which I do agree but there was a lot of exhibits especially in the body section that adults could enjoy and learn from!We had to cut out visit short, but the next time we go i hope to have time for the planetarium show.4 stars because I do agree there could be some loving given to the areas and exhibits that are not working but there is a lot to do even if not of them work.
My daughter does enjoy coming here. The only problem we encounter is parents not watching their children. It would be a more pleasant environment if it was supervised better.
Outdated, smaller than expected... I’d even call it lame unfortunately.
Very fun, very informative. A good place for older kids that have had some science exposure. Not bad for littles, there just isnt as much for them. If you can get a good deal on a family membership (like through Groupon) its a great deal, and the reciprocal agreement with other places is amazing! We used it a lot on trips to California and Utah.
A different kind of Sunday funday. Certainly more of a child friendly venue, but my husband and I enjoyed ourselves. Especially seeing the T-Rex! Unfortunately but not totally surprising, that exhibit was an additional cost to the admission fee.Id go back again, probably with littler humans where one can certainly spend an entire day if they desired.
Its ok but theres better places if youre looking for a family outing. There is no parking on site. The two garages listed on the site had confusing price signage. Had to park two blocks away because the nearby garages had $12hr signage, only to find out that they validate parking inside, despite stating they dont over the automated phone. I remember having fun times here when I was younger. Upon revisiting I noticed nothing has changed in 20 years. A large number of interactive projects/displays were not functional. Everything seems really outdated and worn besides the auditorium exhibits. I have been to other state science centers and this one is definitely lackluster for the price.
We attended the Pompeii exhibit, what an amazing and humbling presentation of artifacts. The presentation was very well put together. we checked out the rest of the facility which is geared towards the kids. the planetarium looks like a great exhibit to check out as well
Best place Ive ever been to definitely coming back again.
Great place for kids, not so great for adults. While the simulations are colorful and interactive, many of them are dirty, worn down, and stained with years of wear and tear. Several exhibits were inoperable, and the videos at many stations were obviously from the early 2000s, if not 1990s. For the general admission price of $18 per adult, it leaves one to wonder about where all the money and donations go. It could be a fun environment for kids, not a great place for adults alone.
I expected more of a natural history museum type vibe where theres plenty for adults and kids, rather than a full-on kid zone, but thats probably on me for not actually doing any research before coming. I still had a nice time exploring. I liked the Arizona gems section, which is probably not the section that kids like, but I think this is a great place to take kids.
Great for kids of all ages! Educational fun! We had a great time! I noticed that some reviews mentioned one of the water tables being broken, and it we did see that it was broken when we were there. However, they still had three functional water tables, and so many other things to do! Everything else was working properly, and its a big place. We spent most of the day there and are excited to return! If you are looking for a way to entertain and teach your kids, I recommend the science center! We even had lunch at the Bean Sprouts Cafe, and the food was tasty and healthy. All the restrooms and exhibits were clean.
Fun little place to go. Especially if you love being a kid at heart! #organicad #lfthx #azsciencecenter
Parking garage cost too much and they didnt let me know before I bought the ticket then tell me to bring parking ticket in for discount. Bad service
Participating in the program museum for all, you can get general entrance tickets for $3 if you have a ebt card up to four persons... AZ Science Center is a place where all the family can have fun at the same time that you are learning...I totally recommend it, a fun place where you can spend some quality family time!!!!
The childrens water play area in the outdoor section near the ticket table is completely neglected. I dont think there was one exhibit there working. Get a repair crew in there ASAP - where is the maintenance, upkeep, and care for your exhibits? Kids go to the science center for hands on learning - wont go again for a long time, nor would I renew my membership due to the negligence in quality. Review will be updated once you fix your poor exhibits.
My wife and I visited to see the Pompeii exhibit. With so much to see we actually spent about 5 hours at the center.Pricing can get step, so visit your library for free tickets (if available). We watched the 3D movies for Africa and the ocean and I highly recommend you do the same. The experience was wonderful and both movies were informative and exciting. For is pricey, but supports the center so budget for it or bring food to enjoy on the 4th floor terrace.Visit the website to see what new and amazing exhibits they have...Pompeii was very cool and had so many exhibits. We cant wait to see what is next!
Went to see Victoria, the T. Rex!!! Nice display! Very informative!
Horrible entrance for a wheelchair/stroller!!! I came with an 8yr old & small child in stroller. After we paid entrance fee we were instructed to go back outside, up and around a ramp and wait for someone to open a door. We did as instructed and no one was there we walked in circles, down additional ramps and to the other side of the building . We finally had to go all the way back to the entrance and ask again. They said someone should be at the door but no one was called/or never showed. There is no sign on the door, in fact its all cement like the building and looks like a secret door (or an unmarked employee entrance). I feel sorry for anyone in a wheelchair who has to go so much farther and around in circles trying to enter. This is the downtown science museum in a huge city, how has no one changed this entrance? Making disabled people and familys with small children have to go through an obstacle to enter is ridiculous & frustrating. (Also in between level 2-3 there is a music exhibit that is only accessible by stairs). I am so confused and outraged by the lack of accessibility for wheelchairs/strollers. Very unprofessional...*Also they charge additional prices for some of the exhibits...$5 to ride a sky bike which is a little bicycle that rides over a cable...bring your own food too! a small bag of chips was $2! Lots of broken/out-of-order exhibits as well. Most of the exhibits were hands on and great, aimed mostly toward children but still interesting. Im just so turned off by the pricing and accessibility. I used to love this museum but now its starting to feel more like overpriced carnival. Save your money and go to the childrens museum/zoo/aquarium.
Ive always loved the interactive exhibits here. Dont miss the fourth floor - its easy if youre just exploring and its got some fun electricity and light experiments!
This is a great place to bring family and friends. Children will have no problem finding something to kindle their imagination. Dont miss the current mummies of the world exhibition.
Took my mother here for her birthday to see the Pompeii exhibit. It was amazing. The people who worked here were all super nice. Even after we left and found put my mom lost her key fob. They were all super helpful and let me retrace my steps until I found it. Cant wait to go back to see more. Also, big thank you to the people running the Pompeii exhibit and the info desk for being a big help and being awesome about it.
Spent 2-3 hours in the Pompeii exhibit at ASC. Cant say enough about the multimedia displays, videos, reconstructions, artifacts, and absolutely amazing overall display of this historic event. Well done, lots learned and will be remembered!
We are just visiting and had a couple hours to kill. I thought the science center was great for what we came to do but if we lived here I wouldn’t waste the money on a membership. They Charge extra for multiple exhibits and many of the activities didn’t work. I just don’t think the costs of admission matches up to quality.
There are so many ways to learn and have fun at the same time! There are activities for all ages. The children had a fun time and the family membership is a great deal! Wed like to go back and see a show at the planetarium next time.
I’ve been visiting the Science Center for 10 years now and I can say the exhibits haven’t changed much if at all.I did the Groupon which was a fantastic deal so To go once in a while especially to get out the heat is ok.I’m not sure if other states have more in depth science centers but I would agree with most reviews that it’s geared for school age which is fine as it’s great for field trip.I would love to see some new attractions, the water area is fantastic when it’s working.Toddler friendly science would be great too.
We purchased a family pass and come here a lot. Just tried the cafe beansprout inside the science center and this quaint little place was absolutely enjoyable. It happened to be my birthday on this day and the crew made it a point to make it special, the cashier Brent was polite and funny. The food is fair priced and well prepared. The food is served on paper plates which was perfect for the kids. I would recommend this place for a nice lunch, you won’t be disappointed.
Loved it. Very intellectually stimulating and fun for any age. Adult night refreshments are awesome
My kids liked it there, when they was younger.
This is a really great museum for the size. The paleontology displays are especially enjoyable. The local history section was well displayed. The roof top area was great (was there for an after hours event).
This is one of my favorite places to go downtown, there is so much to do and see. The exhibits are always fantastic and the shows at the planetarium are amazing.Check out lasers and liquor, they put on a light show in the planetarium and they sell adult beverages as well.
The Arizona Science Center is a wonderful place for someone of any age. You can bring your whole family here, including grandma! The thing that really stuck out for me was the water play station out in a courtyard. So many cool things to look at are right in here and so many exhibits.
Great time. Victoria rules!
Very interesting and fun stuff here. The amount of screaming kids can be a little over whelming.
We actually went for the planetarium, because my daughter really likes the planets. But, of course, u cant just get into the planetarium, they make u buy a general admission ticket, which was $36 for wife & I. Then the planetarium runs u another $18. Plus $12 for parking (apparently they validate and u get 50% off, unfortunately no one bothered to tell me about this). Add a $40 stop in the gift shop and its a $100 afternoon. And the planetarium show we saw, Ice Worlds, was really disappointing. After listening to Jason, or Steve, or Cooper blather on for 15 minutes, they finally got to the show. You only see a glimpse of the planets for a few minutes and the movie itself was only about 15-20 minutes and then another 10 minutes of some roller coaster effects. And I was surprised how poor quality the video was. I was expecting alot more, especially for the $$$ admission cost. There were a couple of decent kids displays and my daughter enjoyed moving from room to room to play. But for toddlers there was only a couple of age appropriate exhibits. Its really geared more towards older kids. Also a little surprised for a science center there was no dinosaur exhibit. In fact, there isnt a planetary exhibit either, also strange given that they have the planetarium in there.Overall, we were unimpressed and for the amount of $$$ spent, definitely arent planning to return.
I have loved the science center since I started coming as a kid 20 years ago. Its just as fun now as an adult!
Im always looking for fun things to do indoors to occupy my 2-year-old. Bonus for AZ Science Center - 2 and under are free, which made it affordable to go. The center is amazing, but I found that it is definitely more age-appropriate for elementary and up. But my little one still had a lot of fun pushing buttons to make things light up, etc, even if she didnt understand what each exhibit was about. She especially enjoyed the outside water area. I think it would be awesome if they could have a special area that is made for pre-school and under. I think it would make a lot of parents (and kids) happy.
The Arizona Science Center is fun for the young and the young at heart! I enjoyed having the opportunity to learn and explore.
My wife and I arrived kate in the afternoon, apparently only 30 before closing. We were not alerted to this fact and had to leave well before we got our moneys worth. In addition, many of the interactive exhibits were very untidy. It seems that, after 4:00 or so, nobody bothers to clean up.
On the good side, it has a lot of information and the interactive exhibits are clever. On the bad side... its a museum geared towards children, and really should be marketed as such. Came here looking for somewhere to wander and learn and instead found myself crowded by 1st graders. A pity. I wish I kept my receipt.
Nice place for kids.
Took my family here during our spring break and we all enjoyed it. Great for all ages. My kids are 6-16 and everyone had a great time. We spent about 2 hours here and wished we had about another hour. Parking is nearby and make sure you get your parking validated. It’s the difference between $12 to $3. We did a groupon deal and are excited to use the pass for other science museums on the list while we travel. I recommend starting on the top floor and working your way down but make sure you leave yourself enough time to enjoy the 1st floor at the end.
Pretty cool place. I notice a lot of the exhibits were not working or were broken there were hardly any staff on the floor which was kind of odd.our experience was okay nothing to write home about.
Beautiful facility, and a great way to stay out of the heat during the summer. The only area of opportunity I’ve seen is that some of the hands-on attractions are in disrepair. The giant water table is great fun, but several parts of it were not functioning over the various times we visited this summer.
I brought my little boy here for the 1st time today and he had so much fun. Especially when he had so much fun drawing with chalk on the 4th floor terrace with Miss Brennah who was so sweet to him. Thank you so much Miss Brennah for making my Angels day
The Science Center is a great place. Unfortunately, MESMERICA does not add to the experience. An overactive graphics generator with endless elevator music. Overpriced. Overrated. An hour of my life that would been better spent doing anything else.
The Science Center was a wonderful place to spend time. I specifically went to see the Mummy exhibit, although I would like to return again when I have time to see the rest. Parking was close and only $1 with validation. It seems to have a lot of exhibits geared toward children.
What an awesome set up. But I must be real . This would have not been able to happen for my family if it wasn’t for frys and there need to make their community experience things they would not normally be able to. Thank you I understand everything has a cost and I’m totally not saying that the fees are over priced. No not at all. But to take my boys and and actually do more then look around. Actually see a show n my son try the bike that rides across everyone in mid air. But if u can go Go! If ur counting ur pennies I’ll post the next free admission.
Make sure your bring an extra $100 dollars on top of admission prices if youre a family of 5 or so. We were astonished that we had to pay for the exhibits and then admission to the museum on top of it. Felt nickled and dimed to death while we were there. That and the dated, broken displays and material about drug addiction and a meditation room made us wonder where the science was for children. Our daughter was disappointed about the dinosaur movie as she expected to learn more about them and less about nonsense theories.Wont be back.Go to the Phoenix Zoo! Better investment and experience.
Our first stop was the Mummy Exhibit. I was very impressed with this particular exhibit. I have been to several other mummy exhibits throughout the years and I have to say this was the most informative and inclusive of world-wide occurrences that I have seen. No phones, cameras, or video are allowed inside the exhibit itself. You start out as a group but you can go as fast or as slow as you would like. I took a bit longer than the rest of my group and it was not a problem. There is a lot of written information as well as the displays themselves. This particular exhibit is a rotating one so it is not always at the Science Center.
I was there from WI. I read the reviews and should have not went. They were so true lot of things there were broke, Or out of service. My son is 8 years old and loves science. But this place is more like a 5 year old place. Not worth the $55. After being there for 20mins we left. I think we were there that long because u have to walk far.
Brought my daughter here for the Mummies exhibit and had a fabulous experience! Loved that there was an after hours option just for the special event, so please keep those coming!
Fun place for kids and even adults. The exhibition are priceless and unique. Is all hands on. Its a great experience. The employees are very nice. Many things to have fun with. We usually stay about 3 hours.
Had a good time yesterday with friends. The science center is geared towards school age kids. My 7 year old had a great time. The younger kids had a good tie to just were a but less focused.
